| The office of the United States' top intelligence official appeared to take the blame Friday for the Obama administration's changing narrative on the U.S. Consulate attack in Libya, saying administration officials who initially claimed the attack was spontaneous did so based on intelligence officials' guidance. The statement by Shawn Turner, spokesman for Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, was put out late Friday -- (Snip) Turner's statement marked a complete reversal from the initial claims. "As we learned more about the attack, we revised our initial assessment to reflect new

Comments: So, Romney was correct from the get go when the talking points LSM went after him, instead of the 0bama administration for the murder of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens & and act of war against our sovereignty.
Local weekend talk shows will continue 0bama talking points on racism, homosexuals, integration, etc. Typical Friday ''dump'' if you're throwing yet another person under your bus, Bambi.

Does it matter what any of them say, said, or will say?
Benghazi leads to this conclusion:
Washington needs hundreds or thousands more intelligence officials, oops I meant top intelligence officials, more security advisers, and more bureaus with more analysts consulting with more Senior Fellows at more think tanks.
Retired and former officials are very good too.
More staff at State and in the WH and at the Pentagon and CIA. Janet needs dozens at DHS, lesbians preferred.
And every single one will be the smartest person in any room.
Then we will be safe.

Either he is lying to cover another Obama lie - or the United States has an incredibly, scandalously, dangerously incompetent intelligence agency. I hope he is lying and that they were not really dumb enough to leap to the conclusion, peddled in no uncertain terms by the administration, that the attacks were purely spontaneous. It is not likely that intelligence professionals would make a strong commitment to such a scenario early on. It is highly likely that he is lying to provide cover for Obama and our clueless State Department
Either way, a complete housecleaning is in order. These people are going to get us all killed if we don't get them out of office and keep them out.

If this is intended to give Obama cover (and it certainly is), why is he too stupid to use it? He's still beating the "it was the movie" drum. If this comes up at the debate (which it may not seeing who the "moderators' are), I'm sure he'll say it as faulty intelligence that fed the "early" reports. But the early reports lasted a couple of weeks. What a dufus.

Within 24 hours of the Benghazi attack anyone with any experience at all knew that this attack coming on the anniversary of 9/11 by radical Muslims using heavy weapons like RPG's and mortars was a terrorist attack.
So here we are today with the guy who heads US intelligence in Washington DC having no choice but to fall on his sword for Obama. Everyone in the Obama Administration is expected to always have Obama's back, and deflect blame away from Obama or resign. Defecting blame is nothing new for Obama, he does it all the time, if you don't believe it just ask G.W. Bush.
If this intelligence guy and his crew could really not figure out what actually happened at the US Consulate in Benghazi until about now, they need to resign and get out of the way, because they are so incompetent that are bound to get a lot of Americans killed in the future.

#24 - I read or heard (I digest a lot of information each day, sorry I can't recall) that he had been ''instructed'' to go there to retrieve sensitive documents from that consulate building, supposedly BEFORE the turmoil in Egypt and its effects spread there.
In other words, HE WAS LURED THERE.
That begs the deeper, more penetrating question:
Who INSTRUCTED him to go there for those documents?
You get three guesses....... it could only have been someone who (1) knew there were documents there to retrieve, and (2) knew the turmoil in Egypt (''CAUSED'' by a stupid video???) was a cover for this planned attack.
Now, were (1) and (2) connected? Or worse, the same person?
Never let a good crisis go to waste, eh....?

Looks like the DNI, Gen. James Clapper (previously of DIA), has decided...or more likely was told to "fall on the sword" to protect Obama's re-election chances.
Believe me, these intelligence analysts knew...no doubt in my military mind. Analysis goes up the chain, through numbers of echelons...being watered down at each level. Moreover, we've heard the inside scoop that OBAMA doe NOT want intelligence briefings while on the campaign trail (he gets his intelligence from Letterman and the women if "The View")...and the U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. actually went to lunch with Hillary Clinton while Netanyahu addressed the U.N. Sad. These people MUST go!

It's axiomatic to "Progressives" that hard power (actual, usable power)is a nasty remnant of our testosterone driven past and must be both avoided and bled in endless symbolic propitiation.
Only fashionable disadvantaged cultures are permitted to use weapons in their struggle against the oppressive west.
Our military must be both degraded and shamed for all it's historical predations.
The selfless leftists will, however, insist upon acting as the holder and distributor of all assets during the great struggle.
We must have fairness above all.
Security ?
The rest of the world would be much safer if America hadn't hogged all the Security.
We must share our security with the less secure.
There is really no end to the foolishness once you go down the liberal road.

Clapper is out on his keister in a couple of months, so he's expendable anyway.
This is the intelligence genius that had no knowledge whatever of the London terror attacks in 2010, remember that? and in 2/2011 in a hearing on Capitol Hill declared that the Muslim Brotherhood is 'largely secular'.
Even the DNI choked on that one and in hours 'clarified' Clapper's statement to say that Clapper is 'well aware that the MB is not a secular organization'. The CIA website refers to it as a 'religious-based party' and Huckabee called the MB as secular as Billy Graham and the pope.
Taking this fall for the greater good of Preezy Pantload is the most useful thing he's done.

Watergate was a 2nd rate burglary and an attempted coverup but caused a president to be thrown out of office after a constant attack by the MSM.. This thing is a thousand times more serious and the MSM is clearly not interested. After all of the unbelievable lies by Obama and his minions, Obama thought it was time to bring in the Head of Intel James Crapper to bail him out. Crapper then said he has mislead Obama and it was his fault for all the bad information. Yeah, that's believable! This was a "hail Mary" pass that fell a little short. The fact is that Obama bogus story went on for days right up to Obama's UN speech when he told the Muslims how sorry he was for that nasty film. Also Hillary can kiss 2016 goodby for not protecting her people in Libya and then lying her rear end off. It's going to be really interesting on how this all plays out in days to come.

Yet after the high-profile murder trial of an abortion doctor in Philadelphia this spring, many Republicans in Washington and in state capitals across the country seem eager to reopen the emotional fight over a woman’s right to end a pregnancy. In a 5-to-3 vote, the justices effectively said that the Federal Trade Commission can sue pharmaceutical companies for potential antitrust violations, a decision that is likely to increase the number of generic drugs in the marketplace and benefit consumers. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

It is understood that a contingency plan is in place for the unlikely event that an attempt would be made on the President’s life. The Secret Service also have diplomatic immunity which will allow them to shoot to kill a would-be assassin without fear of prosecution. As part of the “evacuation route” plan, they would be able to spirit the President by chopper to one of the carriers where a jet is on standby to take him back to the United States.
