Some Administration Officials
Were Concerned About Initial White
House Push Blaming Benghazi
Attack on Mob, Video

ABC News, by Jake Tapper

Original Article

Posted By:Photoonist, 9/27/2012 7:56:25 PM

Even before Defense Secretary Leon Panetta contradicted the initial story about the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, today, Obama administration officials told ABC News they were concerned after the White House began pushing the line that the attack was spontaneous and not the work of terrorists. Events were too uncertain, and suspicions had been aroused, officials said. (Snip) White House officials acknowledge that assessments have changed over time as intelligence has been confirmed, but they insist that no information was given in bad faith and there was no attempt to downplay the attack.

Comments:
Major Streisand exhibited in the 0bama regime here as Tapper relates how they told lie after lie. The original concern must have been that their lies were so stupid that some experienced officials knew they wouldn't stand long.

The criminals in the Zero regime don't have a simple disregard for the truth, they have blatant contempt for it.

OP nailed it. They were only concerned about how to keep the lies going. We know now that information was certainly given in bad faith. Every attempt was made to downplay and still is.

The press isnt really going to take them to task for this. The attacks happened two weeks ago....it's old news. Besides....Romney paid too much in taxes....what an idiot. /s/

Doesnt matter. The press will not report the truth and will go out of its way to keep liberals in power no matter who they are. Republicans can't do anything in Congress until they have enough votes to overcome the democrats. And does anyone believe that democrats will vote to impeach a democrat president no matter how incompetent and corrupt. The justice department wont do anything. They are to busy protecting Obama and Holder. The Supreme Court?? I suspect that Thomas, Alito and Scalio may be the only ones on the court that have ever read the constitution.

So.....my friends. The only way that anything is going to change is at the ballot box. And if the ballot box fails, It may be time to consider watering the tree of liberty.

Simple. There is nothing at all surprising here. We do not have a President of the United States nor of the American people. Until November 6, it is a reelect at all costs operation. The first cost of course being The Truth. And the American people be damned. Any administration figure with character should have already resigned. The lack of resignations show you what kind of characters are presently infesting our government at the highest levels.

I imagine fingers were crossed all over the White House as the mendacity flowed from the lips of Obit, Hill, Little Jay Carney, etc. Some have reputations they may not want to go down with the ship.

In my take on things..the conservative media, et al, Rush, Sean, Levin have missed the point. Yes, it was a terrorist attack, all of us in the know knew it was tied to 911.

This issue they miss to interpret is that this was a PLANNED attack to coincide with 911 and they didn't today emphasis the Iranian leaders position that it had NOTHING to do with a stupid video a CHRISTIAN made that no body saw.

To me, THAT was the point to make.....

All the gloating over Bin Laden's death probably contributed to this attack. This is not being discussed among the usual liberal sources--the alphabet networks, the New York Times, the WaPo, etc. But Abu Ghraib--where no one was killed-- was front page news in the Times for months.

The WH wanted to cover their arses on Barry's failed policies. Too bad, so sad that it didn't work. Their mistake was thinking voters are completely stupid.

To me, for as fast as they came out with this idiot video story, sounded as if they knew not only that the attack was planned, but they had their excuse all in line already too.

Come on - think about that day. First we see Barcky and Mitch at the 9/11 ceremony at the DoD, looking all solemn and somber, even trying to look respectful. I wondered at the time what he was really thinking..... could he have been pondering this attack? We now know they had 24 hours' notice ... ergo, he knew at that 9/11 ceremony what was about to happen - or at least what COULD happen that day.

The video excuse was thrown out there all too fast, too pat, too continuously. They almost all sounded like hostages - saying what their captors made them say, 'OR ELSE.'

Pretense 9/11 face, toss out moron excuse of a video, FLY TO VEGAS, baby! No big deal!

Initial blame of 'angry mob' because of video? INITIAL? This ACT of blaming the video fall guy for everything never went away. He was arrested yesterday .... on other charges, of course. But the empty heads who drool and pant after Obama have been convinced the man sits in jail because he, alone, is responsible for all terrorist activity.

#12 and others; almost no one is relating the attacks to 9-11. That was the first thing I thought about.

Of course, if the White House wasn't prepared for the anniversary they would have to begin a string of lies.

They knew this was the result of their total incompetence when it happened and their instincts were to lie and assume the MSM would cover for them.

No wonder they sent zero off to hide behind the teleprompter on the campaign trail instead of facing world leaders after having American blood on his hands.

How ironic that shortly before this happened Zero's sycophants were replying to claims that he didn't attend daily security briefings that he didn't need to. After all - zero figures he's always the smartest guy in the room.

This uber political administration's calculation is...
If this disinformation fiasco was embarrassing, and if they've lost political capital in DC on this, it is well worth it for the few thousand voters they fooled in Ohio, Virginia and Florida. Fooled them into thinking that the Prez is still strong on foreign stuff and Benghazi was all about that crazy video. Mission accomplished.

These administration characters are not trying to fool us political smarties, so don't be insulted by their transparent lies. They are all about fooling the foolable, and that, they think, is all they need to win a close election.

#21, what we are witnessing is the beginning of a true dictatorship.

**The Press is not independent, has no interest in getting at the truth. Exceptions of course, still FOX (although wobbles a bit here and there --not counting, for example, O'Reilly), and "new media".

**Those who would normally speak out or protest about fraud and deception are fearful of doing so.

**And then, we have a thoroughly dumbed-down population, with large pockets of non-citizens who have no love for the Country, no desire to become part of it.

Over and over BO has thumbed his nose at us. He gets away with his unConstitutional behavior. With each infraction he gathers more strength.

With the aura of great popularity, those Democrats who might join those who seek to rein him in are frightened into moral paralysis.

PRAY.

Send this story far and wide, it is up to us to inform, as there is very little legitimate media anymore.
It is up to us to replace Obama the failure.

If should have been as clear a cleaned glass that an attack that occurred on the anniversary was NOT any flash mob activity but a very carefully planned and executed action. And it was planned to occur on 9/11 for a reason. For someone who is supposed to be the smartest man in the world(Obozo) and the smartest woman in the world(PIAPS) it sure was a miss. And like others here, I would not be surprised if the video story was already known by the WH and was being kept it secret to be used at a convenient time.

President Mr. Eye Candy was to busy with Letterman, The View and JZ to be concerned about early reports of Terrorist trouble at our embassies in the Middle East. Consequently, when the Middle East blew up the Pres. was stuck sucking his thumb?

They all lie through their teeth for the one in the Oval Office in order to keep their cushy jobs at high salaries that they could never get anywhere else because they are liars, incompetents, stupid and devious.

One can only imagine if this scenario had happened during the Bush administration. The story would have grown and it would have been nearly the media's only topic for weeks on end. It would have been presented in such a way to make Bush look totally incompetent, and the drumbeat of impeachment would have started up and kept on. The Sec.of State would have been brought up on charges. The media would have seen to all of it and feasted on the blood letting ad infinitum. I defy any liberal to tell me different.

With this entire Benghazi episode we have a totally revealing window into how this administration thinks and operates, and manipulates especially with the help of their corrupt news media lackeys. Evidence of this last point was the over the top shiny object the media immediately created over Romney's initial statements. Obama ordered his corrupt news media arm to make a really big deal about Romney's remarks as a smokescreen as to what was really happening in Benghazi and beyond.

So Benghazi-Gate is an unwitting true transparency into this administration. We can only surmise how they are operating throughout our government where we have no similar transparency. You cannot spot a person's character or lies in everything they say or do, that is why the courts tell juries that when a witness is found to be untruthful in one instance, they may disbelieve their testimony in all other instances. So we cannot prove Obama and his crew is operating in this craven political/disinforming manner everywhere, but we can now certainly surmise it.

We at Townhall have been covering this hotly contested Senate race for months and the results are finally in: With 36 percent of precincts reporting, Elizabeth Warren has been declared the next junior Senator from Massachusetts. Warren has never held public office before and the eye-popping $40 million she raised this election cycle evidently proved more than enough to unseat incumbent Senator Scott Brown. This was the most expensive Senate race of 2012 -- by a long shot.

The Obama and Romney campaigns may be gearing up for a very late night, with one Obama campaign adviser predicting that in Florida alone, "they'll be counting until 2 a.m." The Obama adviser said signs suggest the race is quite tight, though the campaign claimed to be "holding strong" in key battlegrounds like Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The adviser also said turnout among black voters in Virginia was better than expected, suggesting that could be a problem for Mitt Romney. Washington - Early returns on Tuesday in what is anticipated to be a dead even presidential election contained no surprises, as CNN projected President Barack Obama will win his home state of Illinois and eight other races while Republican challenger Mitt Romney will win nine states. All races called so far went as expected after the roller-coaster ride of an election campaign that was buffeted by a superstorm and missteps on both sides. Obama and Romney ran dead even in final polls that hinted at a result rivaling some of the closest presidential elections in history, reflecting the deep political

Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Five months into his second term, allies and enemies are as confounded as ever about who President Obama really is. Is he the dyed-in-the-wool liberal that his biggest supporters and critics suggest? Or is he a pragmatic, even cynical, politician who cares more for his popularity than taking risks for his ideological goals or living up to his rhetoric? Even in the short period since his reelection, Obama has provided evidence to support conflicting interpretations. His efforts to pass immigration reform, the unsuccessful push for stricter gun controls and tax hikes on high earners buttress the case for Obama-as-ideologue.
