| While much attention was rightly focused on the Romney-Ryan ticket at the 2012 Republican National Convention, significant but perhaps overlooked changes are occurring at the grassroots level: for the first time since the Depression ended GOP national dominance in 1932, Republicans are recruiting and running large numbers of black and Hispanic candidates for state and federal office. In 2012, more than 60 black and Hispanic Republicans are running for Congress, a new record. These candidates are not “sacrificial lambs” set up to lose in heavily Democratic inner-city districts. My district, newly formed AZ CD-9 pits Vernon Parker, black Republican, against Kyrsten Sinema our first openly bi-sexual state legislator and legally certified as the dumbest woman in Arizona.

If the GOP were smart, they would features a lot of these Republicans in an ad because the LSM didn't run their speeches during the convention. I would put up Col. West, Gov. Haley, and especially Susanah Martinez and her, "I'll be damned, we're republicans. Bypass the LSM and speak to the people.

FTA: The modern Republican Party has made solid progress in reaching out to moderate-to-conservative minority candidates who share their values on a truly colorblind basis.
That's the whole point! Dems only care about manipulating them and buying their votes.
I hope my fellow Republicans are like me and care about their hearts - and building this great country together in a fiscally conservative and morally responsible manner that benefits everyone.

MOORE, Okla. Authorities have clarified and significantly downgraded the number of homes damaged or destroyed in this week´s tornado in an Oklahoma City suburb. Oklahoma City Police Department spokesman Dexter Nelson said Thursday that the most recent count indicates that 1,200 homes in the city and the suburb of Moore were affected by Monday´s storm. The mayor of Oklahoma City announced at a news conference Wednesday that as many as 13,000 homes had been destroyed or damaged. There was no immediate explanation for the differing estimates.

He will not mediate between the parties; his work will almost exclusively involve contacts with Israel. (ORLANDO, Fla.) — A Chechen immigrant shot to death in central Florida after an altercation with an FBI agent had several ties to that of one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects who authorities were questioning him about at the time.(Snip)Three law enforcement officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Todashev had lunged at the FBI agent with a knife. Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election.
