| Perpetual campaigner Barack Obama is everywhere. He's in Las Vegas, the internet, over at Jay and Bey's place, and even showed up on EZ Street's show on Washington DC's interactive urban contemporary radio station WKYS. WKYS features "what's hot in the hip-hop community" and judging from the homepage, it's clear Barack Obama remains "hot" in the hip-hop community. Recovering from an unsettling UNIVISION interview, Barack spent a good portion of his marshmallow interview reciting a laundry list of predictable talking points. The President talked about getting out the vote, and encouraged listeners to register at gottaregister.com.

Comments: We have a choice. He is either incredibly lightweight, or all of this is a ruse to hide his evil intent.
I am leaning toward the latter. Much as he seems to enjoy it, this "regular guy in the 'hood" business is just a devious schtick, intended to distract.

Hip Hop is a religion therefore, they should see obama as competition. Then again, birds of an evil feather, they do flock together, don't they?

Voting, registering to vote, participating in the political process -- critical to what kind of country we have. And yet the Obama campaign refuses to treat it with any dignity -- gottavote.com gottaregister.com. This very simple thing reflects the lack of respect Obama has for the system and the country and the voters. We be votin' the Man and he be givin' us free stuff.

For most bigwig Democrats in Washington, D.C., the last 48 hours has delivered news of the worst kind — a flood of new information that has washed away any lingering doubts about where President Obama and his party stand on civil liberties, full stop. Glenn Greenwald’s exposure of the NSA’s massive domestic spy program has revealed the entire caste of current Democratic leaders as a gang of civil liberty opportunists, whose true passion, it seems, was in trolling George W. Bush for eight years on matters of national security. “Everyone should just calm down,” Senator Harry Reid said yesterday, inhaling slowly.

President Obama’s speech at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin today was a stage director’s nightmare. The president was sweating profusely – you could see the outlines of his undershirt. There were ghostly reflections off the protective glass in front of him. And instead of heaving throngs of admirers, Obama addressed 6,000 or so invited guests. And something was wrong with TOTUS! Obama was peering down at his script instead of using his trusty teleprompter. We’re not accustomed anymore to seeing our leaders glance toward the lectern to read, so the president came off looking as if he couldn’t remember

The Florida Civil Rights Association announced Tuesday that it is representing a dismissed juror who was barred from the Seminole County Courthouse until after the George Zimmerman trial concludes. The association says Jerry Counelis, former prospective juror E-7, claims his civil rights were violated during jury selection and alleges that he was defamed by Zimmerman´s attorney Mark O´Mara. Counelis told attorneys during questioning last week in Zimmerman´s second-degree murder trial that he had no opinion about whether Zimmerman was guilty(Snip)But after Counelis admitted to Seminole Circuit Judge Debra S. MSNBC host and Obama sycophant Chris Matthews blamed the sun for spoiling the president’s speech in Berlin today. “I think a lot of the problem he had today was the late afternoon sun in Berlin ruined his use of the teleprompter and so his usual dramatic windup was ruined,” Matthews said immediately after the speech. “I think he was really struggling with the text there.” Speaking behind a glass bulletproof shield, Obama appeared to be using the text of the speech rather than reading off of teleprompters.

ARDMORE, Pa. — Phil Mickelson is in a familiar position once again at the U.S. Open — to either finally close out a win in a tournament he truly cherishes or to suffer yet another maddening close call. Mickelson, a four-time major champion but the only player to finish runner-up five times in the U.S. Open, shot even-par 70 Saturday in the third round of the U.S. Open at unyielding Merion Golf Club and has a one-shot lead heading into Sunday´s final round.

LOS ANGELES — A farewell note left behind by the Santa Monica gunman expressed remorse for the killing of his father and brother but provided no explanation for the rampage that left them and three others dead. Police Chief Jacqueline Seabrooks said that the three- to four-page handwritten note was found on John Zawahri´s body (Snip)Zawahri apparently built his own .223-caliber assault rifle, using it to shoot his father and brother before he set fire to their family home, officials said earlier Thursday.

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Likening religious schools to segregation--a racist system that forced blacks to attend different schools and use different facilities than whites in the American South--President Barack Obama told a town hall meeting for youth in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Monday that there should not be Catholic and Protestant schools because such schools cause division. "Because issues like segregated schools and housing, lack of jobs and opportunity--symbols of history that are a source of pride for some and pain for others--these are not tangential to peace; they’re essential to it,"

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

Listening to Barack Obama give his speech in Belfast on Monday, it was hard not to stifle a yawn. I kept waiting for the part when he would say something interesting, but, about three quarters of the way through, realised it wasn’t going to come. Judging from television pictures some of his young audience felt the same, after the initial rush of euphoria of receiving the rock star president in their midst had passed. This is not surprising, for we had already heard this number about the inspirational role of the Northern Ireland peace process and the Emerald Isle’s

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

This is the thirtieth anniversary of the publication of How Democracies Perish, an analysis of the spread of world communism by Jean-François Revel, one of freedom´s most serious French defenders since Tocqueville. At the heart of this work, Revel details "The Tools of Communist Expansion," among which the most relevant for understanding our current situation comes in Chapter 16, "Ideological Warfare and Disinformation." The profound simplicity of Revel´s nuts and bolts account of totalitarianism´s Cold War advance, far from being obsolete
