Ferguson, Missouri - This was Ferguson early Tuesday morning. Shattered glass from looted stores covered the asphalt. The smoke of tear gas lingered in the cold air. And more than a dozen buildings, including stores owned by local residents, were inexplicably set ablaze. "This ain´t Iraq. This is the United States," Demetric Whitlock yelled to a line of police officers on South Florissant Road, in front of the Ferguson Police Department. When a grand jury decided Monday not to indict Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of Michael Brown, the act triggered fresh confrontations between protesters and police in the

Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani caused a firestorm of controversy Sunday when he questioned why people protest the fatal police shooting of Michael Brown but not black-on-black crime. The heated argument arose on NBC’s “Meet the Press” during a discussion of why some police forces do not reflect the communities of color they patrol — as is the case in Ferguson, Mo., where protesters and authorities anxiously await a grand jury decision on whether to indict Officer Darren Wilson for shooting Brown. “I find it very disappointing that you’re not talking about the fact that 93% of blacks in America are

Barack Obama has managed to damage the formerly close relationship between the United States and Australia, a cornerstone of our presence in the Pacific. Unless you read American Thinker, you probably don’t know about the fuss created when President Obama stuck his nose in Australian domestic politics and insulted that ally during his closing remarks at the G20 Summit in Brisbane last week (snip) Australia is now contemplating a major step, pulling it away from the US and toward China: Mr Robb also intensified pressure within the government to alter its position and join the China regional infrastructure bank, playing down

FERGUSON, Missouri----KMOV-TV reports that the majority of stores that were damaged or completely destroyed during Monday night´s violent riots in Ferguson were minority owned. Fire Departments around the St. Louis County Area put out 25 structural fires caused by vandals and looters following the announcement from the grand jury that Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson would not be indicted in the death of Mike Brown. "I think he is looking at it, and I am strongly encouraging him to take a look at it," said Arizona Senator and former GOP presidential nominee John McCain, of a possible presidential bid by his colleague and friend Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, (R). "I know of no one who is better versed and more important on national security policy and defense than Lindsey Graham, and I don´t think these challenges to our security are going away," added McCain. Graham floated the possibility of a run in an interview with the Weekly Standard last month, telling the magazine

Attorney General Eric Holder emphasized Monday night that while a St. Louis grand jury chose not to indict Officer Darren Wilson, the Justice Department’s investigation isn’t over yet. “While the grand jury proceeding in St. Louis County has concluded, the Justice Department’s investigation into the shooting of Michael Brown remains ongoing,” Holder said in a statement Monday night. “Though we have shared information with local prosecutors during the course of our investigation, the federal inquiry has been independent of the local one from the start, and remains so now.”
