Dems Introduce Gun-Ban Bill as GOP
Seeks to Expand Gun-Carry Protections

Democrats and Republicans introduced dueling gun proposals this week in the Senate with Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.) pushing a new gun-ban proposal and Sen. John Cornyn (R., Tex.) attempting to expand gun-carry protections across the country. Feinstein´s bill, the Assault Weapons Ban of 2019, would ban the sale, manufacture, transfer, and importation of certain semiautomatic firearms. The text of the bill has not yet been released, but Feinstein´s office said it would ban any firearm capable of accepting a detachable magazine and either a "pistol grip, a forward grip, a barrel shroud, a threaded barrel or a

All firearms, with the exception of some bullpup designs, are capable of accepting a forward grip. All are capable of accepting a barrel shroud. Is every adjustable stock a ´telescoping´ stock? I suspect that is the case.

The intended result is only government and criminals (essentially redundant, I know) being armed so we can take our proper place as docile wage and tax slaves.

FTA: "Last year we saw tens of thousands of students nationwide take to the streets to demand action to stop mass shootings "

Students are determining US policy?

BTW: Haven´t we already tried a 10 year ban on so-called assault rifles?

Does anyone think Dianne Feinstein knows what she just proposed with all those big evil sounding words in her bill? BTW what´s an ´assault pistol´? If it is a pistol with a detachable magazine then that´s plenty handguns out there.
Trust me, Feinstein and dems intend to disarm the entire public. Remember the hypocrite Dianne Feinstein purchased and started carrying a handgun after Harvey Milk was killed in city hall, she admitted she purchased it and carried it perhaps without a permit.

Gun laws passed by liberals get overturned in court again and again, but they just keep coming back, hoping their next legislation will somehow "stick."
That definition about insanity as, "Doing the same thing over and over, always hoping for a different outcome," fits libertards in their never ending quest for gun abolishment.

Our nation was founded on GUNS, live with it!

This is not a gun control bill, it is a modern firearm ban bill, as if it is inacted will ban just about every modern rifle and most shotguns manufactured and sold in the USA. You can bet your boots that another such bill will be introduced to ban semi-automatic pistols. The leftist and liberal Democrats have now layed their true firearms ban agenda on the table.

If such a ban is enacted it will also destroy much of the modern firearms and wide ranging related industries throughout the USA, putting large numbers of American workers out of their jobs. The Democrats could care less about that, as those industries are considered to be conservative oriented entities.

One thing the gun-grabbers don´t want anyone to know:

The average colonist farmer/hunter (for food) had a weapon more accurate and lethal than the weapon that was issued to a British soldier.

#12, true, BUT....

Muskets were the assault weapons of the day.

The civilian rifles were very slow to reload, requiring a wet patch wiping the inside of the barrel, then two dry patches, or one in an emergency. In an emergency, two shots could possibly be fired before wiping, but the black powder residue can prevent the tightly cloth patched round lead ball from being fully seated on the powder. If the ball was not directly in contact with the powder charge, the firing pressures skyrocket, and can blow up the gun.

So, for fast loading, many, many times in a day, without swabbing the bore, the only solution was the loosely fitted musket, with premeasured paper cartridges. Since the bullet (ball) was a loose fit, the fouling didn´t cause a problem, but there was no benefit to rifling (to spin the ball and increase accuracy) since the bullet wouldn´t fit tight enough to grip the rifling - so muskets were smooth bored, no rifling groove, no spin, 50% chance of hitting a standing man at 50 paces. No rear sights, no point.

And the muskets had a huge bayonet on the front, a very, very serious weapon in that day of maximum 3 shots per minute from a musket, maybe 1 shot per two minutes from a rifle, and often not that fast. If caught while reloading your rifle (no provision for bayonet) by a bayonet charging Brit, run or die. Bayonets need no reloading.

Accuracy with very slow reloading (rifle) vs three shots per minute rapid fire all day (musket). That is why the musket was used in the military, and why we hid behind trees and fences while sniping the Brits on their way back from Concord. Riflemen could not stand and fight against musket and bayonets. Quickly we got muskets and had "regulars".

WASHINGTON — Attorney General William Barr spent Saturday reviewing the special counsel’s confidential report on the Trump-Russia investigation, but Barr’s “principal conclusions” summary for Congress was not coming for at least another day. No summary for Judiciary Committee leaders — or the public — just yet, said a senior Justice Department official, speaking only on condition of anonymity because the person wasn’t authorized to publicly discuss the review process. Barr has said he expected to send his version to the lawmakers as soon as this weekend after determining what should be made public.

According to most media reporting AG William Barr is meeting with Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein today and reviewing the completed Mueller report. At the end of this review, according to statute, AG Barr will commission a “Principle Conclusion” summary report that he will deliver to congress.(Snip) it is likely the White House will be given the Principle Conclusion Summary around the same time as congress. The White House (executive branch) may also be able to review the full underlying documentation behind the summary…. that’s likely where the political fight for the ‘narrative’ will take place.

Saturday on MSNBC’s “AM Joy,” Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) offered his thoughts on the completion of Department of Justice special counsel Robert Mueller’s report, which was submitted to Attorney General William Barr a day earlier. Lewis insisted Congress will demand the report be released to the public. The Georgia Democrat also said he still believed President Donald Trump’s impeachment was still inevitable. “I think that day will come,” Lewis said when asked by Reid about impeachment prospects. “I don’t think he’s legitimate. I said it back at the end of the election. I still believe that today.”

Robert Mueller’s investigation is done. There will be no more indictments and the existing indictments have nothing to do with his warrant—namely, claims that Donald Trump’s presidential campaign “colluded” with Russia to sway the 2016 presidential election. You’re hearing and reading a lot of spin (and wishful thinking) right now.(Snip) But if you would like a bit of prescient clarity about all of this, I suggest reading—or re-reading, as the case may be—Victor Davis Hanson’s essay, “Autopsy of a Dead Coup,” which made a bit of a splash in mid-February. Florida, with its plentiful beaches, warm weather, and lack of a state income tax, is the most popular destination for older adults in the U.S. But some who have lived in the Sunshine State for years are moving in the opposite direction. As damaging storms and other effects of climate change have hit Florida particularly hard in the past few years, some older adults living there have become concerned about their safety and their ability to enjoy retirement. So they’re fleeing this otherwise balmy state. About 52,630 people ages 65 and over left Florida in 2017, versus 48,174 in

Even though we do not yet know exactly what the Mueller Report says, we do now know that no other indictments are in the works. No collusion with Russia by the Trump campaign was found. So, the self-assured and confident predictions by so many on the left that they had seen "cold, hard evidence," and that Mueller would find copious evidence of "collusion" with Russia, was just wishful thinking alone. They all had to know the infamous "dossier" was faked.

The 20-question quiz promises to leave even the brightest brains scratching their heads. Indeed it is so tricky that its creator, Playbuzz user Terry Stein, claims players will ´never´ be able to score more than 10 out of 20. "Washington National Cathedral was honored to host the funeral service for Senator John McCain. All funerals and memorial services at the Cathedral are organized by the family of the deceased; only a state funeral for a former president involves consultation with government officials," a cathedral spokesperson said in a statement to The Hill on Thursday. "No funeral at the Cathedral requires the approval of the president or any other government official," he added.
