GOP Needs Update to
Dems’ Cage Match Rules

It’s time to update the GOP’s Marquess of Queensbury Rules. If you saw Ruth Bader Ginsburg at Brett Kavanaugh’s swearing-in ceremony, you know that we may need to fill her seat in about 4 1/2 minutes. Naturally, I hope she lives to be 300 — although parenthetically, it seems she already has. The confirmation hearings for Kavanaugh made Robert Bork’s hearings look like a day at the beach. At least liberals only lied about Bork’s judicial philosophy. They didn’t accuse him of being Ted Bundy. The next nomination hearing will make Kavanaugh’s look like an ice cream social.

From the looks of things, it´s just a matter of time. She is frail and can barely sit up straight. Was she asleep in one of those photos of the swearing in? Search Ginsberg at Kavanaugh swearing in.

Remember all this when the Dems get a Senate majority, which will happen someday. Read the Constitution again then, Ann. Politics ain´t beanbag. Never has been; never will be. Unfortunately, Republicans lean on clear-eyed logic, while Dems provide "social proof" of their popularity to those undecideds, even if it´s all bullstuff. (Taylor Swift the latest example.)

Until Republicans get that, act on that, (or unless Dems stop acting like Dems) they will find generally a perpetual disadvantage at the polls.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said Sunday that the agency is focused on rooting out potential criminal gang members who may seek to exploit a so-called "caravan" of Central American migrants seeking asylum in the U.S. "While we closely monitor the caravan crisis, we must remain mindful of the transnational criminal organizations and other criminals that prey on the vulnerabilities of those undertaking the irregular migration journey,” (Snip) "We shall work with our partners in the region to investigate and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law all who seek to encourage and profit from irregular migration,"

Congress faced another hurdle this week in its effort to establish the record of how, why and when the FBI was given information from Fusion GPS on its controversial investigation of President Trump.(Snip)Now, former Fusion employee Nellie Ohr, the wife of Justice Department official Bruce Ohr, has invoked spousal privilege to refuse to answer questions from the committee. The use of spousal privilege in this context, however, could prove more damaging for Congress than the underlying allegations involving Ohr. Congress needs to seriously examine of the basis and scope of this common-law privilege in the context of an oversight investigation.

A class action lawsuit was filed against the Beto O´Rourke campaign on Friday. According to the lawsuit, Beto´s campaign sent text messages to Texas voters without their permission, which would be a direct violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, (Snip) The lawsuit was started by Collin County resident Sameer Syeed, who said he received nine text messages from the campaign. But here´s the problem: he never opted into receiving text message communications from the campaign. Syeed tried calling the numbers he was receiving text messages from but he received an error or disconnected dial tones. which means the Beto

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., on Sunday said that she took the DNA test that showed a relative six to 10 generations ago was Native American in an effort to rebuild "trust in the government" through transparency. Warren said the comment during a tense debate with her Republican challenger for Senate in Massachusetts, state Rep. Geoff Diehl.(Snip) She said that trust in the government is at an all-time low and changed her mind about the test after saying no to being tested in March.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Bernie Sanders says he speaks with Elizabeth Warren nearly every day — just not about 2020. But with the two progressive behemoths on a collision course in the presidential primary — and with some progressive activists alarmed that they might split the vote, allowing a more moderate Democrat to win the nomination — Sanders suggested Friday that a pre-2020 discussion among like-minded potential candidates could be forthcoming. Asked whether he and other progressive contenders should hold talks in an effort to ensure one of them prevails, Sanders told POLITICO, “I suspect that in the coming weeks

Jessica Vaughan, director of policy studies at the Center for Immigration Studies, offered four recommendations to President Donald Trump and his administration on how to solve the border crisis caused by the stream of migrant caravans seeking entry into the U.S. via Mexico. CIUDAD HIDALGO, Mexico — Despite Mexican efforts to stop them at the border, a growing throng of Central American migrants resumed their advance toward the U.S. border early Sunday in southern Mexico. Their numbers swelled to about 5,000 overnight and at first light they set out walking toward the Mexican town of Tapachula, 10 abreast in a line stretching approximately a mile. It was not immediately clear where the additional travelers had materialized from since about 2,000 gathered on the Mexican side Saturday night. They seemed likely to be people who had been waiting on the bridge over the Suchiate

TAPACHULA, MEXICO -- A growing caravan of roughly 7,000 Central American immigrants continued its trek toward the United States on Sunday, blowing past Mexican police and immigration officials. The group, which has swelled in size in recent days, set out before dawn on the only road out of the small Mexican border town of Ciudad Hidalgo. It arrived in the afternoon in the city of Tapachula, more than 20 miles away. The migrants, nearly all from the poor and violent nation of Honduras, posed a growing political and humanitarian calamity for Mexico,

This is beyond odd, but here goes. I rise to defend Hillary Clinton. She is under attack and this time, the long knives are wielded by members of her own clan. Suddenly, after two years of indulging Clinton’s blame games and pity parties, lefty pundits say she’s talking too much, she’s stuck in the past, she had her chance and she blew it. Vanity Fair, declaring that she “still hasn’t learned the lessons of #MeToo,” is furious that Clinton said her husband’s Oval Office dalliance with Monica Lewinsky was not an abuse of power

Every big U.S. election is interesting, but the coming midterms are fascinating for a reason most commentators forget to mention: The Democrats have no issues. The economy is booming and America’s international position is strong. In foreign affairs, the U.S. has remembered in the nick of time what Machiavelli advised princes five centuries ago: Don’t seek to be loved, seek to be feared. The contrast with the Obama years must be painful for any honest leftist.

Hillary Clinton joined Eric Garner’s mother Gwen Carr for a book signing in Manhattan, New York Friday. Gwen Carr penned a book titled, “This Stops Now” in her ongoing effort to pursue justice for her son, Eric Garner who died after a Staten Island police officer held him in a choke hold. Back in 2014, Staten Island police officers attempted to arrest Eric Garner because he was selling unlicensed cigarettes. Video shows Eric Garner resisting arrest, however; racism was blamed for his death. Twice-failed presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, who wrote the forward for Gwen Carr’s book, nodded in agreement after she

San Francisco - Cow´s milk is allegedly a symbol used by white supremacists, according to PETA. In a recent statement, the animal advocate organization explains that dairy milk has been the drink of choice for supremacists because "the dairy industry inflicts extreme violence on other living beings." According to PETA, "some people might be surprised to learn that cows used by the dairy industry are slaughtered after about five years because their bodies are so spent from being kept constantly pregnant." (Snip) Peta links this concept to white supremacy by saying cows are controlled by humans, similar to the mindset of
