Hilarious: Andrea Mitchell asks

An odd form of hubris has overtaken Democrats in both their political and media branches. They are so certain that President Trump is ignorant and they are smart that they march right into traps of their own devising. Consider this face plant by Andrea Mitchell, dead certain that President Trump must be incorrect in has claim about Abraham Lincoln: that event the Gettysburg Address was criticized by Lincoln’s contemporaries (snip) BESCHLOSS: “Yes, he was criticized for to Gettysburg Address by newspapers that hated Lincoln and wanted to support his opponent the next year when he ran for reelection

The narrative is always that the Republican is dumb. I saw it with Reagan, Ford, Bush (41 and 43) and now Trump. Trump is using this to his advantage. There are things going on in the background that the left is completely unaware of, such as the dismantling of the Deep State, and the arrest/future arrests of the evil people. According to Government records, there are over 55k secret sealed indictments ready to be unleashed. Why do you think Trump approved over $200M to modify Gitmo last year. He also approved hiring on 22 privately owned prisons in the US.

And why did Lindsey Graham bring up Tribunals with Justice Kavanaugh? Planting the seeds. And why did Trump sign the Executive Order to declare a State of Emergency last December?

Also, keep in mind that when Telsa (the real guy) passed away back in the 40´s the US Government recovered his notes and papers. Each paper was reviewed to pass off information to our Government and Industry. They needed a very smart person to do that. Who could decipher Telsa´s work and get it to the right person. That person was John Trump, uncle of our President.

Andrea my dear, that is not only factual, it is relatively common knowledge in educated circles. I mean real education, old school. Feel free to reach out to me next time, if I don´t know I know people who do know.

At least she asked the historian before spouting off. She could lose her lefty cred for that.

The guy Andrea Mitchell interviewed, Michael Beschloss, is the author of "Arming America", a book that purported to show there were almost no guns in the USA around the time of the Revolutionary War. His research was faked, he couldn´t produce any documentation, his book was thoroughly debunked, and his reputation was ruined. That Mitchell dug him up for an interview shows how desperate they are.

Yes Andrea, the Democrats hated President Lincoln almost as much as Trump. Even then violence was the major part of their agenda. The Democrats were able to assassinate President Lincoln, something they still try to do whenever they don´t win.

Lincoln won in 1860 with 39.6% of the popular vote.
He was treated badly by many newspapers, who made fun of him as being an ugly ape, a backward hick, uneducated, uncultured. And he was badly panned for his Gettysburg address, after following a noted orator who spoke for about two hours.
If Andrea didn´t know that, she is losing it.

Yes, "insufferable-know-it-all" dems, the Gettysburg address and Lincoln were much maligned. Many disliked Abe, many thought it way, way too short. Others wanted grand soaring words rather than a short, somber statement.

She still hasn´t recovered after getting pelted with balloons on the floor of the GOP convention in 2008. Google it. Hilarious. It was the first sign that Americans were starting to comprehend the real role media had played in the Clinton Era.

Beside the Gettysburg Address, we were taught many of the less than flattering press reports and how Abe handled them - sometimes humorously. One such intended put down meant to embarrass Lincoln was when a reporter asked him what his grandfather did for a living, full knowing his deeply humble roots. Lincoln cut him short with "I´m much more concerned about what his grandson is doing." Or something to that effect.

Lincoln also is the one US President no comedian has ever told a funny joke about.

In the normal course of events, one could understand the hundreds of “I don’t knows” and “I don’t recalls” former FBI Director James Comey during Friday’s testimony. Most FBI investigations are handled out of the field office in which the illegality allegedly occurred with the FBI Director not privy to all the details. But it was Comey who decided to run the whole Trump collusion and obstruction investigation out of FBI headquarters. He should have known (snip) Comey on Friday asked us all to believe that the man who remembered enough to write a book suddenly had total memory loss

Once again, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is demonstrating her shaky understanding of the job she was elected to do in what she called one of the “three chambers of government.” Yesterday, she was obviously ticked off when Donald Trump, Jr sent out a meme (snip) [tweet] I have noticed that Junior here has a habit of posting nonsense about me whenever the Mueller investigation heats up. Newly minted Dem congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez once more validated Mark Twain’s (Puddin’head Wilson) quip, “Suppose you were an idiot, and suppose you were a member of Congress; but I repeat myself.” Numerous reports have accompanied O-C’s tweet whereby she will pay her interns $15 an hour. After weeks of talking with Special Counsel Robert Mueller about Donald Trump´s supposed collusion with Russia, Dr. Jerome Corsi instead filed his own criminal complaint through attorney and former federal prosecutor Larry Klayman on December 3, 2018. We should remember that Klayman already got the prosecution of Cliven Bundy´s family and associates thrown out for similar prosecutorial misconduct, working in support of the Bundys´ excellent Nevada lawyers as legal strategist. Misconduct by the once-great Department of Justice is all too common. The unethical prosecution of former Alaska Senator Ted Stevens stole a U.S. Senate election from the Republicans in 2008

The nation’s farewell to its forty-first president continues with yet another day of ceremonial spectacle, following the state funeral and a national day of mourning that saw the stock exchanges and Postal Service shutting down. The entire process has been incredibly well thought-through featuring impressive visual production values reinforcing the message that we are saying farewell to a giant among presidents. Bush’s mortal remains to his final resting place at his presidential library at Texas A&M University in College Station.

Bush funeral: Reconciliation and civility

In contrast to the politeness of everyone else, Hillary Clinton refused to acknowledge the arrival and greeting of President and Mrs. Trump as they joined the other presidents sitting in the front row of the George H.W. Bush funeral at the National Cathedral. President Trump leaned over his wife to shake hands with President and Mrs. Obama, who graciously reciprocated. Bill Clinton, sitting on the other side of Michelle Obama, did not reach out to shake hands, but at least looked in the direction of President Trump. But not Hillary Clinton.

So far, half of the events scheduled for the stadium tour of Bill and Hillary Clinton have been cancelled. (snip) The Sugarland gig last night was canceled, but has been face-savingly described as, “postponed… in order to attend funeral services for former President George H.W. Bush.” I call BS. This claim doesn’t withstand minimal scrutiny. The state funeral honoring the forty-first president is taking place today, and it takes less than 3 hours to fly from Houston to Washington, DC.

Legal trouble for President Trump is coming from all sides. There’s evidence Paul Manafort was still communicating with the White House this year. There’s evidence suggesting the Russian government was offering “synergy” with the Trump campaign. There’s further evidence Trump directed Michael Cohen to make the hush-money payments to pornographer Stormy Daniels. It’s still very unclear whether Trump broke any laws. It’s perfectly clear, however, that Trump got himself in this perfectly avoidable mess through bad behavior. That is the lowest unemployment rate the United States has seen since 1969, according to BLS. “November’s jobs report shows an economy straining beneath the weight of a callous GOP special interest agenda that

“Prosecutors’ Narrative Is Clear: Trump Defrauded Voters.” So declares the first part of the headline of a New York Times article by Peter Baker and Nicholas Fandos. The rest of the headline asks “But What Does It Mean?” Good question. It may mean that the prosecutors haven’t found a crime, but are still pi**ed off that Trump won the election. I find odd the notion that Trump defrauded voters. No candidate in my lifetime ever painted a clearer, more vivid picture of himself for voters. For better or for worse,
