ORLANDO, Fla. -- Frontier Airlines said a woman had to be escorted off a flight bound for Cleveland Tuesday night due to a squirrel. Frontier said a passenger boarded Flight 1612 in Orlando, saying the squirrel was an emotional support animal. The airline said the passenger noted in her reservation that she was bringing an emotional support animal, but it was not indicated the animal was a squirrel. Frontier said "rodents, including squirrels are not allowed" on its flights. The passenger was advised of the policy and asked to get off the plane. The airline said when she refused

The airlines largely brought this craziness onto themselves, and their customers. Between miniature horses, peacocks and heaven knows what, squirrels are no more/less ridiculous. Toss in a few "special needs" kids having a meltdown. TSA is the least of the reasons for not flying these days.

The only kind of support animal is one you can ride.
If you want to ride on a plane with animals, there are planes that transport livestock, and you can arrange accommodations on one of them.

A binkie and a teddy bear, and maybe a blanket, too, and she should be OK.

I´d suggest a quick double bourbon, too, but some of these dingbats go into low earth orbit on a drink and low cabin pressure.

Another article linked to this one said that the squirrel´s carrier went through the X-ray machine and that the squirrel was carried through the checkpoint by her owner. Apparently it is up to each airline to establish criteria for support and therapy animals.

My squirrels found this entire thing absurd - they said no self respecting squirrel would become a support animal.

#13 gave me the thought that the dems should have gone full boat and had "Prof." Ford appear at the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing with a "support animal".

I think a funny SNL skit would be to show an airplane cabin where every single passenger has a different "support" animal, and the chaos that ensues.

People have gone too far with this support animal business.

AUSTIN, Texas — Democratic Senate hopeful Beto O´Rourke told a national television audience Thursday night that he´d vote to impeach President Donald Trump and believes Texas can lead the way to a national embracing of relaxed immigration policies and gun control — unapologetically liberal positions that may be hard for some in his deep-red state to stomach. The day after a CNN public opinion poll ranked Elizabeth Warren fourth among possible Democratic 2020 hopefuls, the Massachusetts senator released the results of a DNA test along with a campaign-style ad defending her family’s story of Cherokee heritage. Warren’s decision to cave to President Donald Trump’s demands was an affront to many Native Americans, who have long stated that DNA tests cannot be used to claim Native heritage or relationship to a tribe. If Senator Elizabeth Warren thought that releasing her DNA test results showing Native American ancestry would neutralize a Republican line of attack, she was wrong. The test — part of her strategic preparations for a likely presidential campaign — did not placate President Trump, who has mocked Ms. Warren as “Pocahontas” and once promised $1 million to a charity of her choice if a DNA test substantiated her claims of Cherokee and Delaware heritage. And her announcement of the results angered many Native Americans, including the Cherokee Nation, the largest of the country’s three federally recognized
