Senate Democrats have to stay united if they want to stand a chance at blocking President Trump’s pick to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court. To do that, the majority of the Democratic caucus will hammer Trump’s nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, as an anti-worker, pro-corporate judge who would likely cast a deciding vote against Affordable Care Act protections for people with pre-existing conditions and fail to provide a check on executive power. Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., said all Democrats have to do is to show voters the “true” Kavanaugh, "an anti-consumer zealot” who will be a “swing vote on the

There are policy areas that people of goodwill can disagree on. And then there´s the "You´re going to hell for this" stuff. Democrats and their union allies stealing from caregivers is a blatant example of the latter. Unions, SEIU, in particular, are vital parts of Dem organizing and fundraising infrastructure. When Dems siphon off more money for unions, they´re really putting more money in the pockets of their political organizations. And the contributions go to them too. But forcibly unionizing or seizing money from caregivers to unions is a particularly indefensible act. And now President Trump is putting a stop

Senator Chuck Schumer was asked a very awkward question in front of the Supreme Court Tuesday. The Democratic minority leader held a press conference in front of the Supreme Court to decry Trump’s pick for the Supreme Court, Brett Kavanaugh. Kavanaugh has received scorn from liberals who claim he will overturn Roe v. Wade and repeal Obamacare. Before taking questions, Schumer attacked conservative outlets The Heritage Foundation and The Federalist Society for vetting the SCOTUS candidates and said Kavanaugh would be harmful to women’s health in America. The first question asked by a reporter was incredible:

And now a word from the Party of Tolerance at CNN. Or to paraphrase Michelle Obama, "When they nominate a Supreme Court justice, we start talking like bigots." There´s only ever been one Catholic president and Catholics are a declining portion of the US population, but they´re holding a strong majority on the US Supreme Court. Actually with rising Hispanic immigration, it´s a rising demographic in the long term. And currently it´s 1 out of 5 adults. Probably a higher rate among children. When President Donald Trump nominated Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court Tuesday night, Kavanaugh described his Catholic faith and the

England fans have started gathering in Moscow ahead of the game against Croatia — and some have even worn waistcoats in tribute to Gareth Southgate. The Three Lions will take part in the biggest match in a generation on Wednesday night as they play in a World Cup semi-final for the first time since the 1990 edition of the tournament. A victory would see them face France in the final on Sunday, with England reaching that stage for the first time since 1966. "When you attack a Black woman for speaking out about injustice, and when you call for ‘civility’ in the face of blatant racism, you invoke a long history of white supremacist power.” So reads a letter in defense of the call by Rep. Maxine Waters to harass Trump administration officials. “The concept of respect is culturally mediated; there is no single, objective standard,” it concludes. There are clear objective standards. They include not harassing the people you disagree with in their private lives. The only people who think that standard is “culturally mediated” are leftist thugs. The Washington Post headline blared, "Trump is bent on wrecking NATO. Prepare for catastrophe." The Post fears that President Trump´s diplomacy will benefit Vladimir Putin to the detriment of American and European interests. European Council president Donald Tusk sniped, "Dear America, appreciate your allies. After all, you don´t have that many." The NATO countries are, indeed, among America´s closest allies, but some of them appear more interested in oil, natural gas, and trade with Iran than in the Fulda Gap. Some of our "closest allies" have been working overtime to undermine America. If Mr. Trump is irritated with them, there

The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) is blistering at a proposed regulation that would prevent the union from siphoning fees from American workers’ Medicaid payments. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services announced a proposed rule Tuesday that would require Medicaid payments to go directly to healthcare workers, ending a 2014 Obama-era rule that let third parties, such as unions and insurance companies, skim off a share of the paycheck before the worker saw any of it. I thought we had seen it all from radical feminists — and what we´ve seen is way, way more than anyone other than a gynecologist needs to see. Six years ago, Code Pink zealots traipsed across the fruited plain in giant female reproductive organ costumes demanding "respect" for women´s bodies and women´s abortion rights. They called themselves "dancing vaginas." Last January, militant femmes converged on the National Mall donning pink pussy hats, twirling nipple umbrellas, chanting, "Build a uterine wall!" and waving defiant posters that boasted "I DON´T REGRET MY ABORTION." Last fall, actress Martha Plimpton (of "Goonies" fame long, long ago) bragged

In a major story that came and went, President Obama shut down a major drug operation run by Hezb´allah because he didn´t want to upset Iran´s mullahs and endanger his Iran Deal. Seems the Iran Deal was considerably more important to his "legacy" than any concern about drug-dealing, the opioid epidemic, or just the idea of putting terrorists who finance themselves through the global drug trade out of business. Politico did the story about how Obama shut down Project Cassandra, so it should have gotten attention, yet it didn´t. As Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination tees up another national debate about reproductive rights, is it too much to ask that abortion’s impact on the black population be part of the discussion? When the Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade in 1973, polling showed that blacks were less likely than whites to support abortion. Sixties-era civil rights activists like Fannie Lou Hamer and Whitney Young had denounced the procedure as a form of genocide. Jesse Jackson called abortion “murder” and once told a black newspaper in Chicago that “we used to look for death from the man in the blue

During a lecture at the Library of Conservatism in Germany, British philosopher Sir Roger Scruton described conservatism as a philosophy that recognizes and acknowledges that good things are easily destroyed but not easily created, such as law, peace, freedom, civility, the security of property and family life. He contends we depend on the cooperation of others for the aforementioned to exist because we have no means or ability to single handedly attain it. He states “the work of destruction is quick, easy and exhilarating.” “The work of creation is slow, laborious and dull.” For the African American, the journey from captivity
