He Has No Strategy

The man does not have a strategy. [Snip] For over a year, practically on a daily basis, the man who occupies the Oval Office was briefed about the growing threat of a terrorist group which is so brutal that even Al Qaeda has disavowed any connection to it. The man who laid claim to the highest office in the world was told, warned, informed, cautioned, alerted and briefed with precise details about the rise of IS (formerly ISIS or ISIL). The man who has a definite strategy for employing thousands of agents to spy on innocent American citizens doesn’t have a strategy vis-à-vis the butchers of ISIS.

A U.S. security team in Benghazi was held back from immediately responding to the attack on the American diplomatic mission on orders of the top CIA officer there, three of those involved told Fox News’ Bret Baier. Their account gives a dramatic new turn to what the Obama administration and its allies would like to dismiss as an “old story” – the September 11, 2012 Benghazi attacks that killed U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans. Speaking out publicly for the first time, the three were security operators at the secret CIA annex in Benghazi – in effect, the

Unfortunately such is the state of current affairs. A prominent Egyptian official is telling his constituency, and the world, the reason Egypt and U.S. relations are so poor is because President Obama and John Kerry demand the Severe Islamists be included in policy decisions. Egypt categorically rejects the considerations of radical Islamic extremism, and will not bow to pressure from the United States to be more accommodating toward the radicals within the Muslim Brotherhood. Fatah el-Sisi is going to be speaking to the U.N. General Assembly in New York on September 25th. I’m thinking that David Cameron and

Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz came under fire yesterday for comments she made about Republican Governor Scott Walker that evoked images of domestic violence. Well, today, Wasserman Schultz sent out a statement walking back her comments. Yesterday she said, “Scott Walker has given women the back of his hand. I know that is stark. I know that is direct. But that is reality… What Republican tea party extremists like Scott Walker are doing is they are grabbing us by the hair and pulling us back. It is not going to happen on our watch.” After condemnation by Republicans,

Steyer shifts focus to getting

DENVER— When he vowed to spend as much as $50 million of his own money, and raise the same from like-minded donors, billionaire Tom Steyer electrified the political world with his promise to make climate change an issue in this year´s midterm elections. Those elections are now two months away, and the former hedge fund manager is running out of time. On pace to raise far less than the widely touted $100 million, his group has a relatively minor presence on the airwaves. Steyer now says his biggest impact this year will be an old-fashioned, get-out-the-vote ground game. "Our strategy

Not everyone in the NYPD got the “drunkyard” memo. Members of the Brooklyn South Vice Squad raided two illegal nightclubs set up in junkyards this past weekend — then got told by the local precinct to let them stay open, The Post has learned. Cops burst into the open-air watering holes in East Flatbush around 3 a.m. Saturday, law enforcement sources said. When no one could produce a liquor license, the cops prepared to bust the bartenders and close the clubs, known as Tiki Village and Soca Village. But managers pleaded with the cops to call the 63rd Precinct

Federal complaint says N.C.

A federal complaint says North Carolina’s regulation of hog farms discriminates against minorities who, disproportionately, endure strong odors and contaminated water. Three groups filed a complaint Wednesday that asks the Environmental Protection Agency to investigate what they say are violations of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The filing comes nearly 20 years after 25 million gallons of waste burst from an Onslow County hog farm into the New River, focusing public attention on a fast-growing industry. Then and now, manure is washed out of the metal barns where hogs spend their brief lives into open pits called lagoons. Water from the lagoons

MEXICO CITY— New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie seems to have left his usual bravado at home, packing instead a more humble tone for his trade mission to Mexico. Again and again, Christie has said that a key part of his mission is to listen and learn all he can from those he meets, and he began Thursday with a breakfast with the Mexican Business Council, a group of CEOs of Mexico´s largest companies. The governor, who is weighing a run for president in 2016, said the group had spent time discussing business opportunities for Mexican companies in New Jersey as

It could have been that photograph of Hillary Rodham Clinton in the White House Situation Room watching, hand over mouth, as cameras showed the SEAL Team Six raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound. Or maybe it was the moment she blew up at senators questioning her handling of Benghazi. (“What difference at this point does it make?”) For some reason, Mrs. Clinton is embedded in several new fall dramas, most obviously “Madam Secretary,” a new CBS drama with Téa Leoni playing a take-charge secretary of state. There are also imprints of Mrs. Clinton on an NBC show, “State of Affairs,”

It is fitting that the first sitting U.S. president to visit golf-obsessed Wales would be the golf-obsessed Barack Obama, who is staying at the venue that held the 2010 Ryder Cup for the NATO Summit that began on Thursday. Obama and other NATO leaders will be staying at the Celtic Manor resort in Newport, Wales, which is home to three separate championship-caliber golf courses, including the newly remodeled “Twenty Ten” course, which hosted the 2010 Ryder Cup. The Wales venue is perfect for Obama, who “has supposedly said that he finds” NATO meetings to be “dull,” according to the Washington

Washington - National Republicans on Thursday moved to take control of the campaign of Senator Pat Roberts of Kansas by sending a longtime party strategist to the state to advise him, a day after his hopes for re-election and those of his party for taking control of the Senate were threatened by the attempted withdrawal of the Democrat in the race. Also on Thursday, the Kansas secretary of state, Kris Kobach, ruled that the Democratic nominee, Chad Taylor, could not withdraw his name from the ballot, a move likely to set off further legal challenges in the race. A hacker broke into part of the HealthCare.gov insurance enrollment website in July and uploaded malicious software, according to federal officials. Investigators found no evidence that consumers’ personal data was taken in the breach, federal officials said. The hacker appears only to have accessed a server used to test code for HealthCare.gov. The Department of Health and Human Services discovered the attack last week. An HHS official said the attack appears to mark the first successful intrusion into the website, where millions of Americans bought insurance starting last year under the Affordable Care Act.

It will specifically include Supersonic MiG-31 fighter-interceptors and Su-24MR reconnaissance planes, along with Spetsnaz special forces units role-playing as

Chicago - A U.S. appeals court in Chicago ruled Thursday that gay marriage bans in Wisconsin and Indiana violate the U.S. Constitution — thereby bumping the number of states where gay marriage will be legal from 19 to 21. The unanimous decision by the three-judge panel of the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals is yet another in a series of courtroom wins for gay-marriage advocates. Since last year, the vast majority of federal rulings have declared same-sex marriages bans unconstitutional. The Wisconsin and Indiana cases shifted to Chicago after attorneys general in the states appealed separate lower court rulings

The future of Obamacare subsidies in 36 states will be reconsidered in court—this time in a situation more favorable for the White House. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit announced Thursday that it will reconsider a three-judge panel´s July decision eliminating insurance subsidies for coverage bought on the federal exchange. The 2-1 ruling would make the subsidies illegal for more than half the country, rendering health coverage unaffordable for many and dealing a major blow to the foundation of the health care law if ultimately upheld. In March 2012, I ranked the 10 most likely Republican vice presidential picks for GOP nominee Mitt Romney. Bob McDonnell ranked second on that list. Today -- roughly two and a half years later -- the former Virginia governor was found guilty on 11 charges of public corruption tied to he and his wife´s relationship with a donor named Jonnie R. Williams Sr.. While it´s always dangerous to call anything in politics "the largest and most rapid collapse in modern memory", the fall from political grace for McDonnell is absolutely stunning -- and ensures his spot in the ignominious annals

She was 81. Her daughter, Melissa, confirmed her death. Ms. Rivers died at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was taken last Thursday after reportedly losing consciousness while undergoing a procedure on her vocal cords at a doctor’s office on the Upper East Side. Doctors at the hospital placed her in a medically induced coma.

RICHMOND — A federal jury Thursday found former Virginia governor Robert F. After three days of deliberations, the seven men and five women who heard weeks of gripping testimony about the McDonnells’ alleged misdeeds acquitted the couple of several charges pending against them--but nevertheless found that they lent the prestige of the governor’s office to
