Meet the Radical DOJ Unit
Investigating Ferguson Shooting

PJ Media has been covering the Criminal Section of the Civil Rights Division for years. This is the unit that will be investigating the shooting in Ferguson and deciding whether to charge the police officer with civil rights crimes. PJ Media had to sue Eric Holder to obtain the resumes of the lawyers he hired to populate this unit. No wonder. The “Every Single One” series at PJ Media revealed that all of Holder’s attorney hires were leftists, some even with a history of anti-police activities. Read the detailed biographies of the lawyers here. Why does it matter that the

The White House was aware of James Foley´s location before his death claims the murdered journalist´s former boss, who says he hired an international security firm to locate the kidnapped reporter. GlobalPost CEO, Philip Balboni, said today that his organization knew of Foley´s whereabouts in Syria and said it was safe to assume the US government knew of it too. The media executive also said Secretary of State John Kerry had been personally involved at some level of the search or negotiations for Foley´s return, but refused to go into details. In a press conference, Balboni revealed he had personally

Attorney General Eric Holder, the first African American to serve as the country’s top law-enforcement official, commented on his personal experiences with police, in remarks at St. Louis Community College. Mr. Holder traveled to Ferguson, Mo., on Wednesday in an attempt to assure residents that the Justice Department was thoroughly investigating the shooting of Michael Brown, which set off more than a week of protests and confrontations with police. Below are excerpts from Mr. Holder’s remarks, as provided by the Justice Department. “We have seen a great deal of progress over the years. But we also see problems and these problems stem

If there’s one thing that has epitomized the relationship between the White House and the Republican-controlled House over the past three and a half years, it has been the extent to which showdown politics has become a regular part of governing in Washington. Less than six months after the GOP took control of the lower chamber of Congress, Washington was gripped by a showdown over the budget and the extension of the debt ceiling that lasted right up until the last minute and resulted in a deal that nobody really liked, but which supposedly would never really be implemented because of the “super committee” that would solve all our

MRC president Brent Bozell sent us an article today and insisted "If you haven´t read this piece, I recommend you do so." It’s a letter James Foley, the freelance American journalist abducted in Syria and beheaded by ISIS, to his alma mater Marquette University back in 2011 when he was captured in Tripoli, Libya. He was released after 45 days due in part to a campaign by his Marquette friends. It´s a testament to how his faith and his prayers (like the Rosary) helped Foley get through that trying time: One night, 18 days into our captivity, some guards brought

Before the murder of American James Foley was captured on video and posted online recently, the journalist once suffered “brutal punishment” because his captors believed he was planning to escape, a former fellow hostage told ABC News. “James was a bit punished for a presumed attempt to escape, but it had no real chance,” French freelance reporter Nicolas Henin told ABC News, after saying he once attempted to escape himself but was caught after wandering in the Syrian countryside for a few hours. Henin said Foley was met with “brutal punishment” inspired both by his captor’s suspicions and, as Henin put it, “the American war

ISIS had recently threatened to kill U.S. journalist James Foley to avenge airstrikes the United States has conducted in Iraq, a senior U.S. official told ABC News. The White House had been aware of the threat prior to the release of a video Tuesday night that appears to show the beheading of Foley and warns that militants will carry out a similar act against U.S. journalist Steven Sotloff, who went missing in August, the official said. At least one news organization said it notified the White House about threats it received regarding Foley. Phillip Balboni, CEO and founder of the online

Biden also criticized ISIS for trying to “wipe out” Iraqi citizens including Muslims. “I’m

Like Democrats and many Republicans alike, I’ve defended the president regarding the vacations or golf excursions he has chosen to take during his tenure. Obvious statement here, but it’s a stressful, intense, non-stop job. Just look at the way every president ages so quickly upon entering the office. Downtime and reflection is a must, and as a not-so-great southpaw golfer myself (4-5 times per year), it can be a cathartic, relaxing experience to recharge the batteries (when hitting it straight, anyway). As for playing too often, Mr. Obama has played 190 rounds as president, which sounds like a lot until considering Dwight

How does a grand jury

What goes on inside a grand jury room is secret. The prosecutor presents the evidence. No judge is in the room. No defense lawyer. The accused is invited to testify, but his lawyer can´t be in the room. Grand juries are known for doing what a prosecutor wants. As the old saying goes, a grand jury would indict a ham sandwich if that´s what the prosecutor asked. Prosecutors feeling the heat in a controversial case, some say, can avoid making a decision and give it to a grand jury. The standing grand jury in St. Louis County meets every Wednesday during a

Tomorrow, Wednesday, a Grand Jury is scheduled in Ferguson Missouri. Based on what is currently known, and understanding the way the Brown family attorney’s roll, we can assemble a general construct of what’s possible over the next 48 hours. A grand jury is NOT in the best interests of Daryl Parks, Benjamin Crump and the Brown family, in their efforts toward financial justice.

Brooke Baldwin played an exasperated host to CNN commentator Marc Lamont Hill and radio host Larry Elder, whose discussion over Barack Obama’s actions on the Ferguson protests quickly, quickly fell apart into them yelling past each other for the entire segment. It started off as two men taking two very different positions on the root causes of Ferguson: Hill argued that the debate should be centered on institutionalized racism in law enforcement, while Elder countered that the problem lay within the black community and the lack of paternal figures. But when the conversation turned towards mental health in the African-American

The president is appalled. Indeed he said this afternoon that "the entire world is appalled by the brutal murder of Jim Foley by the terrorist group, ISIL." The act of violence that killed Jim Foley, the president continued, "shocks the conscience of the entire world." What happens in the age of Obama to a group that does something that appalls and shocks the conscience of the entire world? Nothing. President Obama said that "no just God would stand for what they did yesterday, and for what they do every single day." I am no theologian. I pray that the president is right. But I know that we cannot sit back and wait for a just God to bring evildoers to judgment here below.

In the words of Mic politics editor Stefan Becket: "The prevailing assumption was that Foley was being held by pro-Assad forces, or by the regime itself. How did he get from there to ISIS?" The FBI believes an “organized gang" abducted Foley, who was working for GlobalPost, shortly after he left an internet café on Nov. 22, 2012. In May 2013, GlobalPost President Philip Balboni
