A Canadian jihadist fighting for ISIS in Syria has uploaded photographs of U.S. military kit the brutal Islamist group has seized from fleeing government soldiers in Iraq. Posting on Twitter using the name Abu Turaab al-Kanadi, the militant shared images of everything from Humvee vehicles to M16 rifles and night vision goggles - much of which is marked as being for restricted use by the U.S. government. Al-Kanadi, who is often referred to as simply ´The Canadian´, is believed to be based in Raqqa - the Syrian city considered the capital of ISIS´ self-declared caliphate. Scroll down for video

According to a statement released by his wife Thursday, late comedian Robin Williams was in the early stages of Parkinson’s disease at the time of his suspected suicide earlier this week. Williams’ wife Susan Schneider said Williams was sober at the time, but that he had continued to tackle depression. She said he was not ready yet to publicly disclose his Parkinson’s diagnosis. Parkinson’s is a progressive nervous disorder that limits movement; while treatable, no cure is known. Schneider’s full statement is below:

Today is the press launch of the fifth season of ITV´s hit drama series Downton Abbey – even as I type, the actors and execs are doing a Q&A with journalists. But the first episode of this new season has just been screened to the press for the first time, and these are my thoughts. This was as strong a season opener as we’ve seen since that very first season four years ago. And this time, writer Julian Fellowes didn’t have the sinking of the Titanic to help him on his narrative way. Indeed Downton Abbey is finally – inasmuch

FERGUSON, Mo. - Another witness to the shooting of Michael Brown, Jr. spoke to News 4 Wednesday. Tiffany Mitchell, 27, said she did not see what led up to the shooting, but said she arrived right before the fatal shots were fired. “As I was coming around, I heard the tires squeaking on the truck, and as I get closer, I see them tussling through the window. The kid was pulling off and the cop was pulling in,” Mitchell said. Mitchell told News 4 she saw a door close on a police car. An officer was inside and Brown, Jr. was on

President Obama said Thursday that “now is the time for healing” after a series of clashes between protesters and police over the shooting of a black teenager in Ferguson, Mo., but he also called for an open and transparent investigation “to see that justice is done” in the case. Speaking from Martha’s Vineyard, Mass., where he is on vacation, Obama said that many Americans “have been deeply disturbed” by images of violence in the St. Louis suburb following the police shooting Saturday afternoon of Michael Brown, an unarmed 18-year-old African American who was headed to technical college this week. “When something like

HOUSTON, Texas -- Tens of thousands of Central Americans have entered the country illegally since October 2013; most of them will be likely considered "refugees" and ultimately be allowed to remain in the U.S. Consequently, many of the migrants will receive welfare from the federal government, funded by taxpayers. Health and Human Services (HHS) documents, obtained by Breitbart Texas, show that significant federal funds go towards encouraging refugees to enroll in long term welfare programs, and towards administering such benefits directly. HHS´ Office of Refugee and Resettlement (ORR) provides funding and grants to various organizations that help refugees collect welfare.

Reports that David Brock, founder of Media Matters for America, is now taking over Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) and incorporating it into his illiberal empire would have come as no surprise to Andrew Breitbart. Brock, whose Media Matters outfit has marginalized itself as it moved from correcting to censoring conservative media, no doubt has designs on framing the 2016 election for Hillary Clinton´s benefit. Andrew Breitbart would have noted something else--namely, confirmation of CREW´s partisan nature. Though it is described as a "leading watchdog group" by Politico´s Ken Vogel, in fact CREW has often operated as a

Carlos Slim, the Mexican billionaire who also owns a minority stake in The New York Times, is reportedly launching an effort to bring every illegal immigrant DREAMer into the workforce. As Bloomberg News noted, Slim is the world’s second-richest person--second only to Bill Gates--and he "has introduced a campaign to integrate about half a million" DREAMers into the U.S. workforce. According to Bloomberg, "About 1.1 million people in the U.S. are eligible for work authorization" under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, but "only about half have been approved." FERGUSON, Mo.— Police on Thursday defended the use of tear gas and smoke bombs to repel protesters after another night of chaos in a St. Louis suburb following the shooting of unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown. St. Louis County police spokesman Brian Schellman said officers on Wednesday night tossed tear gas to disperse a large crowd of protesters after some threw Molotov cocktails and rocks at officers. More than 10 people were arrested in Ferguson. "In talking to these guys, it is scary," Schellman said of officers on the front lines of the protest. "They hear gunshots going off, and they

JERUSALEM—White House and State Department officials who were leading U.S. efforts to rein in Israel´s military campaign in the Gaza Strip were caught off guard last month when they learned that the Israeli military had been quietly securing supplies of ammunition from the Pentagon without their approval. Since then the Obama administration has tightened its control on arms transfers to Israel. But Israeli and U.S. officials say that the adroit bureaucratic maneuvering made it plain how little influence the White House and State Department have with the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu —and that both sides know it. The fatal police shooting of a young black suspect in a Midwestern town last weekend has given the Left yet another opportunity to advance its destructive, racially polarizing agenda. After 18-year-old Michael Brown, a black man was killed by police in Ferguson, a mostly black community in St. Louis County, Mo., the city and region surrounding it have been under siege. Not content to wait for the wheels of the justice system to spin, some view this tragedy as a license to riot. Cries of “no justice, no peace” pierce the air as demonstrators hurl Molotov cocktails at law enforcement officials.

The media predictably falls for it. I’m not even going to link to the Jessica Remo piece at NJ.com which is the same “It’s all Islamophobia” spin that we’ve been hearing since September 11. A New Jersey man has raised a flag that is causing concern among his neighbors. The man recently hung what some neighbors called an ISIS flag outside his home in Garwood. When a picture was posted onto Twitter, neighbors on Winslow Place called the police. The flag, which is used by an Islamic extremist group responsible for violence in Iraq, has since been removed from display. Even so,

The remark drew gasps and upset comments from the four females on camera at the time, but he later doubled down, explaining that he hates “hypocrisy” and thinks

Americans of Middle Eastern and North African descent, sometimes abbreviated as “MENA,” have a problem: they are white. In today’s world, that is a bad thing, as Pew explains: [F]or the census, since the beginning of the last century, the MENA community has been lumped into the “white” category. This brings a whole new meaning to “white flight”!

Liberals like Chris Mooney of Mother Jones agree that today’s Republican party is “environmental[ly] retrograde,” but often acknowledge it wasn’t like that a few decades ago. For example, as Mooney noted in a Tuesday post, a GOP president, Richard Nixon, established the EPA. Mooney reports, however, that in the early 1990s the party as a whole grew distinctly more hostile towards environmentalism. He touches on several possible explanations, including a backlash against the newly elected vice president, Earth in the Balance author Al Gore, as well as a theory that after the Soviet Union collapsed, environmentalists succeeded Communists as major objects

A senior Israeli official confirmed to Israeli media that the US had suspended a shipment of Hellfire missiles to Israel amid worsening ties over fighting in Gaza. The decision to hold off on the transfer was most likely on grounds of increased diplomatic tension, the official said, corroborating a Wall Street Journal report earlier in the day that claimed the White House and State Department had been angered by a transfer of arms to Israel and had ordered greater oversight into future sales. The report claimed that US-Israeli tensions are at a record high, with US President Barack Obama and
