In the wake of the U.S. military launching air strikes to combat ISIS militants in northern Iraq, the entire panel on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace had some harsh words for President Obama’s foreign policy. While the entire panel that appeared on Sunday, August 10 agreed that Obama has mismanaged the threat ISIS poses to the Middle East, Ron Fournier of National Journal had the strongest rebuke of Obama when he charged that “he´s been the Commander in Chief or the underestimator in chief.” The segment began with Jackie Kucinich of the Washington Post expressing her dismay at the lack

Golf, and more golf. At approximately 1:10 pm, under blue skies and with barely a breeze wafting across the up-Island fields, President Obama’s motorcade left his vacation home and took a circuitous route to Farm Neck Golf Club in Oak Bluffs, arriving at 1:33 pm. According to pool reports filed by MVTimes reporter Steve Myrick, the President’s playing partners today are Cyrus Walker, the cousin of White House senior advisor Valerie Jarrett; sportscaster Ahmad Rashad, and friend Robert Wolf. This is the second consecutive day the president has played Farm Neck. Yesterday, he was joined by Mr. Walker, Mr. Rashad,

Patient Zero in the Ebola outbreak, researchers suspect, was a 2-year-old boy who died on Dec. 6, just a few days after falling ill in a village in Guéckédou, in southeastern Guinea. Bordering Sierra Leone and Liberia, Guéckédou is at the intersection of three nations, where the disease found an easy entry point to the region. A week later, it killed the boy’s mother, then his 3-year-old sister, then his grandmother. All had fever, vomiting and diarrhea, but no one knew what had sickened them. Two mourners at the grandmother’s funeral took the virus home to their village. A health

Lt. Goldin was an officer in the Givati Brigade, an elite Israeli infantry unit. He had become engaged weeks before going to Gaza. Major Benaya Sarel, 26, and 1st Sgt. WASHINGTON — President Obama’s military plan to halt ISIS advances with limited air strikes and relief drops to besieged minorities trapped in mountain camps came under fire from left and right Sunday – and even Hillary Clinton took a shot at his foreign policy. “Great nations need organizing principles, and ‘Don’t do stupid stuff’ is not an organizing principle,” said Clinton, who served as Obama’s first secretary of state. She made the comment to The Atlantic in response to a question about one of the administration’s blunt mantras to observe caution – an approach critics say has led to disengagement

A new 72-hour ceasefire in Gaza has been agreed between Israel and the Palestinians following mediation by Egypt, a Palestinian official said Sunday. Israel confirmed Sunday evening that the 72-hour truce will go into effect at midnight. According to Channel 2, the Israeli delegation will head to Cairo for talks Monday morning, if the fire from Gaza does indeed cease and the night is a quiet one. Hamas played a double game Sunday, with its negotiators reportedly agreeing to a ceasefire in Cairo, and its terrorists in Gaza launching missiles at Israel. Israel insists that it will not negotiate under fire,

The video above is Barack Obama in December of 2011 declaring the mission in Iraq accomplished -- in his words, a "success." According to the president, we were leaving behind an Iraq that was "stable and self-reliant." Except we weren´t, and Obama knew it and so did anyone else paying attention. Oh, the war in Iraq was won, but it wouldn’t stay won without an American presence. Regardless, the President bugged out of Iraq without an all-important status of forces agreement. In other words, like the stabilizing troops we still have in Japan, Germany, and South Korea -- we left

“I don’t think we’re going to solve this problem in weeks,” President Barack Obama told reporters following the start of renewed airstrikes on Iraqi insurgents. “I think this is going to take some time.” The president spent the majority of his address to the press noting that dramatic political reforms and a new government in Baghdad is the only permanent solution to the present crisis. In the absence of that political solution, however, American airpower must ensure that pro-Western elements in the Kurdish and Shiite areas of Iraq do not fall to the Sunni fundamentalist militia.“In the absence of an Iraqi

In an interview with The Atlantic´s Jeffrey Goldberg, Hillary Cliinton made some uncharacteristically harsh comments about President Obama´s foreign policy. President Obama has long-ridiculed the idea that the U.S., early in the Syrian civil war, could have shaped the forces fighting the Assad regime, thereby stopping al Qaeda-inspired groups—like the one rampaging across Syria and Iraq today—from seizing control of the rebellion. In an interview in February, the president told me that “when you have a professional army ... fighting against a farmer, a carpenter, an engineer who started out as protesters and suddenly now see themselves in the midst

The frequent Obama critic told radio show host and GOP megadonor John Catsimatidis that he traces "most" of the problems of Washington to the current administration. "They can´t blame George Bush anymore," Cheney quipped on AM 970 The Answer´s "The Cats Roundtable." "I think he´s been a failure as a president. That is the Mosul Dam, “a gargantuan, poorly-constructed dam in Iraq that, if breached, could launch a 65-foot-tall wall of water into one of the country’s largest cities and send flood waters all the way to Baghdad.” Baghdad is 220 miles away — akin to blowing up a dam in Boston and flooding New York City. And now ISIS controls it, according to Kurdish authorities: “Fuad Hussein, the chief of staff of the president of the Kurdistan region, confirmed on Friday that Islamic State militants had seized control of Iraq’s biggest dam in their latest offensive in the north of the country.” Back

When he was running for re-election in 2012, President Barack Obama repeatedly took credit for ending the war in Iraq and bringing all U.S. troops home from that country. At the White House on Saturday, however, when talking about his decision to use military force against the al-Qaida-related ISIS terrorist group in Iraq, Obama said removing all U.S. troops from Iraq was not “my decision.” “You know I say what I mean and I mean what I say,” Obama said in Hollywood, Florida on Nov. 4, 2012. “I said I´d end the war in Iraq. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton drew a foreign policy line between herself and President Obama in an interview this week, saying the President should have assisted Syrian rebels early in the bloody three-year conflict there, and issuing a dig at his administration’s minimalist doctrine. The Obama administration’s wariness about assisting rebels out of fear aid would fall into the hands of extremists was misguided and ineffectual, Clinton said in an interview with The Atlantic, and allowed for the rise of Islamic extremists who are now threatening to take over wide swathes of Iraq. “The failure to help build up

There simply are not mass influxes of Unaccompanied Alien Children. For almost two months we have been repeating that it’s all a fraud – the influx is families, or more specifically women with children. There is no border crisis about unaccompanied alien children – period. The absurd attacks on Israel for exercising its right of self-defense in the past few weeks have only been surpassed in foolhardy dangerousness by the world’s virtual silence about the genocide being practiced against Christians and other minority religions in the Islamic State formerly known as northwestern Iraq. No matter how you try to wrap your head around the hypocrisy of people calling out Israel for supposed war crimes while at the same time closing their eyes to the uncomfortable truth of the barbaric genocide being waged by Islamic fundamentalists, you cannot do so. Hypocrisy of this dimension is almost demonic.

Four or five bombs were dropped in the Esssakane region, west of the city of Timbuktu on Sunday morning, the BBC´s Alex Duval Smith in Mali reports. The UN has said al-Qaeda militants were active in the area. Last month Timbuktu airport came under rocket attack. France intervened in Mali in January last year to try to drive out al-Qaeda-linked groups, which had taken over the north of the country. Last month the French government said it was setting up a new military operation to stop the emergence of jihadist groups in the Sahel region of Africa.

The Guardian, one of Britain´s most influential daily newspapers, used its editorial on Friday to warn of the dangers of European anti-Semitism that has been fueled in recent weeks by the tumult in Israel and Gaza. Citing the numerous violent attacks against Jews, synagogues, and other institutions on the Continent in recent years, the newspaper condemned "the conflation of Jews and Israel" while denouncing those who would exploit their anger over Israeli policies toward the Palestinians by attacking Jews in the diaspora. "The controversy has gained extra heat because of the alarming increase in anti-Jewish racism," the Guardian wrote."

None in the crowd stepped forward, said a witness to the event in a northern Syrian city.
