Cooling the manufactured
impeachment panic

Manufacturing a crisis is what pundits and politicians do best, and the media mills are running three shifts daily now to manufacture panic over what the Democrats want the public to think is the impending impeachment of President Obama. This might frighten the horses and scare the women in flyover country, but it’s all fun and games in Washington, with the game recognized by Democrat and Republican for the scam it is. But the purveyors of the scam are determined to turn a profit with it. Sometimes scams succeed. This could be the opportunity to learn a little about impeachment. John A.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) hauled in $4.8 million in the past week as it warned of Republican efforts to impeach Preisdent Obama. DCCC chairman Steve Israel (D-N.Y.) tweeted out the news Friday morning, saying that more than 240,000 people had given to the committee in the past week. The $4.8 million in weekly fundraising is a new record for the committee. The weekly haul is also larger than some monthly fundraising totals for the DCCC in recent years. The Democratic campaign arm for House Republicans has led the National Republican Congressional Committee in fundraising this election cycle. The

Are tax dollars being channeled through the Environmental Protection Agency to Democratic activists working in the nonprofit sector? A comprehensive new report released Wednesday by the Republican staff of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee makes clear that the answer to that question is yes. The report is entitled "The chain of environmental command." Major mainstream media which generally parrot the perspectives and analyses of the environmental movement have utterly ignored the report. This isn´t news? One would think that millions of tax dollars being directed by government officials with significant conflicts of interest would be significant news at

A 19-year-old who was part of a group suspected of fatally beating a USC graduate student with a baseball bat told authorities that he has been in the U.S. illegally for seven years. The suspect, Jonathan Del Carmen, told authorities of his illegal status in an interview at the Los Angeles County jail, according to a federal source reached by The Daily Caller with knowledge of the interview who was not authorized to speak to the press about the investigation. The Los Angeles Times issued a similar report confirming Del Carmen’s immigration status. Police believe that Del Carmen, and three

Javier Bardem, like wife Penelope Cruz, is having second thoughts about calling the Israeli actions against Hamas genocide. The power couple signed a statement earlier this week that decried Israel´s military actions against Hamas, equating the efforts to genocide. Cruz released a statement yesterday attempting to do some damage control. Now, it´s Bardem´s turn, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Bardem, through his representative, released a four-paragraph statement on Thursday. "While I was critical of the Israeli military response, I have great respect for the people of Israel and deep compassion for their losses," the actor wrote. "I am now being

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told US Secretary of State John Kerry Friday afternoon that Israel would take “all necessary measures” against those calling for its destruction and using terror against its citizens. Netanyahu´s conversation with Kerry came just hours after two IDF soldiers were killed, and one feared abducted, during an attack that took place an hour after the US and UN brokered cease-fire went into effect. Netanyahu said that the terrorist organizations in Gaza would bear responsibility for the consequences of their actions. Netanyahu called the attack a flagrant violation of the US and UN-brokered cease-fire

The brigade was formed "shortly after [ISIS] retook control of Raqqa earlier this year." According to Syria Deeply, ISIS official Abu Ahmad said, "We have established the brigade to raise awareness of our religion among women, and to punish women who do not abide by the law." On Thursday evening, Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) had a chance to stand with American workers and against amnesty by voting with Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) to kill the Senate´s border funding bill, which would not prevent President Barack Obama from unilaterally granting temporary amnesty and work permits to millions of illegal immigrants. While Alexander has been claiming to be against amnesty, he was nowhere to be found on the Senate floor just a week before his August 7th primary against Joe Carr for a decisive vote against a bill that threatened America´s sovereignty. KARNES CITY, Texas— Federal immigration officials on Thursday sought to show the softer side of immigrant detention, complete with cartoon wall murals, stuffed animals, playgrounds, snacks and a hair salon at a South Texas facility that will house women and their children who crossed the border illegally. With a surge in illegal immigration in recent months, especially children traveling alone and parents bringing in children from Central America, authorities moved to convert an all-male detention facility about 50 miles Southeast of San Antonio into one that could temporarily house families. Because of the hostility toward (and ignorance about) business that permeates the Obama administration and the Far Left, they are overlooking an element that could have the effect of accelerating unemployment among low-skilled workers to exponential levels. That “joker in the deck” is automation. In their rush to increase the minimum wage and offer amnesty (or something like it) to an ever-increasing number of illegal immigrants, the administration and the Left are ignoring a reality that will compound the problems inherent in both goals. The recent increase in the federal minimum wage (and presumably the wage that federal contractors will be required

More than three years after its passage sparked massive protests that jammed the Capitol Square, the state Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of a divisive state law that sharply curtailed the collective bargaining rights of most public workers. In upholding Gov. Scott Walker’s signature piece of legislation, the court handed the governor a major victory three months before he seeks re-election. The decision also cast doubt on the validity of several union contracts negotiated after a lower court found the law unconstitutional. In its 5-2 decision, the court said public workers in Wisconsin do not have a constitutional right to

Bill O’Reilly obviously doesn’t care for how President Obama and the Democrats are running things, but tonight he also had some tough words for the GOP. He asked guest Kate Obenshain why the Republicans continue to remain in the muck with the left and try to “destroy one another” instead of getting things done. O’Reilly asked, “Shouldn’t they rise above it?” Obenshain argued that it’s Democrats doing all the nasty politicking and name-calling, as well as the ginning up of impeachment. O’Reilly, however, noted some conservatives are bringing it up and said there’s “plenty of hate on both sides.” Obenshain objected, “No,

All that was missing was the campaign. Three days after new Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro was sworn in, President Barack Obama paid a rare visit Thursday to the agency´s colossal concrete headquarters to welcome Castro aboard. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stopped short of declaring the cease-fire dead, but accused Hamas of “flagrantly violating” what was to have been a three-day truce. Hamas in turn insisted it was Israel that had broken the cease-fire terms agreed to only hours earlier.(Snip) Israel announces that Hamas has thus ended the humanitarian cease-fire and prevented the residents of Gaza

Memphis, TN - An Oklahoma college student was drugged, robbed, and beaten during a weekend trip to Memphis. It started with a "Mickey" on Beale Street and ended with the victim in jail. At times he says he felt like a zombie. WMC Action News 5 is keeping this 18-year-old´s identity concealed, for the purpose of this story his name is "Sam." Sam was in a hospital bed hours after a nightmarish chain of events last weekend that left his head bruised and bloodied, his feet bandaged. It all started innocently enough with a pink drink on Beale Street.

So today House Republicans may take one more stab at trying to pass a bill to address the border crisis. But their bill has been jacked so far to the right that Dems won’t support it, and at any rate, last night Republicans blocked the Senate Dem border proposal. So Congress won’t address the crisis until September at the earliest. The question now is how far this goes in clearing space for Obama to act alone on immigration — not just on the border crisis, but on easing deportations. And the president is letting Republicans know that they should be

Halfway through Sharknado 2: The Second One, I glimpsed a tiger shark—indigenous to tropical waters quite unlike those encroaching upon New York City—attacking pedestrians in Manhattan. This bit of artistic license almost completely ruined it for me. Had the filmmakers done their homework they would have discovered that tiger sharks rarely navigate the Atlantic north of the 30th parallel—let alone north of the 40th parallel. Such inattention to detail unfortunately sullies science fiction’s reputation as more fiction than science. The Poseidon Adventure and Towering Inferno mated. Their baby, Sharknado 2, was born Wednesday night on SyFy. It was worse than the
