Democrat Senators Kay Hagan of North Carolina and Mark Pryor of Arkansas have both now warned Obama to not "take any steps without the approval of Congress" when it comes to dealing with the current illegal immigration crisis. “I’m not for government by executive order. He needs to have statutory authority before he acts,” said Pryor. Meanwhile, via Politico, a spokeswoman for Hagan said, “this is a problem that needs to be solved legislatively and not through executive action.” Additionally, Democrat Senators Landrieu of Louisiana and Begich of Alaska are also urging Obama to act with restraint. “We want him

DOJ Sued for Records of Obama´s Effort

With little more than two years left in the Obama administration, President Obama seems to have given up on any pretense of abiding by his oath of his office as he seeks to accomplish his leftist goals. Perhaps the most obvious example is illegal alien amnesty. At first, the administration tried negotiating with Congress. When that failed, Obama simply nullified the law and implemented “deferred action” (amnesty) for young illegal aliens and virtually anyone else who had made it across the border and hadn’t gotten caught for doing something else terribly criminal. Congress, including a complicit Republican leadership, watched, complained

In Kansas City today, President Obama complained that Republicans continued to oppose his agenda in Congress. “C’mon and help out a bit,” he said, addressing the GOP. “Stop bein’ mad all the time. Stop just hatin’ all the time. C’mon, let’s get some work done together.” Obama said that he still had a lot of work to do, including spending on roads and bridges, resources for fighting wildfires, and addressing the border crisis. “I know they’re not that happy that I’m president, but that’s ok,” he added. “I’ve only got a couple years left, let’s get some work done. Then you can get

Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura joined the “CBS This Morning” co-hosts Wednesday to discuss the details of his legal battle with a former U.S. sniper. On Tuesday a federal jury awarded Jesse Ventura $1.8 million in his case against Kyle’s widow. The former governor told CBS: “I’m already damaged. I can’t go to a SEAL reunion anymore. That was the one place I felt safe. I can’t go there anymore. I’ll be looking over my shoulder now wondering who’s going to come after me next. And, so don’t think I come out of this unscathed. All I wanted to do was clear my name and it has nothing to do with a widow or anything like that.

The catechism of an "indispensable partnership" with India that U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry repeated during the course of a rambling 5000-word speech on Tuesday cannot cover up the loss of faith that has crept into the relationship between the two countries. Kerry was speaking at the Center for American Progress in Washington, D.C. hours before his departure for New Delhi as the head of the U.S. delegation in its fifth annual Strategic Dialogue with India. Even without the added obstacle of having to reach out to an Indian leader that it had visibly snubbed for nearly a decade,

At 240 pages, Major League Baseball´s rule book is dense, and it is only growing denser. Last winter alone, the league added three new rules and amended six others—and that doesn´t even count the two rules it has amended since this season began. But for all its love of new legislation, MLB has shown little inclination to delete rules that have long ceased being relevant. As a result, the rule book has become baseball´s version of the tax code, dotted with obscurities and oddities whose existence are unknown even to many players and managers. On the off chance that "Official

Newly released emails by Lois Lerner, the former IRS official at the center of the tea party targeting scandal, show “deep animus towards conservatives, which she refers to as ‘—holes,’” according to a House committee. The emails were among a batch of new evidence the House Ways and Means Committee turned over Wednesday to the Department of Justice (DOJ) in support of an investigation of criminal wrongdoing at the IRS. “Despite the serious investigation and evidence this Committee has undertaken into the IRS’s targeting of individuals for their beliefs, there is no indication that DOJ is taking this matter seriously,” Rep. MOSCOW — Russia, facing the toughest round of Western sanctions imposed since the Ukraine crisis erupted, has adopted a nonchalant public stance, with President Vladimir V. Putin emphasizing the importance of self-reliance and a new poll released Tuesday indicating a “What, me worry?” attitude among the bulk of the population. But beneath that calm facade, there is growing alarm in Russia that the festering turmoil in Ukraine and the new round of far more punitive sanctions — announced Tuesday by both European nations and the United States — will have an impact on Russia’s relations with the West for years to

Karl Rove, former adviser to president George W. Bush, unleashed on Republicans and conservatives Tuesday who he says “helped” Democrats and the White House by calling for the impeachment of President Barack Obama. Referring to Obama as the “cynic in chief,” Rove said on Fox News’s On the Record that Obama is “suggesting a constitutional crisis” in an effort to “fatten the accounts of Democratic fundraising groups.” White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer said last week that Congressional Republicans may take the path to impeach Obama. House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) has denied that he would seek impeachment. GOP House Majority Leader

Islamic terrorists gain supporters in India. Youngisthan reported: While UN is mulling over including the fighters from the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) to a list of war crimes suspects in Syria, security forces fighting militancy in India have a new worry at hand. The flags and banners of ISIS and Al Qaeda have made their debut in the terror plagued Kashmir. Yesterday, after offering Eid prayers at Eidgah, people started shouting anti-Israel and Pro-Palestine slogans to protest the Israeli aggression on Gaza. The call for 30 minute post-namaz protests was given by Hurriyat chief Syed Ali Shah Geelani. Reportedly, masked men

An insignificant number of Democrats will side with Republicans in favor of the GOP´s proposal addressing the southern border crisis, House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) predicted Wednesday. Democratic leaders are already whipping against the $659 million package, largely because of a provision making it easier for authorities to deport the thousands of Central American migrants who have crossed the border in recent months. That change has been endorsed by at least three House Democrats — Reps. Henry Cuellar (Texas), Ron Barber (Ariz.) and Collin Peterson (Minn.) — but Hoyer is anticipating that few others in his caucus will back

In July, Wendy Davis went on a seven-city campaign tour to call attention to Greg Abbott’s “decision to keep explosive chemical locations secret from parents.” In case you weren’t following along, Abbott decided in May to block public access to information about hazardous chemicals stored at certain facilities, including fertilizer plants like the one that exploded in West last year. Quizzed by reporters later, Abbott said citizens need only “drive around” their neighborhoods and ask companies for the information. It was a hilarious and stupid thing to say. TEL AVIV, Israel — The savage fighting between Israel and Hamas is escalating in Gaza, cease-fire efforts take on elements of farce, and bravado rules the public discourse. But even through the fog of war, a few endgame scenarios can nonetheless be glimpsed. For the moment, the deadlock is well-entrenched: As long as the crippling blockade of Gaza remains in place, Hamas says it will continue firing rockets at Israel — terrifying but mostly ineffectual, thanks to the "Iron Dome" defense system. Environmental organizations are often portrayed as homegrown groups fighting back against the tide of corporate boogeymen like Big Business or Big Oil. But this is not the case, according to a new congressional report. A report by Republicans on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee says environmentalists are being backed by “an elite group of left-wing millionaires and billionaires.” This “Billionaire’s Club” funnels money to environmental groups who then lobby on behalf of the Environmental Protection Agency to help promote its agenda, in return, getting access to generous tax write-offs and federal funding. “This report proves that the Obama EPA has been
