Geraldo Unloads on Matt Drudge

Fox News’s Geraldo Rivera sniped at conservative blogger Matt Drudge over his website The Drudge Report’s emphasis on news regarding the U.S.-Mexico border. “Shame on Drudge,” Geraldo tweeted Wednesday. “His authoritative website has gone hysterical on issue of immigrant children. 14 stories like ‘Could Ebola sneak across?’” Drudge has admittedly placed an emphasis on linking to stories concerning the border. “I’m more obsessed with what’s going on with the border these days,” he said in a recent interview. The “Could Ebola sneak across” link Rivera specifically referred to in his tweet directs Drudge readers to an article at the right-wing World Net Daily.

Joseph Miller is the pen name for a ranking Department of Defense official with a background in U.S. special operations and combat experience in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has worked in strategic planning. On Saturday, an embarrassed United States witnessed the full realization of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s failure in Libya. Remembering her husband’s failure to halt a 1990s Rwandan genocide — and informed by her coming presidential aspirations — Clinton advised President Barack Obama to enter the United States into an untenable situation. He listened; she left; and he failed. On Saturday, July 26, the Department of Defense facilitated

Terror group behind the PA accuses John Kerry of plot to ´get rid of the PLO,´ back Muslim Brotherhood through Hamas. Senior Palestinian Authority officials have accused US Secretary of State John Kerry of favoring Hamas, according to a report by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), insisting that Kerry had presented his own proposal to cater to Hamas-backed Qatar and Turkey. Speaking anonymously, a senior Palestinian official told the London-based Saudi daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat last week that Kerry had tried "to destroy the Egyptian initiative and the Palestinian comments on it (the ´Abbas Plan) and present a substitute

A newly discovered email exchange from Lois Lerner´s official IRS email account "directly demonstrates Ms. Lerner´s deep animus towards conservatives, which she refers to as ´---holes,´" House Ways and Means Committee Chair Dave Camp wrote in a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder on Wednesday. In that Nov. 9, 2012 email, Lerner further suggests that conservatives will ruin the country: "So we don´t need to worry about alien teRrorists (sic). It´s our own crazies that will take us down," she wrote.

Environmental organizations are often portrayed as homegrown groups fighting back against the tide of corporate boogeymen like Big Business or Big Oil. But this is not the case, according to a new congressional report. A report by Republicans on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee says environmentalists are being backed by “an elite group of left-wing millionaires and billionaires.” This “Billionaire’s Club” funnels money to environmental groups who then lobby on behalf of the Environmental Protection Agency to help promote its agenda, in return, getting access to generous tax write-offs and federal funding. “This report proves that the Obama EPA has been

The Daily Beast‘s national security reporter Josh Rogin said Tuesday that Israel’s overwhelming rejection of Secretary of State John Kerry’s ceasefire proposal was the “nail in the coffin” in his crumbling relationship with the Israeli government.Kerry angered Israelis even before this latest crisis by first telling a closed-door meeting of world leaders in April that Israel could potentially turn into an “apartheid” state if a two-state solution wasn’t reached, a story Rogin broke. Just last week, Kerry was caught on a hot mic mocking Israel’s claim to be conducting a “pinpoint operation” in Gaza. Now, as reported by Rogin and

GEORGETOWN, Del. - In a Monday school board meeting, the Indian River School District voiced concern over the 117 immigrant children who are now being housed in Delaware as they wait for their deportation hearings. Indian River has the largest hispanic population in Sussex County, and it´s board members said the newcomers could mean problems for the school district. School board member Donald Hattier is the one who recommended this discussion be put on the meeting´s agenda. He said there are still a lot of unknowns about the placement of these children, which he considers troubling. "We don´t know," he

There’s something about Justin Bieber that grates. Whether he’s abandoning his pet monkey at German customs, getting charged with DUI for racing on Miami beach or simply repeating, “Guess what? I don’t recall,” in the most annoying and brattish fashion possible to imagine during depositions, it is hard for any but the truest of Beliebers to have anything less than an allergic reaction to the baby-faced “Baby” singer. So imagine how much worse it must be if you suspected the not-so-cute Canadian of cuckolding you? I think we can

It has been nearly two months since the publication of my book, Faithless Execution: Building the Political Case for Obama’s Impeachment, helped intensify the national focus on presidential lawlessness — or, if you prefer, infected the nation with “impeachment fever.” The latter is the breathless diagnosis offered by Media Matters in what otherwise is a surprisingly accurate description of what I’ve written. No surprise, then, that I took note of the very interesting question posed by National Review editor Rich Lowry in the title of a recent Corner post: “Does Obama WANT to Get Impeached?” The context was the president’s

Ever since the weekend, I´ve been looking at the photo on the right. It´s a close-up of a picture that forms part of Richard K´s photographic scrapbook of the annual "al-Quds Day" rally in my home town of Toronto. "Al-Quds" is the Arab name for Jerusalem, and this event, if not quite as big as the LGBTQWERTY parade, enjoys a similar official imprimatur: the Government of Ontario gives permission for it to be held at Queen´s Park, home of the provincial parliament. At this year´s shindig, Gaza was the big grievance, and there was a lot of undisguised Jew-hatred in the

CANBERRA, Australia — An Australian airline apologized on Wednesday for a warning a flight attendant gave passengers who might have been flying high that there were drug-sniffer dogs awaiting them at Sydney airport. Many of the 210 passengers aboard the Jetstar flight from Gold Coast city on Sunday night had attended the Splendour in the Grass weekend music festival at Byron Bay and were returning home. “We have been told there are sniffer dogs and quarantine officers waiting in the domestic terminal,” Sydney’s The Daily Telegraph newspaper on Wednesday quoted the attendant as telling passengers via the Airbus A320’s public address

In the wake of Speaker of the House John Boehner’s impending lawsuit against President Obama, CBS This Morning did their best to minimize its merits and instead promote Democratic efforts to raise money off of impeachment. On Wednesday, July 30, co-anchor Gayle King introduced a report by Nancy Cordes by highlighting how “Democrats are using the lawsuit debate to raise campaign cash and now the White House says it´s worried about impeachment.” [See video below.] Cordes began her story by peddling Democratic talking points and explained how “Democrats argue if Republicans are willing to sue the president, who´s to say they

The idea that one of Hamas’ main command bunkers is located beneath Shifa Hospital in Gaza City is one of the worst-kept secrets of the Gaza war. So why aren’t reporters in Gaza ferreting it out? The precise location of a large underground bunker equipped with sophisticated communications equipment and housing some part of the leadership of a major terrorist organization beneath a major hospital would seem to qualify as a world-class scoop—the kind that might merit a Pulitzer, or at least a Polk. So why isn’t the fact that Hamas uses Shifa Hospital as a command post making headlines?

At first glance it’s strange that the idea of big data — often imagined simply as the use of software to explore and analyze unprecedented amounts of information — should be controversial at all. Haven’t we depended on it for years in our everyday lives? Haven’t credit card companies mined their vast records to prevent fraud by identifying suspicious purchase patterns? Don’t politicians of both parties analyze voting records down to the precinct level to identify opportunities for tipping elections? And don’t nearly all of us rely on Google and other search engines to exploit complex algorithms that identify the

In a blow to everyone’s collective belief in the goodness of humanity, Jesse Ventura won his lawsuit against the widow of Chris Kyle, the “American Sniper”- for a staggering $1.8 million. None other than Marcus Luttrell of “Lone Survivor” fame carefully commented on the matter, so as to not become the next victim of Ventura’s insidious litigiousness. From his Facebook Page: (Photographs) Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell stood up for Chris Kyle’s widow and publicly bodyslammed Ventura. According to documents obtained by Judicial Watch and released Wednesday in an ongoing Freedom of Information Act case, State Department officials charged with reviewing Bill Clinton´s proposed speeches did not object to a single one. (Snip) At the GWB, the death toll has risen so quickly that even local advocates for suicide prevention have been caught by surprise. “For years, the average was about six people per year” who jump from the bridge, said Dale Carnhi, director of the American

It is now all the fashionable rage in Washington, D.C., to proclaim solidarity with America´s working poor in front of the cameras -- while stabbing them in the back behind closed doors. Privileged Illinois Democratic Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky and others have taken to Twitter, posting photos of themselves eating tuna sandwiches and buying Ramen noodles to show how much they empathize with minimum-wage workers. On the other side of the aisle, GOP Rep. Paul Ryan has wrapped himself in a cloak of compassion, putting a cheesy Taylor Swift hand heart around conservatism by proposing government "life coaches" for those in poverty.

Al Qaeda has secretly collected at least $125 million in kidnapping ransoms from European governments looking to buy back hostages from Africa and the Middle East, a report claimed Tuesday. The hefty cash payments date back to 2008, including $66 million in the past year alone, according to the New York Times. Despite official denials, the money comes “almost exclusively” from European governments that funnel it through a network of intermediaries, often disguising it as “development aid,” sources told the Times.
