In a communiqué, the Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs regretted the events reported in Ukraine, and voiced its support to the relatives and friends of the 298 people killed in the Malaysia Airlines plane crashing in Ukraine. The ministry also called for an inquiry to identify the ones responsible for the jet crash. Furthermore, the Venezuelan authorities expressed their concerns over the "occurrence of similar events, which destabilize the region, and, indeed, are the result of chaos generated by interfering policies pushed forward by the United States and its NETO allies..."

The Israeli Defence Force yesterday issued a mocked-up picture of the Houses of Parliament with missiles raining down on the building, alongside the words: “What would you do?” It is a good question. Indeed, as the IDF continues its offensive in Gaza, causing huge suffering among the civilian population of the benighted Palestinian enclave, it is one that Israel’s critics need to answer--but can’t. [Snip] In similar circumstances, what would we do to protect our families and territory? We should also remember how this particular set of circumstances developed. The kidnapping and murder of three Israeli students last month was blamed

This follows a request by authorities in the Netherlands, where the Malaysia Airlines plane flew from before crashing in Ukraine. The experts, based at Farnborough, will download data from the flight recorders for "international analysis". Some 298 people, including 10 Britons, were killed in the crash. Mr Cameron tweeted: "We´ve agreed Dutch request for air accident investigators at Farnborough to retrieve data from MH17 black boxes for international analysis." The announcement comes after Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond joined other EU ministers

A Border Patrol report reveals that “unaccompanied minors” are only one-fourth of the current invasion from Central America across our Southwest border. The crossings by family units have increased almost five times faster. This contradicts White House and media efforts to elicit public sympathy by focusing public attention on children. Total other-than-Mexican (OTM) apprehensions were 202,951 in the Southwest Border Sector (with three-fourths of those in the Rio Grande Valley) from Oct.1 through June 30. Of those, 57,525 were “unaccompanied alien children.” The other 145,426 persons were among 55,420 “family units”

For all of those out there who are humming the precipitate Swan Song called ‘America is dead and finished’, stuff a sock in it. For the oh-so-many who are going down for the third time in the ‘Lake of Their Own Embitterment’: Your Crying Wolf screams for help are only heard by those who would have joined you sooner or later anyway. Life became a Cattle Script on January 20, 2009—the day when the driven-by-hatred Barack Hussein Obama thought he could corral 314 million Americans as so many cows, brand all who would bolt as ‘racists’ and herd them, one and all,

President Vladimir Putin’s meddling in Ukraine cost Russia dearly in financial markets. With the downing of Malaysian Airlines Flight 17, the toll is only getting worse. The price to protect Russian bonds against default, already the highest among the world’s four largest emerging markets, has surged since the July 17 tragedy in eastern Ukraine. The Micex Index resumed its decline, putting the losses since Putin began his push into Crimea in late February at 4.2 percent through yesterday and wiping out about $28 billion in market value, even as stock gauges from the U.S. to India jumped to all-time highs. The fugitive and alleged owner of the South Korean ferry that sank in April and killed hundreds of children aboard was as mysterious in death as he was in life. The billionaire tycoon Yoo Byung-un founded the Web site God.com, led a church many considered a cult, was once jailed for fraud, but only recently became internationally known as the focus of the largest manhunt in South Korean history. Now that search, which once included 9,000 cops and was renewed on Monday, seems to have come to a close. South Korean police announced Tuesday morning they had determined that a previously discovered body, found on June 12,

In a stunning security breach, the giant American flags at the top of both sides of the Brooklyn Bridge were replaced by white-painted flags overnight, cops said Tuesday. Emergency Services cops lowered the two rogue flags — which are the traditional symbol for “surrender” — and packed them up along with what appeared to be painting supplies. The discovery was made sometime this morning. Police are trying to figure out how someone was able to gain access to the bridge, which has patrol cars stationed on both sides and also has security cameras. Washington — A federal appeals court delivered a serious setback to President Barack Obama´s health care law Tuesday, potentially derailing billions of dollars in subsidies for many low- and middle-income people who bought policies. In a case before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, a group of small business owners argued that the law authorizes subsidies only for people who buy insurance through markets established by the states — not by the federal government. A divided court agreed, in a 2-1 decision that could mean premium increases for more than half the 8 million Americans who have

In a potentially crippling blow to Obamacare, a federal appeals court panel declared Tuesday that government subsidies worth billions of dollars that helped 4.7 million people buy insurance on HealthCare.gov are illegal. The 2-1 ruling said such subsidies can be granted only to people who bought insurance in an Obamacare exchange run by an individual state or the District of Columbia—not on the federally run exchange HealthCare.gov. "Section 36B plainly makes subsidies available in the Exchanges established by states," wrote Senior Circuit Judge Raymond Randolph in his majority opinion, where he was joined by Judge Thomas Griffith. The NAACP Legal Defense Fund has filed a class action lawsuit against the city of Detroit for water shutoffs that members claim are racially motivated. The Detroit Water and Sewerage Department stopped service to about 7,200 buildings with overdue bills in June, compared to 1,570 in the same month last year. The issue gained national attention last month after activists appealed to the United Nations for help. The shutoffs are “being done in a discriminatory fashion,” the NAACP’s Veronica Joice told a local CBS affiliate. “They should at least take a look at whether there’s a better way to do this that doesn’t affect the most vulnerable citizens

Washington - A powerful federal appeals court dealt a major blow to ObamaCare on Tuesday, ruling against the legality of some subsidies issued to people through the Affordable Care Act exchanges. A three-judge panel ruled 2-1 on Tuesday that the IRS went too far in reinterpreting the language in ObamaCare to extend subsidies to those who buy insurance through the federally run exchanges, known as HealthCare.gov. The case, Halbig v Sebelius, is one of the first major legal challenges that cuts to the heart of the Affordable Care Act by going after the legality of massive federal subsidies and those who benefit from them.

Decision just released in Halbig case. Here’s the punchline: Appellants are a group of individuals and employers residing in states that did not establish Exchanges. For reasons we explain more fully below, the IRS’s interpretation of section 36B makes them subject to certain penalties under the ACA that they would rather not face. Believing that the IRS’s interpretation is inconsistent with section 36B, appellants challenge the regulation under the Administrative Procedure Act (APA), alleging that it is not “in accordance with law.” 5 U.S.C. § 706(2)(A). ...Because we conclude that the ACA unambiguously restricts the section 36B

A federal appeals court has struck a major blow to Obamacare, ruling that premium subsidies are invalid in more than two dozen states. The Hill reports the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in Halbig v. Burwell that the IRS cannot distribute premium subsidies in the federal Affordable Care Act exchanges, which means consumers have to bear the full cost of insurance. The government is expected to appeal the 2-1 ruling to the full D.C. Circuit, but either way, the case appears to be headed to the Supreme Court.
