Border apprehensions reportedly decreased last week, but there aren’t any indications that the tide of Central Americans pouring across the border has ebbed. U.S. Rep. Filemon Vela said Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson told him in a briefing July 8 that there was a decline in apprehensions ahead of his trip to Guatemala, one of the nations where the bulk of the immigrants are coming from. (Snip) but say they have heard the recent relief is due to train accidents along the most popular path across Mexico.

Paris- Clashes erupted in Paris on Sunday as thousands of people protested against Israel and in support of residents in the Gaza Strip, where a six-day conflict has left 168 Palestinians dead. Several thousand demonstrators walked calmly through the streets of Paris behind a large banner that read "Total Support for the Struggle of the Palestinian People". But clashes erupted at the end of the march on Bastille Square, with people throwing projectiles onto a cordon of police who responded with tear gas. The unrest continued early Sunday evening as police announced six arrests had been made. A small group tired

A video, released by Gaza-based Watania news agency shows the Israel Defence Force using a controversial "knock on roof" technique. The method uses a loud but non-lethal bomb to warn civilians that they will soon be making a strike on that target--one which they believe is linked to supposed terrorist activity. Watania news agency claim the IDF contacted Samir Nofal, the owner of the house as well as his neighbours, before firing the missile warning 15 minutes later. Five minutes after that, the agency claims the building was struck by two missiles from an F16 aircraft, destroying a large part

Israel carried out the first ground operation of the Gaza conflict on Sunday when commandos attacked a site used for launching rockets. Leaflets were dropped warning thousands of people to leave their homes in a northern area of the Palestinian territory before the raid took place. [Snip] On day six of Operation Protective Edge, the Israeli air force destroyed police stations and the Hamas security headquarters, severely damaging the homes of civilians nearby. At least 165 Palestinians have been killed since the onset of the offensive last Tuesday. Hamas, meanwhile, has fired about 630 rockets at Israeli cities, injuring 10

President Obama is “absolutely” the most transparent president in history, White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Sunday after the White House received a letter from signed by a dozen top journalists’ groups complaining about the administration’s policies toward the media. “There are a number of steps that we´ve taken to give people greater insight into what´s happening at the White House,” Earnest said in an interview with CNN’s “Reliable Sources.” The letter, signed by the Society of Professional Journalists and the Poynter Institute, among others, accuses the White House of "politically driven suppression of news and information about federal agencies." First lady Michelle Obama grabbed the political reins during a speech to the League of United Latin American Citizens in New York City, telling the crowd of admirers not to worry — that her husband wouldn’t wait on Congress to take action on immigration reform. “So make no mistake about it — we have to keep on fighting as hard as we can on immigration,” Mrs. Obama said, to a cheering crowd, Breitbart reported. “And as my husband has said, he’s going to do whatever administrative action it takes to fix this broken system.” Mrs. Obama then vowed that Congress wouldn’t get

Elected officials in two states far from the U.S.-Mexico border have claimed that the Obama administration has resettled hundreds of unaccompanied illegal immigrant children without adequate notice and has refused to detail the exact locations where the children are being kept. Fox News has learned that 748 unaccompanied minors have been transferred from areas near the border to the Chicago area. Of the original group of 748 kids, 319 have been placed with family members or sponsors while they await an immigration hearing. The other 429 have been placed in facilities run by the Heartland Alliance, a nonprofit organization that receives

Republican governors signal shift on

Deep in the Bible Belt, new signs emerged this weekend of evolving views among Republican governors on gay marriage. While the Republican Party´s religious conservatives continue to fight against same-sex marriage, its governors appear to be backing off their opposition – in their rhetoric, at least. For some, the shift may be more a matter of tone than substance as the GOP tries to attract new voters ahead of the midterm elections. Nonetheless, it is a dramatic turn for a party that has long been defined by social conservative values. "I don´t think the Republican Party is fighting it," Wisconsin´s

Obama is the Antichrist, Republicans are heretics, and compromise is unholy. Politics can’t explain how the right acts. America has long been the incubator of many spiritual creeds going back to the Great Awakening and even earlier. Only one of them, Mormonism, has taken root and flourished as a true religion sprung from our own native ground. Today, however, we have a new faith growing from this nation’s soil: the Tea Party. (snip) Religion here doesn’t mean theology but a distinct belief system which, in totality, provides basic answers regarding how to live one’s life, how society should function, how

When Obama let out his first soul-chilling hint: “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America” on Oct. 30, 2008, few thought about what his actual modus operandi might be. The hint was issued by a rabble rouser who had arrived on the world stage with a carefully crafted rock star/messiah status; amid posters of ‘Hope & Change’ distributed to the four corners of the world; the defiant boast coming on on the eve of Halloween to boot. Little did many suspect back then that Obama was about to execute what he envisions as ‘the perfect

"Asked the ABC News reporter, "Is that threat," like the Boston Marathon bombing last year, "any less serious?" "These lone wolves. These homegrown violent extremists are people who keep me up at night, as well," said Holder. "Trying to monitor them, trying to anticipate what it is they are going to do. And the experience that we had in Boston is instructive. It only takes only one or two people to really do something horrific." The ABC

Jerome Corsi highlights the 5 areas of cooperation that will make the journey from Guatemala to the US safer: 1. Mexico established for the Central American migrants transiting through Mexico a new Mexican-government issued “Regional Visitor Card” that instructs the Mexican National Institute of Migration to recognize the holder as having been granted by the Mexican government the right to a “temporary stay” in Mexico. The Justice Department is set to urge the Supreme Court to uphold a lower-court ruling and block states from banning same-sex marriage, Attorney General Eric Holder said. The nation´s top law enforcement official´s remarks come just days after Utah officials announced they will ask the Supreme Court to overrule a lower court that concluded gay couples can legally marry in the state. Last month, a federal appeals court ruled that a state ban on gay marriage, approved by Utah voters in 2004, was unconstitutional, finding that states cannot keep two people from marrying simply because they are of the same sex.

This is the second in a two-piece article on impeachment of Barack Obama. America is navigating extraordinary travails attempting to adapt to Barack’s increasingly erratic and arbitrary decision-making. This is apparently motivated by his own misbegotten notion he’s a secular prophet who must force America to adapt into his socialistic fantasies. His trashing of the Constitution, ignoring Congress and claiming amnesia on the separation of powers has created a crisis which few on either side seem ready to address. The very bad news is America does not seem to have the courage, conviction or stones to stand up to our

Not like he has anything else to do, right? There’s nothing unusual about the president hitting the golf course – he’s done it at least a record-setting 177 times over his term. But it’s who he is playing golf with that’s interesting. As IJReview’s current Editor-at-Large Larry O’Connor reported for Breitbart in November 2013, Wilbon made the eyebrow-raising comment: “People can be upset with me if

The footage was uploaded to YouTube yesterday by the Gaza-based Watania news agency, and shows from extremely close quarters a small missile striking the roof of a house across the street. According to the caption, around 15 minutes later – though most of this time has been edited out of the final clip itself – two fully-armed missiles from an F16 jet strike one after the other, blasting the front of the house away and sending a cloud of debris and rubble into the air.
