An FBI Just As Tainted And
Untrustworthy As The IRS

The Law: The FBI says it won´t prosecute anyone at the IRS for its admitted targeting of the president´s political foes. This just as the agency claims the law is no longer its main mission. So it´s a political goon squad now. According to a leak to the Wall Street Journal, the Federal Bureau of Investigation "didn´t find the kind of political bias or ´enemy hunting´ that would amount to a violation of criminal law." And so, nobody was likely to be prosecuted for the most blatant politicization of a federal agency within memory. All the Bureau found was a "mismanaged" agency

Deceit: Newly declassified transcripts show top defense officials who briefed Obama on the day of the Benghazi attack described it as a terrorist attack and told the president so, yet he pushed a false narrative about a video. Just as the new book by former Defense Secretary Bob Gates confirmed what many believed, that President Obama was a politically motivated commander-in-chief who had no faith in an Afghan surge he put 30,000 Americans in harm´s way to execute, transcripts of congressional testimony by military leaders confirm that President Obama knew Benghazi was a terrorist attack before he went to bed to

Shirley Sherrod’s been busy. Too busy, in fact, to miss her brief tenure as a federal employee. “I just came back to my community and got involved again,” said Sherrod, who in 2010 was famously fired from her job with the USDA after being falsely accused of racism.(snip) “There are still people out there who think I’m a racist,” Sherrod told us in a recent interview. “Breitbart made it impossible for me to work for the federal government again.” It was the summer of 2010 when Andrew Breitbart, the late conservative blogger, published a doctored video of a little known Agriculture Department

National Security: "Moderate" Iran President Hassan Rouhani wasted no time crowing that the world had surrendered to Iran in the Geneva nuclear deal. No surprise, especially when talk becomes America´s preferred weapon. Maj. Gen. Ataollah Salehi, Iran army commander, observed on Tuesday that the peace deal between America and other major powers and Iran proves the U.S. and Israel can´t beat Iran militarily, because, if they could have, they "would have already taken action." "Given their weakness in the military dimension, they have opted for the political arena, and we will certainly succeed in this area too," he said. The general makes a

NEW YORK – Around 5,000 undocumented students graduate annually from New York public schools but many do not go to college because they haven’t the money to enroll, even though the state legislature passed a bill providing them with access to state financial aid. A group of “dreamers,” as they are known, called on Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Monday to include $17 million in funding for the New York Dream Act in the next budget. “Take the bandages off your eyes so you can see us, we want to move ahead,” the Mexican Irma Karina Cruz Velez, a senior at Staten Island

WITH a White House cheating scandal set to explode, President BARACK OBAMA and his wife MICHELLE are hiding a divorce shocker from America! Only weeks after Obama publicly humiliated the first lady by snapping a “selfie” with a dishy blonde foreign leader, the first couple’s shaky 21-year marriage has collapsed following a disastrous holiday trip, sources say. The two locked horns in a series of ugly fights during their recent Hawaiian getaway, but sources say the death blow came when Michelle learned that the Secret Service has covered up Obama’s cheating – twice. After a “mole” exposed the president’s betrayal, a furious Michelle

The Washington Post wants you to know First Lady Michelle Obama is “more than meets the eye.” To celebrate Mrs. Obama’s upcoming 50th birthday, the publication printed a glowing feature about her in its Express newspaper. The piece lists a few “Myths” about the First Lady, debunking each one with important “explanations.” Here’s just a couple: Myth: She is a food tyrant of Bloombergian intolerance. “Her focus on the nation’s eating habits has led to complaints that she wants to deprive Americans of dessert. Let´s all be very clear: The FBI did not conduct an “investigation” into the IRS scandal. Not unless there are new protocols for investigating potential unlawful activities, which discard the quaint notion of speaking to the victims. In May, President Obama hurriedly called a White House news conference to stem the outrage about the IRS´s admitted targeting of conservative groups, and emphatically told the nation: “I will not tolerate this kind of behavior in any agency but especially in the IRS, given the power that it has and the reach that it has into all of our lives." Speaking with TVNewser, Housley excoriated those who wish to cut down their relationship. “The fact that in this day and age, we get attacked for our interracial relationship is beyond sad…it is pathetic,” he said. “Yes I am white. The chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee late Tuesday dropped legislation that would bar the IRS and Treasury from issuing harsh new rules that would block Tea Party and other conservative tax exempt groups from engaging in political activity, potentially violating their First Amendment rights. Rep. His committee has spent nearly eight months investigating the IRS targeting of conservative and Tea Party

Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., called on coastal Republicans to join a currently all-Democratic effort to "wake up Congress" on climate change. While the 18 members of the new Senate Climate Action Task Force, which aims to elevate the profile of climate change, announced Tuesday were all Democrats, few of the centrist lawmakers normally opposed to measures that restrict greenhouse gas regulations signed up. But Boxer argued it shouldn´t take full participation from Democrats to pass climate legislation. "You shouldn´t have to have 100 percent of the Democrats carrying this issue. It´s ridiculous," she told reporters after a news conference in the Capitol.

Thanks for watching that YouTube video! That will be 50 cents, please. Sound unrealistic? It´s actually a distinct possibility, after a Federal appeals court on Tuesday struck down an FCC ruling meant to prevent an Internet service provider -- the company you pay for online access -- from prioritizing some website traffic over others. And because that rule was wiped off the books, those ISPs are suddenly able to do just that. With service providers suddenly able to charge based on the type of content you watch or the sites you visit, it´s easy to imagine a system like that of today´s

One un- or under-remarked-upon takeaways from the Christie spectacle is the fact that he is the most exciting figure in American politics for the moment, at least in the eyes of the mainstream media. Indeed, as I joked on Twitter, you have to wonder if Obama doesn’t feel a pang of jealousy for Christie. When was the last time the media dropped everything to listen to an Obama speech with such interest? No one hangs on his every word any more. Obama’s State of the Union address will of course get ample coverage, but it will be more pro-forma than

The funding will continue despite claims in a document the House Appropriations Committee published that the bill contains a “prohibition” on such programs. The $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill introduced Monday evening leaves the vast majority of pension cuts to military retirees intact, only exempting disabled veterans from the controversial provision included in last month’s budget deal. The spending bill amends a section of the bipartisan budget agreement that hit the military with reduced retirement pay, while also leaving generous benefits for civilian federal retirees untouched. The new spending bill, negotiated by House Appropriations Committee Chairman Hal Rogers (R., Ky.) and Chairwoman of the Senate Appropriations Committee Barbara Mikulski (D., Md.), would only restore retirement benefits for 17.5 percent of military retirees.
