Paul Ryan on Tuesday unveiled the GOP’s budget proposal that would slash $4.6 trillion in projected government spending over the next decade in order to balance the country’s budget by 2023. “We owe the country a balanced budget,” the Republican congressman and 2012 vice presidential nominee said during a press conference at the Capitol on Tuesday. Ryan’s plan includes a combination of tax reform, reform of entitlements and repeal of President Obama’s health-care law.

With 190,000 votes cast as of Monday morning, Paul leads, with Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio rounding out the top three. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush are running in last place, ranked 32 and 31 respectively. A website is claiming to have hacked into first lady Michelle Obama’s accounts and posted her personal and financial information online. The website claims to have posted the first lady’s Social Security number, credit reports, former addresses and personal banking information, although the veracity of the information has not been confirmed, and some are speculating that the claims are a hoax. It lists three phone numbers for Michelle Obama. The first belongs to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where Obama used to work. The second was disconnected and the third had a generic answering machine.

The two are often paired against each other in media interviews, debating budget issues in a calm and respectful manner. So it is somewhat surprising, and disappointing, to see that Van Hollen attempt to pre-empt Ryan´s new budget, which balances within ten years, by accusing it of hurting "middle class, seniors, veterans, women, children, federal employees, low-income families, and those nearing retirement." An orderly protest over the death of an armed 16-year-old turned into a riot in Brooklyn tonight after young people started lashing out at NYPD officers. Between 60 and 100 rioters gathered around Church and Snyder Ave. in East Flatbush and threw bottles and other debris at police, witnesses said, following a vigil for Kimani Gray, 16, who was shot dead by two plainclothes officers over the weekend. One person has been arrested, though no injuries have been reported. They were lashing out at the NYPD, who they believe are responsible for the teen’s death.
