Beyond the Pale: Mike Malloy
Prays for Beheading of ´Teabaggers´

Left-wing radio host Mike Malloy keeps reaching for new lows in depraved discourse. Those familiar with Malloy from his numerous appearances at NewsBusters over the years are aware of his pathological obsession with violence, especially toward those who don´t share his totalitarian politics. (h/t for audio, Brian Maloney at mrctv.org). On his radio show yesterday, Malloy delighted in the specter of an avenging angel decapitating "teabaggers" --... these teabag b******, who by the way, I just wish they would all go away, or like in Passover, I just wish there was an angel of

Lottery machines are on overdrive spitting out Powerball tickets and the state Lottery is raking in thousands of dollars a minute as tonight’s jackpot in the multistate game has now climbed to $550 million — the largest jackpot in Powerball history. At 11 a.m. today, stores were selling 4,000 tickets per minute, said state Lottery spokeswoman Beth Bresnahan, and just a half-hour later, that rate had jumped to 7,400 tickets per minute. That isn’t the most tickets per minute the Lottery has seen — back on March 30 tickets were selling at 22,000 per minute for a $636 million

BOSTON — Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is moving into office space at his son’s Boston-area venture capital firm. It’s unclear what role, if any, the former businessman will play at Solamere Capital. Solamere was founded by his oldest son, Tagg Romney, and Spencer Zwick, the national finance committee chairman for Romney’s presidential bid. Former aides speaking on the condition of anonymity said Romney was subletting office space from Solamere. The aides were not authorized to publicly discuss the plans. Romney virtually disappeared from politics following loss in the Nov. 6 election.

Motivational speaker Zig Ziglar has died after a battle with pneumonia, according to his Facebook page. “Though his time on earth has ended, he is speaking with Jesus now in his heavenly home,” read a statement on the page. “The angels in heaven are rejoicing and his family is celebrating a life well lived.” Ziglar´s executive assistant Laurie Magers says Ziglar died Wednesday at a hospital in the Dallas suburb of Plano. Ziglar’s speaking career had lasted more than 50 years, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports, before he retired in 2010. He was known for corporate training and motivational speeches

AP Under Attack for Removing

First the Associated Press announced that it would continue using “Illegal Alien” instead of “Undocumented American”, “Accidental Border Crosser” or “Beautiful Dreamer” on the grounds that it was well… technically accurate. Now the AP is throwing out Homophobia and Islamophobia on the grounds that they are inaccurate and conflate prejudice with mental illness. And that has led to outrage hysteria from the usual organs of the left who like sticking to their politicized words once they’ve made enough people aware of them.

Feathers flying over stench

The saga now playing out in La Jolla Cove is the epitome of regulatory stupidity. In a rocky area by the cove once open to people but now fenced off for safety reasons, the feces of cormorants and seagulls just keeps piling up, generating a stench that can carry as far as a mile. Dry conditions, a hot summer and other factors have made this a gross everyday problem for the cove area, not an occasional annoyance. So why can’t city work crews simply take care of the problem? Why can’t biodegradable cleaning products be used to make the stench disappear,

In an unusual step, a U.S. congressman is proposing a two-year ban on all new federal legislation regulating the Internet. Rep. Darrell Issa, a Republican from California who has been an advocate for Internet freedoms, has posted online a draft of his legislation, the Internet American Moratorium Act of 2012. The bill would "create a two-year moratorium on any new laws, rules or regulations governing the Internet."

President Obama urged Americans on Wednesday to pressure Congress to extend an income tax freeze for the middle class, warning that failure to agree on such a measure could cost families more than $2,000 next year, harm job growth and “drag our economy down.” Speaking with 15 middle-class Americans standing behind him, Obama called on people to use a new Twitter hashtag, #my2k, and tell Congress what the loss of $2,000 would mean to them by tweeting, calling or e-mailing lawmakers or posting messages on their Facebook pages.

ANGOLA, La. — In the middle of the rodeo arena, the four men could smell manure from the animal pens and cracklins and caramel corn from the stands as they steadied themselves in their plastic lawn chairs, spread their hands on the red card table in front of them and planted their feet in the mud. They were bracing for the bull. Once it was turned loose, the last one sitting in this game called Convict Poker would win. They looked almost identical in their black helmets, protective vests and striped uniforms.

A Chicago Sun-Times columnist is saddened by the flame out of Representative Jesse Jackson, Jr., the Chicago Congressman that just resigned after a Congressional investigation into misuse of campaign funds. His story is that of a Greek hero, she claims. Columnist Laura Washington waxes poetic about Jackson, Jr.´s fall from grace, likening him to legendary Greek character Icarus, who flew too close to the sun and fell from the skies. But she doesn´t cut him much slack, really. Washington notes that Jackson, Jr. isn´t the first 2nd District Congressman who has been a disappointment to voters.

Yesterday, Jazz posted cringe-worthy video of Time’s Joe Klein slavishly repeating outdated lefty Benghazi-related talking points on Morning Joe. It was appalling. The thrust of Klein’s message was “there’s nothing to see here, folks.” More specifically, he claimed that (a) Susan Rice’s talking points “were accurate,” (b) the raid did arise from a “spontaneous protest,” and (c) it was not a premeditated attack by an Al Qaeda affiliate. Twenty-four hours later, his hackery is laid bare. Point by point:

Obama won, Obamacare is the law, and, as my wife says, I will just have to learn to dance to a new song. Now, don’t get me wrong, Obamacare is awful. Forget all the “free stuff” it provides. Children covered on their parents’ plan until 26 years of age? A scam, making young adults — excuse me, children — pay for complete, comprehensive health insurance when all they need and should pay for is major catastrophe insurance. Then there is the “annual ” or “preventative” exam, which according to Obamacare is “free.” (Snip)it covers absolutely nothing more than the bare minimum

While running for the Mexican presidency, former State of Mexico Gov. Today, the president-elect came to Washington and easily bonded with President Obama. Peña Nieto and his first-lady-in-waiting, telenovela star Angelica Rivera, got to mingle with some of the town’s power brokers in advance of his Saturday inauguration, which will be attended by Vice President Biden. “We only send the vice president to inaugurations when the country is

Seeking a larger role at the negotiating table, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has publicly expressed optimism on how she and other congressional leaders can strike a deal on taxes and spending. Pelosi, regarded as one of the most partisan Democrats in Congress, has adopted a more pragmatic tone since the election. After a meeting of congressional leaders at the White House, Pelosi stressed the need for a bipartisan agreement before Christmas, adding, “We understand our responsibility there. We understand that it has to be about cuts, it has to be about revenue,

Apparently it was supposed to be shocking, but at this point… why not? Why not paint slogans on your body and take all your clothes off in public? If that’s what you think you need to do in order for people to take you seriously, far be it from me to point out how wrong you are. Associated Press: Three women AIDS activists saying they wanted to highlight the “naked truth” about potential spending cuts in HIV programs were arrested Tuesday after taking their clothes off in the lobby of House Speaker John Boehner’s office.

On Friday, he will highlight the damage that will be done to the middle class if the country sails over the fiscal cliff on a visit to a manufacturing operation in Hatfield, Penn. The demonstration yesterday by AIDS activists in Speaker Boehner´s office where they removed their clothes to demonstrate against potential budget cuts to AIDs programs in the fiscal cliff scenario will go down as one of the weirest, most self-indulgent demonstrations in recent memory. First of all, their claim that 600,000 people afflicted with AIDS would die if the cuts went through is so over the top, so incredibley, hysterically exaggerated, that the entire purpose of their demonstration was made silly by it. Also silly - and incomprehensible - taking off their clothes.

It was almost a month ago that the New York and New Jersey coastlines were mercilessly pummeled by Hurricane Sandy. Immediately following the storm, the liberal media spin went into overdrive commending the leadership and compassion Obama displayed in the aftermath. But reports have been surfacing since the election, revealing how conditions in the afflicted regions are still not much improved and the majority of the broadcast media´s acknowledgement of their prolonged trials and tribulations has been minimal at best. For their part however, Fox & Friends welcomed Donna Vanzant on Tuesday morning´s program.

It would be tempting to attribute the disaster spreading across the Middle East to a brief flirtation with democracy snake oil, but for the better part of the last century the political class of the United States could talk of nothing else. Nearly every war was fought was to spread democracy, protect democracy or worship at the altar of democracy. For much of the 20th Century it was the working assumption of the sort of men who got up to give speeches in crowded halls that it was democracy that made America special.

One of the working papers for the recent Jewish People Policy international conference, entitled "Jewish Identity and Identification: New Patterns, Meanings, and Network´s," posed the question whether the Jewish community´s altered material and political circumstance "entail a long-term shift from identification with the have-nots to identification with the haves."
