Bob Schieffer, the moderator for the last of the three presidential debates in 2012, needs to be watched carefully; he has a clear partisan agenda that favors Barack Obama that was evident even in 2008. When he moderated the last presidential debate that year, he didn’t flinch from his Democratic Party mission. In 2008, Schieffer asked 9 questions. Look at how he slanted some of the questions and his interjections: 1. “We found out yesterday that this year's deficit will reach an astounding record high $455 billion. Some experts say it could go to $1 trillion next year.

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), a United Nations affiliate on democratization and human rights, will send out 44 “observers” to the United States on Election Day to monitor polling and political activities. In particular, these “election monitors” will be looking for voter suppression activities by conservative groups. Civil rights organizations have met with OSCE representatives to discuss concerns regarding their perception that there are systematic plans to suppress minority voters who are likely to vote for Barack Obama. AS HE was being held down and whipped repeatedly with a power cord by four men who said they were acting in accordance with Islamic law, a Sydney man was told ''you're going to remember this next time you take alcohol and drugs'', a court has heard. (snip) Police allege that in the early hours of July 17 last year, the four men came to Mr Martinez's Silverwater home after he asked one of them for help with his drug and alcohol problem. They allegedly told him he was ''going to be lashed 40 times in accordance with Islamic law''.

On Sunday the Tampa Tribune, one of Florida's most influential daily newspapers, endorsed Mitt Romney for President in 2012: Mitt Romney is the man who can lead the nation out of its lingering economic doldrums and restore faith in the United States. A successful executive in the public and private sector, Romney is a committed capitalist who understands that the nation's prosperity is driven by free enterprise, not government. Under President Barack Obama's liberal and inconsistent leadership, the country has limped along, barely a step ahead of another recession. The deficit soared, government expanded and the prospects

A California businessman chartered a fishing boat in July, loaded it with 100 tons of iron dust and cruised through Pacific waters off western Canada, spewing his cargo into the sea in an ecological experiment that has outraged scientists and government officials. The entrepreneur, whose foray came to light only this week, even duped the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in the United States into lending him ocean-monitoring buoys for the project. On ABC’s This Week, DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Fox News host Greta Van Susteren clashed over Mitt Romney‘s “binders full of women” remark that has garnered vast attention since the second debate. As Wasserman Schultz inserted the comment into her talking points, Van Susteren went after her, noting it’s “insulting.” “I think someone women may think time’s up,” Van Susteren said, noting that, right or wrong, they may feel Obama’s had his chance for four years. Wasserman Schultz pointed to Romney’s stance on the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which his campaign has not embraced.

There are those optimistic souls who believe the problems we face now we have faced in different costume before. (snip) We can only hope that freedom, competent leadership, a well equipped military, high employment, stable families, and unity in policy are high on everybody’s list of priorities. But we also take notice of what Benjamin Franklin said: “God rules in the affairs of men, and if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it possible that an empire can rise without his aid?” We need His aid.

I know one thing — you will cover it in a very big fashion.”

Another publicly subsidized green company is going under, this one -- called ReVolt Technology -- backed in Portland by city and state taxpayers. Losses on ReVolt are tiny compared to those at Solyndra Inc., the notorious California solar company that tanked after receiving a $535 million federal loan guarantee. Portland and the state of Oregon had committed $6.8 million to ReVolt, which also landed a $5 million federal grant.

Even before recent years when media bias became such a widely-accepted meme, the value of newspaper endorsements was questionable. Seriously, when's the last time you followed the instructions of an editorial page on anything above a proposition or judges' race? Or perhaps your horoscope. This cycle's widely-watched fall debates undoubtedly have played a far greater role in helping millions make up their minds, more in Romney's direction than the president's.

The Obama-loving media were out in force Sunday downplaying the significance of the White House's ever-changing position on the attacks on our consulate in Benghazi last month. After New York Times White House correspondent Helene Cooper called the death of four Americans "peripheral to what's going on right now" on Meet the Press, Time magazine's Joe Klein told Face the Nation viewers this matter "has been like the October mirage - it really isn't an issue" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Willie Brown, the former mayor of San Francisco, reported Saturday that President Barack Obama held a semi-secret conference call with the racist preacher Jeremiah Wright and other ministers last weekend to boost African-American turnout. But Obama for America campaign spokeswoman Lis Smith denied it flatly to The Daily Caller on Sunday. “It is not true,” Smith, the campaign’s rapid-response director, wrote in an email to TheDC. Brown reported his claim in his San Francisco Chronicle column Saturday evening. Pressed on whether Wright has “engaged any campaign activity with President Obama over the last two months,”

The Obama re-election campaign has accepted at least one foreign donation in violation of the law — and does nothing to check on the provenance of millions of dollars in other contributions, a watchdog group alleges. Chris Walker, a British citizen who lives outside London, told The Post he was able to make two $5 donations to President Obama’s campaign this month through its Web site while a similar attempt to give Mitt Romney cash was rejected. It is illegal to knowingly solicit or accept money from foreign citizens.

Jordanian security officials yesterday arrested 11 al Qaeda linked suspects believed to be planning what they had dubbed “9/11 the Second” — the bombing of shopping centers and Western diplomatic buildings in Jordan. “They sought to destabilize [the nation],” said a government spokesman. They had amassed a cache of arms from Syrian battlefields and planned to use military-style tactics, he added. The shopping-center hits were to divert attention from the main targets — including US embassies, authorities said.

WASHINGTON- When it comes to debates, Mitt Romney loves the rules. The eyes of millions of voters upon him, the Republican candidate is quick to poke holes in his rival's arguments. But he's just as ready to take the moderator to task when he believes the predetermined ground rules have been breached. Expect more of the same Monday when he and President Barack Obama square off for the third and final time. Romney bickered with moderator Jim Lehrer in the first presidential debate over whose turn it was to have the final say on taxes.

When CBS’s longtime Face the Nation host Bob Schieffer sits down in Boca Raton, Florida, tonight to moderate the final 2012 presidential debate, he’ll be following three journalists who became targets for criticism over how they handled their moderating duties. Upset liberals scorned PBS’s Jim Lehrer for taking a hands-off approach in the first debate on October 3, with MSNBC analyst Howard Fineman slamming him as “practically useless” for not jumping into the debate on behalf of President Obama.

Here's the full version of my story that ran today on Eliot Spitzer's return to Albany yesterday: Eliot Spitzer dismissed a 2016 White House run by Gov. Cuomo-- saying he hopes Hillary Clinton runs instead. In his first appearance in Albany since resigning in disgrace in 2008 in a prostitution scandal, Spitzer declined to talk about Cuomo’s possible campaign. “I think Hillary should run and if she does, I honestly can’t imagine there would even be a primary,” Spitzer said at a WAMC public radio fund-raiser.

We are a Special Forces family. Our son is a pilot. In fact this week we leave for Anaheim, California, where our son, Major Ben Gunn, will be awarded the Gen Paul K Carlton award for bravery in battle. We in the military community have sat quietly watching the debacle transpiring in Washington, as everyone passes the buck on the killing of Americans in Libya. The aspect that turns our hearts and stomachs is the fact President Obama's people watched the attack for 5-6 hours and never "called in the Cavalry." My husband was the Calvary,

For the record, I want it to be known that my grandfather was a salesman. My father was a salesman. And I am a salesman, too. Among the three of us, there are over 100 years of proud selling. Remember what David Axelrod said about Romney after he skunked Obama in the first debate? I do. He referred to him derogatorily as a "salesman" -- worse yet a "great salesman." In the second debate, President Obama mocked Governor Romney and his "sales pitch." Now Harry Reid tells us Romney gives "used car salesmen a bad name."

Lance Armstrong was today stripped of his seven Tour de France titles and banned for life, following a report from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency that accused him of leading a massive doping program on his teams. UCI President Pat McQuaid announced that the cycling federation accepted the USADA’s report on Armstrong and would not appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. The decision clears the way for Tour de France organizers to officially remove Armstrong’s name from the record books, erasing his consecutive victories from 1999-2005. Watch video below
