Mitt Romney on Tuesday slammed President Obama for talking about Big Bird on the campaign trail. "These are tough times, with real serious issues. So you have to scratch your head when the president spends the last week talking about Big Bird," Romney said at a campaign event in Iowa. "I actually think we have to have a president who talks about saving the American people." (Snip) The fight over the yellow puppet, a popular figure on the Sesame Street, came to ahead on Tuesday when Obama's campaign released a hard-hitting ad attacking Romney for his remark on cutting PBS

Unhappy with President Barack Obama‘s support of same-sex marriage, a group of African-American faith leaders have announced a campaign aimed at stripping 25 percent of the black vote that went to Obama in 2008 (95 percent). The newly formed nonprofit group, God Said, will begin targeting voters in Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina, Wisconsin and Florida (snip) “The black community is among the most religious in America and we are offended that President Obama has announced his support of same-sex marriage, that the NAACP has blindly supported the secular views of the Democratic Party, and that their national platform plainly supports

The election of 2012 apparently has a “gate” of its own now that the scandal is finally making its way to some headlines from coast to coast – and probably even in the “foreign” press as well. Despite reported efforts on the part of the Obama White House to stop the story from spreading, it is now becoming common knowledge that there are improprieties in the massive donations being given to President Barack Obama regarding his reelection efforts in 2012.

Suppose an alliance of green activists and corporate fat cats were to write to the Chancellor with the following demands: "We the undersigned feel very strongly that British consumers should pay more for their energy bills and give us more money--lots more money--for something they don't want and they don't need. Basically what we're after is Danegeld--you know, money to make us shut up and go away, at least for a few months, after which of course we'll come back and ask for even more. It sure sounds like Obama made an O.J. Simpson crack last night. Again mocking Mitt Romney for his proposal to cut public television, Obama added some riffs about the fate of some Sesame Street characters. "Elmo has been seen in a white Suburban!" Obama told donors in San Francisco. "He's driving for the border!" Of course, Simpson rode in white Bronco -- driven by friend Al Cowlings -- during the famous slow-speed chase through Los Angeles in 1994.

The chairman of the House Natural Resources Committee accused President Obama of using a 1906 act of Congress as an election-year ploy in the establishment of the César E. Chávez National Monument. Obama traveled to Keene, Calif., today to deliver remarks on the property designated for the monument, Nuestra Señora Reina de la Paz (Our Lady Queen of Peace), or La Paz, southeast of Bakersfield.(Snip) “Additions to the National Park System should result from careful public review and a vote by Congress, not secret election-year deals cut behind closed doors at the White House,” said Rep. America and Israel are considering a joint surgical strike on Iran's nuclear facilities, it was claimed today. Foreign Policy magazine reported a source 'close to the discussions' and said the strike might compose primarily of bombers and drone support. The suggested attack is expected to last no more than a few days - or even just 'a couple of hours', the magazine said. Such a strike could be carried out without civilian casualties, and would set back the Iranian nuclear program by back many years. Benefits of such a strike would be regional, Foreign Policy says.

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) told a press conference at the National Press Club today that the “old style” of tax reform thought — lowering rates and broadening the base by getting rid of loopholes — should be scrapped. “That approach has distinguished lineage. Ronald Reagan and the 1986 Democratic Congress invented it. Simpson-Bowles validated it. The gang of six endorsed it,” said the vice chairman of the Senate Democratic Conference. “But in the upcoming talks on the fiscal cliff, we ought to scrap it. North Korea today warned that mainland America is now within range of its missiles as it accused the U.S. of conspiring with South Korea. It comes after Seoul announced that it has reached a deal with Washington allowing it to nearly triple the range of its missiles to better cope with North Korean nuclear threats. North Korea claims the move proves that the allies are plotting to invade the country - calling the deal a 'product of another conspiracy of the master and the stooge' to 'ignite a war' against the North.

Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) admitted this morning that he was “disappointed” with last week’s presidential debate, but said he believes President Obama has learned his lesson from the disastrous performance. “We’ve always said it would be a close election, and I believe it will be. And I’m, of course disappointed with the debate. Believe the president understands his challenge now. He was shocked and surprised. Many of us were,” he said. But Durbin wasn’t going to pin all of the blame on the president. “Mitt Romney came on that set at the first debate and said things

Mitt Romney is within striking distance of President Obama in Michigan and Pennsylvania, according to polls conducted soon after last week's debate. Obama leads Romney 43 percent to 40 in a new Siena College poll of Pennsylvania, a tighter margin than had been seen in most other recent polls. A Susquehanna Poll released on Monday had Romney within 2 points in the state. The margin was unchanged from a late September poll by the group that was taken when other surveys showed Obama with a double-digit lead in Pennsylvania. In Michigan, Obama's lead over Romney

Romney takes 48 percent support in Ohio, edging President Obama at 47, in the new poll conducted by American Research Group (ARG). It’s the latest survey to show Romney erasing the gender gap. He now trails Obama only 48 to 45 among female voters in the Buckeye State. It should come as no surprise that President Obama will raise taxes if he is re-elected. But here’s the shocker: He will invite the United Nations to tax Americans directly. And the proceeds would go directly to the Third World. In this way, Barack Obama will, indeed, realize the dreams of his father. In our new book, "Here Come the Black Helicopters: UN Global Governance and the Loss of Freedom," Eileen and I describe how there is now pending in the U.N. all kinds of plans to tax Americans and redistribute their wealth –

Yes, you read that headline correctly. I am a Las Vegas oddsmaker (and former Libertarian vice presidential candidate) and here's why I am so boldly predicting a Romney landslide. In November of 2004, only days before the presidential election, I went on CNBC and predicted a Bush victory by 3 points and 30 electoral votes. Every poll at the time showed Kerry in the lead. Bush won by 3 and 35. Newsmax magazine called it the most accurate prediction of 2004. In October of 2006, I went on Fox News to predict the GOP would get slaughtered
