The former head of a Special Forces "Site Security Team" in Libya tells CBS News that in spite of multiple pleas from himself and other U.S. security officials on the ground for "more, not less" security personnel, the State Department removed as many as 34 people from the country in the six months before the terrorist attack in Benghazi that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others. Lt. Col. Andy Wood will appear this week at a House Oversight Committee hearing that will examine security decisions leading up to the Sept. 11 terrorist attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi.

NJ Transit Monday morning told its 1,800 non-union employees the agency has proposed eliminating free rides on buses and trains starting Jan. 1, 2013. The move - part of Gov. Christie reforms - will save $1.6 million a year, officials said. "It's to sharpen the agency's focus on being more efficient from an operational standpoint," said NJ Transit Spokeswoman Nancy Snyder. Snyder said there is no decision at this point for union employees. NJ Transit's board is expected to vote on the measure when it meets 9 a.m., Monday, Oct. 15. There was some entertaining crybabying over the weekend. Very entertaining. Apparently, two of America's most dishonest and disreputable journalists are pretty upset over the fact that Americans no longer trust the government and the media. This Sunday on "Meet the Press," Todd was all pained over *gasp* Americans growing suspicion that a government institution would release counter-intuitive unemployment numbers beneficial to the president just 30 days out from an election. According to the Huffington Post, at times Todd was so upset, his voice "grew shaky":
