On 9/11, as radical Islamic terrorists were attacking the U.S. consulate in Libya and their sympathizers were raising Al Qaeda banners above the U.S. embassy in Cairo--all, we were later told by the Obama administration, due to outrage at a film--a debate was held at the city council meeting of Santa Monica, CA. Troubled residents wanted to know why the city had banned non-profit groups from running ads on the sides of city buses. Why couldn’t a good cause, such as the AIDS Walk, be promoted? one man asked. Is it fair that only for-profit companies can make use

During the White House Press gaggle aboard Air Force One today, a concerned reporter questioned Traveling Press Secretary Jennifer Psaki whether the president was “doing any work to prepare for Romney potentially trying to get under his skin.” “I will say that the President is familiar with his own loquaciousness and his tendency to give long, substantive answers,” Psaki replied citing Obama’s performance at the Univision forum and the NBC Education interview.

There was a video leading the Drudge Report on Thursday afternoon of a poor black woman with messed-up teeth saying she's voting for President Obama because he gave her a free phone, and perhaps you have some questions about it. Questions like: Is this video racist? Is Obama really giving away phones? Is anyone really bothered by these Obama Phones? And, come on, this is just blatant racism, right? We'll try to answer them.

Senate Democrats have officially taken credit for Osama bin Laden’s death in a memo listing the “accomplishments” of the 112th Congress. “With Senate Democrats’ support, President Obama made finding and killing bin Laden a top priority for U.S. national security and executed a focused, sustained effort that succeeded in killing the world’s most wanted terrorist. Senate Democrats supported and amplified President Obama’s counterterrorism strategy by investing more in intelligence efforts and providing funding to expand the role of Special Operations Forces in Afghanistan,” states a memo from the Democratic Policy and Communications Center obtained by The Washington Examiner.

Islamofascism: President Obama seems to be under the illusion the Muslim world is more tolerant than the West. Its immigration policies are perhaps the clearest evidence that's wildly untrue. Referring to the Muhammad video during his U.N. speech this week, Obama lectured Americans about "intolerance" toward Islam. "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam," he said. "It is time to heed the words of Gandhi: 'Intolerance is itself a form of violence and an obstacle to the growth of a true democratic spirit.'" He actually believes Muslims have heeded those words.

In the multi-level Lincoln Park home of one of the biggest political donors in America, first lady Michelle Obama implored a crowd of about 200 people on Thursday not to take anything for granted. The Nov. 6 election is too close, she warned. “The only guarantee you have in this election is it will be closer than the last one,” she said. “Focus with me,” said the first lady, dressed in a cream-colored pants suit, putting her fingers up to her eyes. She then told the crowd not to take anything for granted.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, who is a key player in national cybersecurity efforts, said on Friday she doesn't use e-mail. "Don't laugh, but I just don't use e-mail at all," she said during a discussion at a Cybersecurity Summit hosted by National Journal and Government Executive. She didn't explain what communications tools she does use. President Obama, who appointed Napolitano, broke precedent by carrying his own BlackBerry device. But in response to a question about her personal cybersecurity practices, Napolitano said she avoids many online services. "I don't have any of my own accounts.

New poll: Romney overtakes

The foreign-policy results of the new Bloomberg National Poll haven't gotten much attention yet, but the survey contains some bad news for the Obama campaign. According to the poll, Mitt Romney has a 48-42 advantage over Barack Obama on the question of which candidate would be tougher on terrorism. Romney, in other words, has encroached on one of Obama's signature strengths. What makes this result so surprising is that the president has consistently trounced Romney when it comes to counterterrorism. A Fox News poll earlier this month found that 49 percent of respondents

In the hours following the 9/11 anniversary attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, U.S. intelligence agencies monitored communications from jihadists affiliated with the group that led the attack and members of Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), the group’s North African affiliate. In the communications, members of Ansar al-Sharia (AAS) bragged about their successful attack against the American consulate and the U.S. ambassador, according to three U.S. intelligence officials who spoke to The Daily Beast anonymously because they were not authorized to talk to the press.

Romney campaign surrogate and former New Hampshire Gov. This president has skipped about 60 percent of his personal contact Presidential Daily briefings, the PDB. That document that he skims on his iPad is a summary,” Sununu said last night on Fox.

This week it was announced that Mormon supporters of Mitt Romney are promoting a day of mass fasting and prayer to seek divine help for the Republican candidate in the upcoming Presidential debates. He’ll need it. The question is no longer whether Mitt Romney loses the election. The really interesting conundrum is: what will happen to the Republican party when he does? When Barack Obama’s reelection is confirmed--at an increasingly early hour--on the night of 6 November, it will mean the GOP has managed to secure a popular majority only once in the past quarter of a century.

If I've said it once, I've said it hundreds of times, especially when talking with young people thinking about becoming journalists: Journalism is a proud profession because it is the first line of liberty's defense. Journalists have a constitutional license to shine light in the dark places of government. That's the main reason I love my job and cannot imagine myself doing anything else. It's too bad the majority of Americans don't trust journalists. Even more distressing, though, is the fact that most of the editors, reporters, producers and researchers who occupy journalism's commanding heights don't seem to

The Obama campaign has created a series of electronic greeting card aimed at women voters. "President Obama summed up the Republican Party’s approach to women’s health when he said 'they want to take us back to the policies more suited to the 1950s than the 21st century,'" the Obama campaign website reads. "Send an eCard to say you won’t go back." Perhaps the oddest card in the series, though, is this one: "Dear Mom," the card reads. "Mitt Romney says he would repeal the Affordable Care Act. A week after U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens was killed in an attack on the consulate in Benghazi, President Barack Obama sent U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice out to tell us, “What happened initially was that it was a spontaneous reaction . . . as a consequence of the video, that people gathered outside the embassy and then it grew very violent.” Actually, Mr. President . . . no. There was no “spontaneous reaction.” It was a terrorist attack, and nothing but a terrorist attack. It’s the last mile to America’s most crucial election, and the pathway is strewn with Obama booby traps. Path trodders avoid all bumps in the road and stay on track! Walk straight, walk tall and don’t let anybody stop you from what you know you have to do. Thirty-nine days away and manufactured distractions are coming at you from every which way. Obama who has thrown and is throwing a thousand and one atrocities at the American public, will do no worse today than he’s done yesterday and all along. Like the Big Marxist Lie, the die has already been cast.

This is the moment Ann Coulter wound Whoopi Goldberg up to breaking point as she appeared on The View on Thursday to promote her controversial new book. Coulter took less than 30 seconds to get under the host's skin, confidently claiming: 'I write these books because I try to correct things people believe that are just false.' Armed with copies of Mugged, she argued that America's 'legacy of slavery' has lead to civil rights only 'belonging to blacks', much to Goldberg's disgust. Appearing exasperated to the point of near-speechlessness, Goldberg told her: 'Your facts are a

I'm grateful he'll be joining me on the trail. You should be there, too," Obama said in an email to supporters. The same email offered supporters a chance to attend the event if they donate at least $5 to the campaign.

INDIANAPOLIS — Richard Mourdock became one of the tea party's biggest winners of the 2012 primary season when he knocked off veteran Indiana Sen. Richard Lugar in a brutal campaign built on his contention that Lugar was too old, too out of touch and too friendly with Democrats — a RINO, Republican in name only. But the movement's biggest RINO hunter is now changing his tune as he tries to woo moderate voters in a tight race that stands as a key test of the tea party's ability to win outside the nation's most conservative states.

Yesterday, U.S. Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice skipped Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech to the UN General Assembly--a snub that underscores the Obama administration's hostility towards the Israeli government. It was not the first time that Rice, under fire this week for lying about the Libya attacks, has given Israel the cold shoulder. In fact, she has been doing so for years--with Obama's approval. In 2009, during a critical debate at the UN General Assembly over the defamatory Goldstone Report, which accused Israel (falsely) of war crimes and crimes against humanity, Rice absented herself from proceedings,
