HOLYOKE, Mass. - A controversial new video on the Internet is bringing some negative attention to Senator Scott Brown's re-election campaign. In it, a group of Brown's supporters got a little wild at a recent rally, yelling war chants and making tomahawk gestures; an apparent reference to his Democratic opponent, Elizabeth Warren, who has claimed Indian heritage. The video was taken at a rally on Saturday in Dorchester, and posted online by the Democratic-leaning website Blue Mass Group.

Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee, told a West Palm Beach, Fla., television station over the weekend that he is now okay with homosexuals in the military and does not want to reverse the repeal of the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy. “I talked to a lot of good friends of mine who are combat leaders in the theater, and they just didn’t think the timing of this was right to do this when our troops were in the middle of harm’s way in combat,” Ryan told WPTV Saturday, when asked about

Sad news to report from the music world: Legendary singer Andy Williams died Tuesday night. His rep tells Lifeline Live that Williams passed away after a year-long battle with bladder cancer. He was 84. Williams, who was one of the most popular vocalists of the 1960s as well as an avid golfer, died at home in Branson, Mo., where he owns the Moon River Theatre. Moon River -- by Johnny Mercer and Henry Mancini -- was one of Williams' signature songs.

A Pennsylvania high school has put together a rather startling halftime show for the school’s football games. The New Oxford High School marching band has performed “St. Petersburg 1917,” commemorating the Bolshevik Revolution that brought the communists to power and led to the formation of the Soviet Union. The band, which performed the piece at the Friday night football game on September 14th, wore olive-colored military-style uniforms, and carried red flags–along with giant hammers and sickles. “There is no reason for Americans to celebrate the Russian revolution,” said an irate parent who alerted Fox News to the debacle.

A 23-year-old Nebraska man suffering from toxic blood poisoning stunned doctors after undergoing a “miraculous” recovery in which his failing heart suddenly mended itself. Doctors still don’t have any medical answers as to how Michael Crowe overcame a dangerous and untreatable viral infection that caused his heart to shut down. His family credits good medical work and prayer. Crowe, a second year student at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Pharmacy, was sent to an Omaha hospital in mid-August where he was diagnosed with acute myocarditis, or inflammation of the heart muscle, The Omaha World-Herald reported.

Jefferson City, Mo. - Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill is airing a new ad highlighting Rep. Todd Akin's much-criticized remark about rape, moving quickly to capitalize on her Republican challenger's comment as it became clear Tuesday that he wasn't dropping out of the Senate race. Akin also sought to capitalize on Tuesday's deadline for candidates to withdraw by court order from the Missouri ballot. Instead of quitting, the congressman rallied with about 200 supporters in St. Louis before launching a statewide bus tour and asked for donations to replenish his financially strapped campaign. Akin has repeatedly apologized

Leadership: President Obama declined to meet any world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly this week, but found time to guest star on "The View." Lost in the celebrity-in-chief's choice: American interests. For a president who lectured about the primacy of diplomacy in his hour-long address to the U.N., he sure didn't make time to practice any. Instead of taking the annual opportunity to hold bilateral sideline meetings with allies and partners about urgent issues, as all presidents do, an Obama aide told an obviously aghast New York Times reporter:

In a move that will undoubtedly annoy those who feel the Obama administration has become smothering in its nanny state efforts to control people’s diets, ex-military leaders have been enlisted to declare war on junk food by declaring it a “national security threat.” With one in four military age males in the United States deemed too fat to join the Army, retired generals and admirals are coming together under the banner of Mission: Readiness, a “nonpartisan national security organization” run by the Council for a Strong America (Snip)primarily a lobbying group that has previously donated to the Obama campaign.

President Barack Obama made the annual pilgrimage to New York this week to deliver a gift basket of White House treats to his adoring acolytes on ABC TV's "The View" and to remind them he is their "eye candy." Following that, in another example of the bold leadership Americans have come to expect from No. 44, Obama spoke at the United Nations General Assembly, although he had to talk and run.

Something remarkable happened at the Democratic National Convention earlier this month. After three years of reeling from the political damage wrought by Obamacare, which stroked even Massachusetts with a red brush, Democrats stood up and defended their law. Patients with pre-existing conditions took to the podium. Health secretary Kathleen Sebelius had a prime speaking slot. The delegates wore "Obamacare as [a] badge of honor," as Greg Sargent gushed. But then something even more remarkable happened. Despite the Democrats' collective bear hug, the polls didn't budge. And they still haven't.

School menu monitor Michelle Obama has always put the welfare of America's school children first. Right? Now, the first lady, in conjunction with the USDA and the 2010 "Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act," is on a one-woman mission to eradicate what she believes to be the greatest "threat to national security" -- childhood obesity. Michelle Obama's vision to promote healthier BMIs includes force-feeding federally-funded food to kids in school cafeterias and mandating that school-aged slackers "Let's Move!"

A day after Security Clearance reported that the diplomatic office in Benghazi, Libya, had less than standard security before an attack there killed four Americans, two U.S. senators have demanded details of the threats and security concerns ahead of the attack. U.S. Sens. Johnny Isakson, R-Georgia, and Bob Corker, R-Tennessee, both members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, penned a letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Tuesday requesting that the she provide the committee with "all communication relevant to the security situation in Benghazi between the U.S. mission and the State Department leading up to the attacks

LIMA, Ohio - As the candidates arrive in the Buckeye State for several days of critical campaigning, President Obama is enjoying more than just a lead in most polls. He's also enjoying Republican insiders slamming Mitt Romney for various faults, real and perceived, while potentially huge problems for the president -- the investigation into what happened at the Libyan consulate attack, a devastating blow suffered by U.S. forces in Afghanistan, and Obama's lack of a plan to deal with the coming entitlement crisis, to name just three -- go largely undiscussed in much of the press.

If you're going to believe the polls released from CBS/New York Times this morning -- you know, the polls the media's currently using to beat Romney senseless with and to depress Republican enthusiasm, you have to believe that the turnout advantage for Democrats over Republicans will blow away every previous record and common sense. It's that simple. Because these polls are not only telling us that Romney is losing OH, PA, and FL by insurmountable margins; these polls are also telling us that Democrat turnout is projected to blow away every modern record

VANDALIA, Ohio – Trailing President Obama by 8 percentage points in this pivotal battleground state, Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney and running mate Paul Ryan are pulling out all the stops on a two-day, five-city bus tour in hopes of making up important political ground. Romney flew to Ohio after spending the morning talking foreign policy and education in New York City. He and Ryan kicked off the bus tour with an afternoon rally here. Both projected confidence to a crowd of more than 3,500 people who waited at the Dayton airport for hours to see the candidates.

The anti-Islam film trailer that the White House has repeatedly blamed for sparking unrest in the Middle East had nothing to do with the attack that led to the death of U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens, that nation's president told NBC News. Libyan President Mohamed Magarief said the deadly Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi, which also resulted in the deaths of three other Americans, was more likely pegged to the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. "Reaction should have been, if it was genuine, should have been six months earlier. So it was postponed until the 11th of September,"

The wife of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney told the NBC host that the pair regularly visits the chain, where customers can buy any number of products in bulk. She also said that the election of her husband, a Mormon, would signal that 'prejudices are left behind' just as the election of President Obama had done. Despite the trillion-dollar deficits that keep piling up and recent American deaths in hot spots around the world, President Barack Obama said on Tuesday that Iowans should have confidence that he can whittle the debt and maintain peace and security throughout the world. Obama said if he’s fortunate enough to win a second term, his re-election will send a message to Republicans that Americans want them to follow his strategies, and that includes aiding the economy by spending on education and roads and bridges.

NEW YORK — After an hour of fielding questions about Syria, sanctions and nuclear weapons, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had enough. Now, he said, it was his turn to choose the topic — his "new order" which will inevitably replace the current era of what he called U.S. bullying. Continuing his hectic pace of media appearances and diplomatic meetings, Ahmadinejad presented an air of boredom when it came to the hot topic on everyone's mind — Iran's nuclear program and the possibility of impending war. Whether it was feigned or sincere, he said he would much rather
