NEW YORK (CBS) — A sketch of the man Stormy Daniels says threatened her lit up Twitter on Tuesday, with many seeing a resemblance to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Daniels appeared on ABC’s “The View” Tuesday morning with lawyer Michael Avenatti. They released a sketch of the man Daniels says approached her in a Las Vegas parking lot in 2011 while she was carrying her infant daughter, and told her “not to go to police and leave Mr. Trump alone.” Daniels said the encounter happened after she had agreed to give a magazine her story about the alleged

Former FBI Director James B. Comey said Wednesday that he no longer considers himself a Republican. “I just think they’ve lost their way, and I can’t be associated with it,” Mr. Comey said on ABC News podcast “Start Here.” Mr. Comey attributed the change in the party to the 2016 election and said that after he was fired, he started to become more politically aware. He has been a lifelong Republican and said that in today’s party, the only Republican he does respect is former 2012 presidential nominee Mitt Romney. He called Mr. Romney, who is running for the open Senate seat in Utah, a “person of principle and honor.”

Kramerbooks, located in Washington’s trendy Dupont Circle district, is the place Washingtonians go to hang out, browse books, and grab something to eat at the attached cafe. It’s much smaller than a Barnes and Noble and has survived Amazon because it is cozy and inviting, offering the feeling that you are immersed within a warm den of great books. And if you’re going to sell a political book, it’s a good place to start, given the clientele. The place was open at 12:01 am Tuesday morning expecting long lines for James Comey’s new book, “I’ve Got Higher Morals than You,” or “I’m

As president of S.F. Travel, the city’s visitors bureau, Joe D’Alessandro’s job is to promote San Francisco. You’d think he’d be hyping the city’s gorgeous vistas, top-notch restaurants and glorious museums. Instead, he’s getting honest. Sure, San Francisco has great facets worthy of postcards and travel books, but it also has a worsening underbelly that D’Alessandro says he can no longer gloss over. People injecting themselves with drugs in broad daylight, their dirty needles and other garbage strewn on the sidewalks. Tent camps. Human feces. The threatening behavior of some people who appear either mentally ill or high. Petty theft. “The streets are

On Tuesday, Starbucks announced it will be closing 8,000 stores on May 29 so 175,000 employees can attend a training program that will address implicit bias, promote inclusion and help prevent discrimination, NBC reports. Eric Holder was tapped as one of the ‘experts’ to assist with training the employees. That’s all you need to know. NBC reported: Starbucks said Tuesday it will be closing all of its company-owned restaurants in the U.S. during the afternoon of May 29 to conduct a racial-bias education program. “I’ve spent the last few days in Philadelphia with my leadership team listening to the community,

Washington - Dozens of Democratic U.S. Senators on Wednesday introduced a resolution calling for Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt to resign on allegations of ethics lapses. Those relate to the agency’s purchase of a $43,000 sound booth for his office and spending on travel and security. The resolution was signed by 39 senators in the 100-member Senate, which is controlled by Pruitt’s fellow Republicans. Although Republicans can defeat it, the resolution is symbolically important because it represents the most senators ever to call for a Cabinet member’s ouster in resolution, its sponsors said.

During a Tuesday interview with “Good Morning America,” former FBI Director praised Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James, saying he learned a lot about leadership from the future Hall of Fame. “I admire LeBron James, and he’s probably about to find out I used to talk about him all over the FBI and say he illustrates what the endless pursuit of excellence looks like,” Comey told host George Stephanopoulos. He continued, “Every offseason, I’ve read, he tries to find a part of his game to make better — which is crazy, because he’s already better than everybody else. It’s because he measures himself
