Could a Trump-Clinton race be
the lowest turnout election ever?

I’ve had a feeling for some time now that the early head to head polls which show Hillary Clinton sliding in to an easy victory over Donald Trump might be a bit of a stretch. First off, six weeks is an eternity in politics. Six months is forever and you never know what will happen next week to turn the election on its head. There’s also what we’ve come to know as “The Trump Factor” to consider. If Donald Trump stays on his current track and secures 1,237 delegates and the nomination, solid predictions may be hard to come by

Police clashed with hundreds of protesters outside Donald Trump´s rally in Southern California on Thursday night. At least one police car was smashed up as hundreds of demonstrators – many of them waving Mexican flags – took to the streets outside the Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa, Orange County where Trump was speaking. The protesters flooded the street outside the amphitheater with some stomping on cars, hurling rocks at motorists and forcefully declaring their opposition to Trump - bringing traffic to a halt and creating a tense standoff with authorities. One Trump supporter was pictured with a bloody facing after

Donald Trump now looks set to be the Republican presidential nominee. So for those of us appalled by this prospect — what are we supposed to do? Well, not what the leaders of the Republican Party are doing. They’re going down meekly and hoping for a quiet convention. They seem blithely unaware that this is a Joe McCarthy moment. People will be judged by where they stood at this time. Those who walked with Trump will be tainted forever after for the degradation of standards and the general election slaughter. The better course for all of us — Republican, Democrat and independent

Hollywood loves to paint itself as America’s capital of compassion. So why is the hottest script right now all about comedian Will Ferrell mocking Ronald Reagan’s fatal battle with the ravages of Alzheimer’s disease? This is no laughing matter. As we noted yesterday, the script “begins at the start of the ex-president’s second term when he falls into dementia” and then “As a result, ´an ambitious intern´ is assigned to convince Reagan “that he is an actor playing the president in a movie.” That gibes with the usual 1980s cartoon. But even the hip men’s magazine Esquire warned, “It´s an

Sources estimate that 20 Blaze employees will lose their jobs in New York, a dozen in Washington, five in Ohio, and two or three in L.A. to satisfy the requirements of a multimillion-dollar bank loan. The axe fell once again on Glenn Beck’s crumbling media empire Thursday as employees in the New York and Washington offices of The Blaze, Beck’s multi-media online operation, along with business staffers in Los Angeles and the documentary unit in Columbus, Ohio, were told their jobs are on the chopping block, according to multiple sources who spoke The Daily Beast on condition of anonymity. Sources estimated that

In his first television interview since dropping out of the 2016 race in February, Jeb Bush said he was "hopeful" that a contested convention would block Donald Trump from winning the GOP nomination. "There´s a possibility that he won´t get 50 percent on the first ballot," Bush told CNN´s Jamie Gangel on Friday. "And if he doesn´t do that, there are a whole lot of people who don´t believe he´s the proper guy." Asked whether he thinks the Republican party should rally around Trump if he does become the nominee, Bush, who has publicly endorsed Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, simply replied, "I

Insiders: Clinton would crush

In the swing states that matter most in the presidential race, Donald Trump doesn’t have a prayer against Hillary Clinton in the general election. That’s according to top operatives, strategists and activists in 10 battleground states who participated in this week’s POLITICO Caucus. Nearly 90 percent of them said Clinton would defeat Trump in their home states in a November match-up. Republicans are only slightly more bullish on Trump’s prospects than Democrats: More than three-quarters of GOP insiders expect Clinton to best the Republican front-runner in a general-election contest in their respective states. Among Democrats, the belief is nearly universal:
