Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney attacked real estate mogul and 2016 GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump on Saturday, telling a CNN reporter he thinks Trump’s remarks on illegal immigrants were a “severe error.” “Do you think Donald Trump’s comments on Mexicans have hurt the Republican Party?” a reporter asked Romney in video carried on CNN on Saturday. “Yes, I think he made a severe error in saying what he did about Mexican-Americans,” Romney replied. “And it’s unfortunate.” “Do you think the candidates should speak up about that?” the reporter followed up. “I think a number of them have,”

After a week of defending his remarks, George Takei finally apologized today for calling Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas a “clown in blackface. ” Takei went on the racist rant Monday during an interview in Phoenix, in response to Thomas’ comments regarding the Supreme Court decision on gay marriage: “He is a clown in blackface sitting on the Supreme Court. He gets me that angry. He doesn’t belong there,” Takei said, later adding, “This man does not belong on the Supreme Court. He is an embarrassment. He is a disgrace to America. I’ll say it on camera.” Clarence Thomas, the

This Humans of New York photo showing what it says is a distraught young boy crying because he is gay has gone viral, with thousands of people commenting on Facebook offering advice and words of support. “I’m homosexual and I’m afraid about what my future will be and that people won’t like me,” the caption reads. (Photo) The image on the photoblog seems to have grabbed the attention and pulled at the heartstrings of even Hillary Clinton, who left her own message for the unidentified child as well. “Prediction from a grown-up: Your future is going to be amazing,” she

WASHINGTON -- Hispanic leaders are bristling at the largely tepid response by Republican presidential candidates to Donald Trump´s characterization of Mexican immigrants as rapists and drug dealers. Several 2016 contenders have brushed off Trump´s comments while others have ignored them. Marco Rubio, a Florida senator who is Hispanic, denounced them as "not just offensive and inaccurate, but also divisive," after declining for two weeks to address the matter directly. Another Hispanic in the race, Ted Cruz, said Trump is "terrific," "brash" and "speaks the truth.”

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) released a statement Friday night attacking rival Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for a statement made during his campaign announcement speech 16 days ago. Rubio’s statement reads: Trump’s comments are not just offensive and inaccurate, but also divisive. Our next president needs to be someone who brings Americans together – not someone who continues to divide. Our broken immigration system is something that needs to be solved, and comments like this move us further from – not closer to – a solution. We need leaders who offer serious solutions to secure our border and fix our

As diplomats rush to reach an agreement to curb Iran´s nuclear program, the U.S. military is stockpiling conventional bombs so powerful that strategists say they could cripple Tehran´s most heavily fortified nuclear complexes, including one deep underground. The bunker-busting bombs are America´s most destructive munitions short of atomic weapons. At 15 tons, each is 5 tons heavier than any other bomb in the U.S. arsenal. In development for more than a decade, the latest iteration of the MOP — massive ordnance penetrator — was successfully tested on a deeply buried target this year at the White Sands Missile Range in

Guest post by Patch Adams–As Obama’s term as President is slowly nearing its end, more and more of who the man is, and what he truly stands for, is beginning to seep out. For instance, President Obama released his 4th of July weekly address for 2015 with one key ingredient missing: God. Unlike his weekly addresses during the previous two years, where the President concluded his speeches with “God Bless You All” (2014) and “So, God bless You All. And may God bless The United States of America” (2013), Obama left out any mention of God in his recent address.
