Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that Ukraine and the U.S. government are “working on a bilateral security agreement” that would force Washington to provide Ukraine with military, economic, and political support for the next decade. In a statement issued on Sunday, Zelensky said that he and President Joe Biden are in talks to secure a deal that would give Ukraine U.S. taxpayer funds for the next ten years as its long-winded war with Russia continues.
He claimed the money is needed to equip Ukraine with the “efficiency in assistance” it needs to tackle the recent war advances by Russian forces.

It smells to me that this type of long term commitment does fall under the Treaties clause, requiring a supermajority of Congress….

Wow, ensuring that FJB and the Deep State will be receiving taxpayer funded kickback checks for the next decade. Lucky us. No wonder he wants to raise everyone's taxes. If Ukraine can't win then maybe it is time to throw in the towel.

As preposterous as this sounds , I don't doubt that is is being worked on.
Zelenski is a dictator there hasn't been an election in the Ukraine for years.
He has no intention of seeking peace as long as the United States keep sending him money and weapons.
Joe Biden is not mentally capable of working ANY deal

Zelinskyy had better make that $61B last a long, long time.
Just as long as the few solid Republicans in DC can keep the Uniparty from making that happen before the election ... which I have concerns, of course.
Maybe it would just be better to pass a law to give 10% of that largesse to the Biden Crime Family right now and call it even.

I think if Trump wins, he will find a way to stop that agreement in it's tracks. After all, Biden came up with all kinds of new ways to side step the Congress so he can get his way, so why wouldn't Trump figure out a way to get us out of handing Ukraine Billions every year! I believe a President should never be allowed to make a "bi-lateral Security agreement, with another country, that would be in place AFTER he leaves office! It's one thing for him to make an agreement while he is in office, but it should end when he leaves office!! And Biden IS going to be leaving that Office in January!!

Ukraine becoming the 51st state was my thought as well. As for federal aid, I did a search on how much federal aid do California and New York get. California gets 27 billion and New York gets 110 billion. Maybe Ukraine will be our unofficial 51st state after all.

If the House of Representatives does not appropriate the funds, the US Government (the administration in power) cannot unilaterally create and fill a ten year funding pipeline. Unless specifically authorized by Congress, money appropriated by Congress has an expiration date. Two-year funding is common in appropriations language. No president has the power to obligate multi-year funding unless previously authorized and appropriated by Congress. That is why it is as critical to hold the House and take back the Senate as it is to send Trump back to the WH. Need both to happen but Trump back in office, with a democrat Congress, would be a disaster of the highest order. He would likely be impeached and removed prior to giving his initial SOTU address of his new term. For those who are of the "Uniparty" bent, and see no advantage to a Republican majority in Congress, a real Uniparty would have removed Trump from office, effectively preventing him from ever running for office again. That didn't happen in either impeachment, despite the handful of miserable turncoats in the GOP. Ideally, with a friendly Congress, the more critical Trump executive orders could become public law with a Republican WH and Congress. Shoring up the conservative majority on the USSC and across federal benches nationwide, would be an added bonus, but the point remains that Trump cannot go it alone.

yes, 25--from what we hear, read, know of the reporting, which is:
1. we pay for all their needs and wants--including paying to protect their borders-not ours;
2.plus the desires of the ukr crime bosses-- zelloutskyy and his crookskyy pals mock and steal us blind
for mansions, yachts , bentleys etc. the people flee; their kids are slaughtered wholesale;
3.that's what's fit to print. the other 'industries' there are too horrific to discuss;
4.iirc, the boss in langley personally flew to ukr recently to suggest they tone it down--
steal with 1 hand, not both, to keep the peasants [us] from revolting.
traitor mike got them 61B w/o a dime left for the american borders-he's already working
on the next grift, to wit: that rodent wants bidenskyy to ensure him that he'll gaza-strip america
of every dime in the budget over the next 10 years-and that will Not be to buy little ukr flags.
some say ukr will be depopulated, and gifted great arable lands to Dr No and the goebbalist weffr'z

Unless it is a treaty ratified by Congress, the next president of the other party can cancel this agreement. And Zelensky, one more thing. If this war lasts for years, I doubt if you will still be leading your people.

When this war started over two years ago, I like many others was horrified. It was tragic seeing the death and destruction of a country. People's homes and livelihoods destroyed. I, like many others donated clothes and linens to the people of Ukraine. But now, I feel like a complete idiot and frankly, I want to cut this never ending money pit loose. And it's not because of the Ukrainian people; it's because as others have said this is clearly a grift. A grift for Zelensky and his Paris shopping wife. It's a grift for all of the Ukranian officials buying their homes in Switzerland. And of course it's a grift and a never ending source of income for the Bidens and others in our government.
Just as the installed Biden regime is giving Trump and all Americans the middle finger with the outrageous lawfare and election interference against Trump, Zelensky is doing the same thing. I mean, it's one thing for Americans to be given the middle finger from their own government. That's been going on for 1198 days of the Biden regime. But, it's really tedious and teeing me off, to be getting the finger from a little tin pot, out of shape, sloppily dressed dictator. Trump can't get back in office fast enough.

Did you notice they never make Zelensky prove progress, as a condition for more money? It’s blank check. The whole east side is held by Russia. This really makes one wonder from the stalemate are Zelenskyy and Biden stealing most of the aid money. Because we obviously are not winning and pushing the Russian out.
