The Senate moved Wednesday to put a premature end to the impeachment trial of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, which would make him the second Cabinet official in history to evade a conviction and removal from office — but the first to be acquitted without evidence being presented of his alleged “high crimes and misdemeanors.” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) convened the upper chamber in the early afternoon to swear in the 51 Democrats or independents who caucus with them and 49 Republicans as jurors, before offering a motion to dismiss the first of the charges without a trial. The unprecedented move set off a series of objections from Republicans,

So the wimpy House Republicans wasted their time again! To remove any Biden progressive Democrat appointee the wimpy House Republicans, instead of fighting a civil war within their conference, must stick together and through future elections control both the House, and the Senate, and of course the White House. Even then they will have to contend with their RINO minority who could vote with the progressive Democrats to defeat or staff wimpy Republican sponsored bills at anytime.

Barack Obama set the stage in 2015 for the student loan forgiveness fiasco when he announced the 'America's College Promise' proposal to make two years of community college free. On the proposal's web page is this: "Students should be able to get the knowledge and the skills they need without taking on decades worth of student debt." (emphasis mine) Obama's idea has now been extended to include four-year colleges. His lackey, that joke who currently occupies the Bully Pulpit, is simply forwarding his boss' idea. The problem for Biden is that Obama's idea is neither legal nor morally acceptable. An article in The Conversation makes a good moral case for not

They would have blanched at relying on serial perjurer Michael Cohen as a star witness. They would have recognized the inherent ambiguity over whether the hush payments to Stormy Daniels were personal payments or campaign expenses.
