U.N. Security Council Passes Gaza Cease-Fire
Resolution, after U.S. Abstains from Vote

The United Nations Security Council on Monday passed a resolution calling for a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. The resolution calls for the immediate cease-fire in Gaza during Ramadan and the immediate, unconditional release of the hostages being held captive by Hamas. The U.S. chose to abstain instead of vetoing the resolution, and all other member nations voted in favor. It marks the first time the U.N. Security Council has passed a cease-fire resolution since the war between Israel and Hamas broke out on October 7 because of Hamas’s mass slaughter of innocent civilians from Israel and nations around the world.

Does the resolution decisively condemn the burning alive of Jewish babies or gouging out their children's eyes? Israel might cease fire but will Hamas release hostages? They won't even give a list of those that are still alive. It's like the Two State proposal. One side wants it all. This is simply pushing a wet noodle uphill.

By the way, where was the UNSC when hamas attacked Israel on October 7th when 1,400 Israeli men, women, and children begged for their lives only to be raped. tortured, shot in the head, dismembered, and beheaded.

More like a U.N. resolution to permit Hamas to regroup and rearm. That game has been played and replayed countless times since Israel's restoration.. I prefer the absence of conflict; but experience (both recent and long-term) has shown that only one side ever has interest in ceasing attacks. And throughout Israel's most-recent counter-attack, Hamas has repeatedly declared intent never to cease its attacks against Israel. I can't blame Israel for resisting the globalists' unrealistic and unreasonable demands.

On January 23, 2024, Breitbart News noted that Virginia Democrats were advancing an “assault weapons” ban. On February 9, 2024, Breitbart News pointed out that the Virginia House Democrats “assault firearm” ban targeted semiautomatic centerfire pistols — like the 9mm or 45 ACP — if said pistols take a detachable magazine and have a threaded barrel. Semiautomatic centerfire pistols are wildly popular among concealed carriers and target shooters. Last summer the regime of socialist dictator Nicolas Maduro announced that leading opposition candidate Maria Corina Machado was ineligible to run for office. The country hadn't held an election in five years at that point but Machado was expected to be the leading candidate if the current government agreed to hold an election. The opposition held a primary to decide who would face off with Maduro and, as expected, Machado won despite the government sending out its colectivo thugs on motorbikes to harass opposition voters. Machado hoped that a clear win in the primary would embarrass the socialist government into allowing her on the ballot, but in January

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Tuesday appeared likely to reject a challenge to the abortion pill mifepristone, with a number of justices indicating the lawsuit should be dismissed. The court, which has a 6-3 conservative majority, heard oral arguments on the Biden administration's appeal of lower court rulings that restricted women's access to the pill, including its availability by mail. But during the arguments, there was little discussion of whether the Food and Drug Administration's decisions to lift restrictions on the drug were unlawful. Instead, the justices focused on whether the group of anti-abortion doctors who brought the lawsuit even had legal standing to bring the claim.

Politico has a follow up on something which seems pretty strange in retrospect. Just a few months ago, the Biden administration was leaking to the media that it was about to crack down on illegal immigration. Specifically, we were told there might be an executive order coming intended to limit the surge of asylum seekers. But all of that seems to have faded away. A month ago, the White House was openly considering a string of executive actions to curb migration at the southern border. But no announcements were made. And now, immigration advocates who had been engaged with the Biden administration about the moves say they no longer appear imminent...
