Radical animal rights protester Alex Taylor has filed a police report claiming assault after L.A. Rams player Bobby Wagner tackled him during the protester’s run across the field on Monday evening.
Taylor and his partner Allison Fluty, both representing the radical animal rights group Direct Action Everywhere, appeared at Monday’s Rams-49ers game to protest by jumping out on the field with pink smoke bombs. Fluty was quickly stopped by security while Taylor made it to the field.
But as he ran across the field evading security, Rams linebacker Bobby Wagner stepped in and flattened the protester with a sharp body block sending Taylor sprawling down to the ground.

He needs more hard tackles to persuade himself not to be an animal rights idiot.
Animals don’t have rights. All animals care about is food, shelter, and security. We should be kind to animals, not to mistreat them. These rightists are just a bunch of deluded loons that have no meaning in their lives.

It would have been a tad more amusing had Wagner maimed the Asshat for life.

Bobby Wagner could have completely leveled the guy where the protester would have been able to get up.
Wagner did what he should have done.

Here is my prediction. If the NFL settles with this guy and gives him any money. It will spell the end of the NFL.
It will encourage others to follow in his footsteps and do their own protest. The NFL was already on shaky ground over last weeks Tua concussion and hospitalization in Miami Game last week.

That smoke bomb could have been a nerve agent.
And when you don't know that is why you don't sit back.
This kind of reminded me of Rick Monday when he played for the Dodgers. Some hippie tried to burn an American flag on the field and Rick ran in and saved it !

I'll bet the police were laughing out loud as they filled out the report.

Pretty sure the player thought the guy had a bomb or chemical weapon or something. Or so I hope his lawyer tells him to say.

I hope they sue the garbanzos off the doofus. Delay of game, unlawful use of a player, trespassing, attempting an insurrection - the whole ball of whacks.

If you want to protest find some way that doesn’t make you look like a lunatic. It will have zero positive impact.

Twas Halftime. Players are NOT on the field.
Clearly a streamer announcing a child. Let’s not be the Left, going to extremes….”Nerve gas” please.
The penalty for trespassing on the field was pre-established: A small fine and ejection.
The Security is paid to provide a level of remove of liability for JUST such situations.
He’s gonna have a nice chunk of change for his new daughter.
NOT that I agree with it, but that’s the way the law crumbles.

As a GB Packer season ticket holder, I and 80,000 of my friends in Lambeau Field are reminded each game that going onto the Field at anytime before, during or following the game is an arrestable offense (and will probably result in the loss of your season tickets, an even greater penalty).
The North Korean prison guards are much more understanding than the Green Bay Police Department on game day.
Oh, by the way, I had the Rams defense on my fantasy team last week. Does Bobby Wagner's hit count as a tackle?

When Mike Curtiss of the old Baltimore Colts slammed a drunken fan who came on to the field, the fan laughed it off.
Curtiss's reply after the game was that he was enforcing a city ordinance.

FTA: "Direct Action Everywhere called the take down a 'blatant assault,' and now Taylor has filed a police report with the Santa Clara Police Dept. on Tuesday. He also claims he suffered a burn from his smoke device when tackled."
My second big laugh of the day! Thanks!
A reminder: Santa Clara, near San Jose California, is about as liberal a jurisdiction as it's possible to find in the USA. Only in nearby Santa Cruz could you find a more liberal populace from which to select a jury pool.

If it was jan 6... "The attacker, promoting violent revolution against Our Sacred Democracy, was armed with and deployed Military Grade incendiary devices, and incited mass terror to thousands, seriously endangering/injuring security officers in the act...FBI teams are now rounding up anyone they had been in contact with over the prior years, that colluded/conspired in this seditious, treasonous plotting...keep in mind that this took place in a Homeland Security designated controlled/restricted/protected area, Charges also filed for trespassing/parading/demonstrating in such a Federally Protected area"

I played some linebacker, a long time ago.
When someone came into my area, I took them down, usually in a way where they might not have wanted to re enter my area.
I would fault Bobby Wagner, linebacker, only for his failure to put the pink cloud weenie into the hospital.
