The Economic Balloon That May Finally
End Progressive Leftism

Original Article

The Laws of Economics are as immutable as the Law of Gravity, but few leftists grasp this fact. When it comes to the Democrats’ energy policies, I believe this immutability will finally be the Democrats’ downfall. People are reaching a pain point that the progressives can no longer deflect onto others. (snip) For the right cause, say a short-term need to defend the US against an aggressor to protect us, citizens do make sacrifices, as we saw in World War II with rationing. But sane Americans won’t do it for progressive, leftist, or Marxist authoritarian causes.

FTA: "The simplest solution is to reopen the drilling permits and the Keystone Pipeline and to let American industry solve it. Leftists cannot allow that." Correction…leftists WILL NOT allow that to happen. Unless or until the member states in our republic gets the voting mess sorted out and we get a conservative minded republican installed in the White House first, then we will be on a better path, hopefully. However, I don’t expect anything to change for the next, at least, three years, only for things to get worse, which is what I’m preparing for.

To be true the progressive left must have common sense. They don't. Their belief systems are utopian, unreal. They will continue down the yellow brick road to Venezuela. Once there, they will blame others and react accordingly. They will dispatch those whom they blame to Gulags. It has happened before. It will happen again. Dont believe it wont.

The author refers to "sane" people realizing the insanity of liberal policies. Unfortunately. I think a large portion of Americans no longer qualify as "sane". There have been MANY examples in recent decades that have screamed the craziness of liberalism, yet many people still vote for democrats. Four decades ago, Reagan's return to prosperity vs. Carter's malaise was blatantly obvious. Trump's return to fiscal sanity vs. BO's slo-mo "recovery" was a repeat lesson. BO even claimed credit for Trump's surging economy. He should have been laughed off the political stage, but he was not. Trump's policies economically helped more of BO's "people" than BO could have dreamed of and yet BO's "people" overwhelmingly voted for Biden. Despite all the lessons, Biden was elected. Sure, the dems cheated. However, sanely, it SHOULD HAVE BEEN an overwhelming landslide for Trump. The dems machinations should have been blown away. A sane nation should have run away screaming from an obviously senile Biden. Yet, even today, almost half the Country still thinks Biden is competent. Yes, they recognize the economic pain they are feeling but many REFUSE to lay the blame at the dems feet. The 2020 election proved to me that Americans are NOT rational.

Any "end" to progressive leftism will be temporary because these things go in circles. The American people are ambitious, creative and productive so it is in our nature to do what it takes to create and maintain a booming economy. The progressives see all of that prosperity and extra money and use it to promise the parasites of society great things if only they vote the leftists back in. Conservatives then have another big mess to fix. The only way to get rid of progressives is to remove them and the parasites both through permanent means.

Agree, #7, but I do think that there are a lot of demonrats who are suffering serious buyer’s remorse. If not, TaliBiden’s approval would be around 50% instead of the current 37%. (Though I also believe that his true number is much lower than that.) The only Americans who still do support him are the indoctrinated young, the drunk on kool-aid true believers and the gimme-dats. Yesterday, for the first time in my life, I paid more than $4 for a gallon of gas. On 11/3/20, I was paying $1.89. Gas prices started to rise on 11/4/20 because the oil companies knew what TaliBiden would do to them. He had campaigned on it in the very limited amount of campaigning that he managed from his basement. FJB

While all the thoughts are true, the same people will vote for Biden again. We thought leftism was discredited and buried in the 1980's. Again under Trump. No, the ignorant will forever be with us. We need to review our leader selection process. We are not getting the right personnel. Our leaders are being selected based on the political support of billionaires and big business, who have narrow interests that do not include the general welfare. BTW, when heroes of the past are listed, even by the left, they never include their leaders, Marx, Lenin, Castro, Maduro, Mao, Stalin. No, it is always Washington, Lincoln, Churchill.

If one didn't already know the author's main points then one hasn't paid much attention. What this author and every writer on the topic of modern day political economics fails to articulate is what normal Americans can do about this lefty-made crisis Now. Not in 2024 but now. 2024 may be way too late to stop and repair the economic damage that is surely piling up and the dems do not seem to be heeding their own polls with regard to 2022, so some sort of fix may be brewing. Even normal Americans have shown that they will sit idly by while the left renders their votes meaningless. President Trump had no answers as he saw the great 2020 vote heist barreling down the tracks and his efforts after the fact were ineffective, if not detrimental to conservatives and those who support him. In 2018, the president didn't seem to grasp the need to keep democrats from taking over the House, and that wound up causing him to be twice impeached. Teasing a 2024 run, as if the 2022 mid terms are a slam dunk for the GOP, takes too much focus off of the do or die criticality of this year's elections for control of Congress. This election year, Trump holds the golden megaphone; I just hope he uses it to the advantage of normal Americans.

I'm starting to think we need a law like Texas new abortion law. People that are negatively affected by laws and rules passed by a politician should be able to sue those politicians for damages or costs. If they pass a tax increase or rule people should be able to sue all those that were involved for damages/costs. Make them personally pay for the pain they cause.

This was obviously a very bad idea to anyone with a functional grasp of economics, but guess what, in order to be a lefitst, a communist, a socialist - one MUST be a total economic illiterate and believe in fairy tales like windmills, solar panels and electric cars, along with the HUGE fairly tale that there are no truly evil people in the world, all that bad stuff was in the past. This past Sunday, we were given indications of two possible November midterm election outcomes for Republicans. They came on Maria Bartiromo’s “Sunday Morning Futures” program. It featured Stephen Miller, who served as a top advisor to former president Trump, and Senator Lindsey Graham, an erstwhile ally of Trump’s. Miller’s remarks provided a sensible approach in the hope of ceasing the Ukraine conflict. Graham’s remarks were a continuation of his unremitting bellicosity about the war. Whichever perspective prevails before November will have a bearing on how voters see GOP candidates and cast their ballots.
