The legislation was passed last week and is headed to the Senate. Bearing Arms’ Cam Edwards explained: The military version of the red flag law proposed by Democrats looks a lot like the civilian version found in more than a dozen states. Without being charged or even accused of a crime, a service member could have their right to possess a firearm taken away from them by a military court, and the subject of

Disappointed but not surprised in Jim Baird from Indiana. Won't vote for him again. And not that he cares about anything other than big agriculture, but we wish he would pay attention to the rest of his constituents.
Note: Indiana has red flag laws and so far have only used them politically. NONE of the times used was there any danger. Judges are not pleased with the use and misuse of these laws.

One of them, Rep. Vicki Hartzler {R}, sits on the House Armed Services Committee. She also is running for Senate, in Missouri, to replace the retiring Senator Blunt (we are happy for him but more so for us).
If she should win that election this is a sample of what we will get in Missouri. Her tenure in the House has been far from stellar.

We know who, now we have to know why. Some are very disappointing. I just do not get it and they should be made to explain their vote. Now is not the time to start with gun control. Have they not seen what this administration is capable of? It solidifies in my mind, we can never give up our right to bear arms. Frankly, any thing the democrats propose, automatically get a huge no from me. They cannot be trusted.

My Joe Biden voting deep blue state doesn't have any reps on there maybe because we don't have republican reps at all so I should feel good, right? Red flag laws are dangerous they could also put you on a terrorist watch list stopping someone from flying. A mad ex-wife could accuse you of being dangerous then your right to own a firearm is taken away this is gun confiscation if some liberal judge rules on it.

Don't states have red flag laws? Then why in the world do the Feds need one? Except to grab even more power to themselves which they are doing good and hard. I was angry to see my normally conservative representative voted for this. Shame on him.

Many of the names listed are thinking it's a free vote in that it won't pass. It's not like the Dems can use it against them. If they try these become "people of conscience" and all that rot. However, some may find it is useful for any primary opponents.

Seven boneheads from Pennsylvania voted for this atrocity even though an anti-gun stance by Toomey is what killed his career. They never learn. Americans have learned by now that firearms are the only thing standing between them and complete tyranny so those forbidden from owning them or carrying them will have developed effective ways to store them for the time that they are needed. Freedom trumps dictatorial laws.

First the DC mob has to find the weapons...Americans are not stupid...remember during obama's rein when the government bought all the ammunition they could find...didn't stop Americans from getting what they needed...this ongoing assault on our second amendment has been going on for years...as soon as President Trump is back in the Oval Office...all the damage will be undone...

#29 made a very good point. States already have flag laws, but if they become federal, guns can be taken by the same forces who had so much success at Waco and Ruby Ridge.

Three from Indiana -- Jim Banks, James Baird and Trey Hollingsworth.
I voted for Trey Hollingsworth because he ran against a left wing female lawyer Democrat. Trey is not as conservative as I would like. When he first ran in the primary, I voted against him. Very disgusted.
Banks I thought was conservative.
I can only hope someone runs against them in the Primary. There is a libertarian that might run against Hollingsworth in the general and which might be an option.
Yes the Republicans called again asking for a donation -- they called last week too. Both times I told them not to call again. I'm only giving directly to candidates who I support.
