The secret behind the Haitians who have turned up in Del Rio, Texas is that they didn't migrate from Haiti at all but from Chile, where they had been granted asylum and were working and living comfortably as refugees. The dozens of Chilean identity cards that litter the ground in Ciudad Acuna, just across the Rio Grande from Del Rio, all bear distinctly non-Hispanic names. There is Prosper Pierre for instance, or Linode Lafleur or Eddyson Jean-Charles. None of the cards carries a name such as Gonzalez or Muñoz or Rojas.(Snip)'As one put it to me, "I love Chile, it's 1,000 times better than Haiti,"

I kept feeling something was off with this situation. I couldn't imagine Haitians loading up on planes in Haiti and being dumped by the Rio Grande. Now it makes sense. They just walked or rode from Chile. I bet they wish they'd never left.

Too bad we now have to depend on foreign newspapers (even tacky ones like the UK Daily Mail) to get the real stories behind the news.
Question #1: do their "headline" writers get paid by the word or the paragraph?

FTA: "'When Biden got in, word went out and they decided, we're coming now. That was the decision point. I've interviewed 60 to 70 Haitians over the last year and it's always the same story – Joe Biden opened the border so we decided we could upgrade our lifestyle."
Bullshtuff! 15,000 Haitians showing up in Mexico and crossing into Del Rio is not a mall flash mob dancing to "Thriller". Someone out there is organizing this exodus from South America...so who is it? My eye is on Catholic Charities and allied groups. Whoever it is, they are common coyotes on steroids, and I'm guessing they are doing such with the full cooperation of the US government, until it blew up on them. This is a criminal conspiracy...but who is investigating? Not the government. Not the media. Where is the State of Texas? Valverde County? The county and city of Del Rio ought to be suing someone for the expense of this fiasco, at least. But, we know, they are "powerless". Yeah.

It’s a long trek from Chile to Texas. They sure as heck didn’t walk. They are not political refugees but immigrants seeking the freebies offered by the U.S. If only our political class was as concerned about actual American citizens.
We are becoming nothing more than serfs toiling to pay the King’s taxes.

They were "working" in Chile.
They know they will not have to work here. The Gubmint will take care of them.

This article claims they came to Del Rio because the Los Zetos do not charge...many interviewed have stated that the "Charge" was to be brought from Chile/Argentina and it was $12,000. That means the people under the bridge spent $180 MILLION to get there.
"They are desperate poor people"...uhm...I do not have a spare $12,000 to take a trip anywhere, do you?
To qualify as a "Refugee", you cannot have refugee status in any other country, and you must apply in the FIRST safe country that you arrive to. The problem is the TPS program(temporary protected status) the Haitians were included since July 23, 2011; in response to the 2010 Haiti earthquake temporary protected status was scheduled to terminate as of January 2, 2020. The Law is written to have Protected status ONLY last for from 6 months to 18 Months, but allows for "Extensions". Some people have been getting "Extensions" since 1990.The Law specifically barrs all TPS people from EVER achieving green card status, or permanent status, cannot use it as a pathway to actual citizenship.Dems currently are trying to grant "Legal" status to all the 300,000 TPS refugees, from a dozen countries, in the $3.5TrillonOmnibus/Reconciliation package they want to cram through on a simple party line vote.(They also tried to inject it into the 2017 Immigration bill, Trumps NO! response led to a thousand media stories about 'sh--hole' countries)

#7 - I have not seen the interviews saying the charge was $12k to get to the USA. BTW: The average annual household income of Chile is around $8,000, and $5,000 in Brazil. The story of $12,000 per is hardly believable without some fairy godmothers/fathers out there with deep pockets and a purpose.
And one asks, where are the Mexican authorities. Do these folks all have visas? Of course not. What was their Mexican port of entry? Who arranged it? Who facilitated with the Mexican government? This escapade has the fingerprints of NGOs on it. Now, who are they?
