Just because the buttons on the GOP vending machine say Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Fanta and Root Beer, doesn’t mean the machine slots are filled with anything except diet ginger ale. Cue the audio visual demonstration….
WASHINGTON – […] The National Republican Redistricting Trust (NRRT), in an announcement shared first with Fox News, said that former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will serve as national co-chairs of the organization, with longtime GOP strategist Karl Rove joining the group in the role of senior adviser.
NRRT president and executive director Adam Kincaid highlighted that Pompeo and Christie “will be tremendous assets as we raise

"NRRT president and executive director Adam Kincaid highlighted that Pompeo and Christie “will be tremendous assets". Delete the letter "t" from the word assets and you get to the truth.

Good lord, what is wrong with so-called Republican leadership? Chris Christie and Karl Rove? Haven’t they had their snouts in the DC trough long enough? Let them try getting a real job….produce something worthwhile, drive a truck to deliver food products to grocers? Sheesh.

Another RINO, Chris "Cholesterol" Christie, wanting attention to feed his massive ego. It shouldn't be long before he starts to bash DJT.

OK, while all three are establishment members, I am not sure that their interests and the interests of conservatives will diverge by very much when it comes to redistricting. However, I do not trust them and their actions should be watched very carefully to see that they are not actively working against conservative interests (because I do believe that they can be easily convinced that sacrificing some of their own interests in order to weaken conservatives is their best move).

Ironic that two stories up is posted a good article on the problem with "stopping" when losing. These guys are the ultimate in status-quo. If Romney didn't already have a job they'd probably add him to the group. "tremendous assets"? You mean they will siphon tremendous assets into their own bank accounts!

Setting the stage to lose. This is why one cannot change the Republican party. Internal machinations are not subject and do not care what the base wants. In fact, the base is only viewed and given lip service and empty promises when it's time to ask for money and votes.

I think #10 summed it up for me. We will suffer more losses until more realize the GOP Bush Republicans have control of the party. They do not care what MAGA conservatives want any more than Bush I cared what promises were made to Reagan conservatives so we would vote for HIM.

OMG! Somebody who can communicate with Secretary Pompeo please, please, please let the Secretary know that when (then) NJ Governor Christie had the opportunity to change the 2010 Congressional Districts, he blew it, by selecting the majority person (a Democrat) on the Committee, leaving our state to suffer for these last ten years because he gerrymandered these Districts to make them easier for Democrat nominees to win their Districts.

I thought Mike Pompeo was one of the good guys. Is he showing his true colors or is the Deep State tossing him in there to lend a thin veneer of respectability to this sham group ?
As far as redistricting goes I don’t trust the republican party and I particularly don’t trust this group. Here in Colorado our “non-partisan” redistricting commission is all set to gerrymander Lauren Boebert out of her congressional seat and I have not heard a peep out of our rino party.

While they're at it, since this whole exercise is a numbers game based on population and registration status, let's ensure they demand voter registration rolls are cleaned up FIRST.
When you see democrats arguing against it, you know they are using the fuzzy registration rolls in some way that's not beneficial to Republicans.
However, most people are decent and want fair and honest elections, so this line of action should resonate, and be easy to understand for most people.
Think about how many have moved from New York, Illinois and California alone, then add how many have died.
California alone has had over 500,000 people move out, and I've heard reports of 700,000+.

Not sure why Pompeo would be involved with the other two RINOs, but it will go over about as well as the "new Coke" idea.

They're going to try to keep shoving it down our throats. Forget it, we're not interested. I will not vote for these type men, I won't vote at all. It wouldn't matter if I did, predetermined results. Not playing their sick game anymore.

Uh, I beg to differ. Conservatives will never again in their lifetimes support somebody just because he has an "R" going for him. That ended with George Bush. The only thing "R" means now is "Not D" and that is not a guarantee of anything.

There is only one way to get the GOP's attention, even a 2 x 4 across the skull will no longer do it. Stop the donations. Let them know that your money is not an automatic gift and an entitlement to whomever is running. We want a person of substance and our primary choice won in both 2016 and 2020. My latest solicitation e-mails are insulting and are worded like billing notices. Ronna must have hired some real dunces lately. (Didn't you get our last e-mail?) Yes, moron, I ignored it, just like I'm ignoring this one.

It's irrelevant in PA anyway. The Democrat Supreme Court now handles redistricting here, regardless of Republican majorities in the legislature.

What authority will these losers have over state legislators? Isn't this more a PR group? LA isn't getting any new seats but the Rebublicans could, if desired, make the current quota district more competitive. Why would they need RINOS to help them make minor adjustments to make the current quota squirm?
