Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska, recently announced that she may return to the political arena, this time in a bid for Senate in 2022 against incumbent Lisa Murkowski.'If God wants me to do it I will,' Palin told a conservative Christian crowd on July 22 in Pasadena, California, after New Apostolic Reformation leader Ché Ahn asked her if she was planning on running for the Senate seat. 'What I would do if I were to announce is say you know what, you guys better be there for me this time because a lot of people weren't there for me last time

Oh, Sarah.... really? “If God wants me to do it...” How about if YOU want to do it? And don’t hector a bunch of conservative Christians about not “being there” for you in 2008. What have you done since then?
Honey, your “sell-by” date was ten years ago. Go home and try to patch up your disintegrating family.

#2, Do you speak for everyone in Alaska? McCain lost the 2008 election, Sarah at least gave the campaign it a spark of life, When you are viciously attacked by the media and Hollywood, you know you are over the target. Run Sarah run, I don't know about God, but I want you to.

Me too, #3. I did not vote for McCain. I voted for Sarah and he just happened to be on the same ticket.

Thank God #2 doesn’t speak for God-fearing conservative Republicans in Alaska. They fight a combination of Bush globalists, outright RINOS and Democrats for control of their state just as we are doing in Alaska. It ain’t easy but the fighters are rising up there too.
I know ministers who attended this conference. They sent me pics of the still-lovely former Governor. They spent time with her at meals. Her sentiments were very welcomed and very well-received. She told the truth. God may not be done with Sarah politically. It makes me smile to think of the GOPe having to deal with Trump AND Sarah Palin AGAIN!

Sarah plain, the only person who quits being Governor after two years. Nope, we don’t need another loser. Murkowski will get re-elected if Palomar is the opposition’s choice. Alaskans think she is a flake. Her white trash family hasn’t done her any favors either.
The kool aid drinkers setting up another fail. Any decent repub will beat Lisa. Except palin.

Is it me, or has Lucianne been infested with some nasty trolls over the past 6 months or so? Maybe, I’m just getting old and crabby, and out of patience.

There is already a good Republican candidate in the primary against Murkowski. If Sarah gets in, she splits the vote and Murkowski gets re-elected again. Do not do it, Sarah.

Whether Sarah Palin decides to run for the Senate or not is up to her. But since no one mentioned it, but only expressed disapproval of Palin quitting after only two years as Gov. of Alaska, does anyone know why she quit? It was because her anti-conservative enemies were suing the state of Alaska, and she knew they didn't have the finances to keep countersuing. She's NOT a quitter, she thought of the fiscal disaster the anti-conservatives were causing Alaska!!

I would rather have Sarah put whatever influence she still has behind a verified conservative to decisively stomp Murkowski in both the primary and the general elections. There are too many folks who hold her stepping down as Governor against her, even though she left a fairly decent (okay, a pretty moderate, but relatively decent) lieutenant governor to step into her shoes. I know staunch conservatives and moderates who would never, never vote for her again because of this one point. My feeling is she was between a rock and a hard place, by getting bombarded with frivolous lawsuits, and her staff were ALSO getting drug through the wringer backwards with lawsuits. Besides costing them terribly high legal fees, she and her staff were impeded from doing their jobs because of individuals and groups from both in and outside of the state taking up their time in responding to these ridiculous lawsuits. Our state laws at the time offered no protection for Sarah and her staff; I don't know if that's changed. But at that time, anyone could file a suit against her or her staff with no "loser pays" type of repercussion. Amazingly enough, after she stepped down, the asinine lawsuits dried up. What was so vital that suits were brought suddenly became not so important; showing that the true purpose was to hinder the administration.
Regardless of whether or not you view Sarah as a quitter, she has also made some choices to keep in the public eye (and make some money) by being involved in some shows that lost her respect with some folks.
Somehow ranked voting got barely passed in our last election (argh!), so we need to have a decisive victory over Murkowski in the primary and the general. My bottom line is that Sarah has enough influence to help whomever she chooses to endorse and she should show conservative supporters and non-supporters that she has the wisdom to not muddy the waters or split the vote, allowing halibut-face Murkowski to sleaze her way into re-election.

Thank you, #16. I thought she did what was best for the taxpayers of her state, having nothing to do with personal reasons.
I have to wonder if those with such negativity towards her never cared for her in the first place. I'll always maintain that she is the sole reason many R's pulled the lever for McCain.

If she does indeed run again, she better be extremely well funded. The left knows how to get rid of her. Sue her until she leaves. She does not have the money to fight lawsuits. the strategy worked before so the left will definitely try it again.
I wish her all the luck. She comes down on the right side of practically all issues which explains why the long knives come out for her whenever she is mentioned. Alot of ways she is basically Trump without the money.

I don't know why she would want to put herself through this again. The left would treat her just as bad as Trump. If she is going to do this, she has to be Trump tough, because they will do everything in their power to destroy her just because they didn't complete the task the first time, and they hate her with every fiber of their soulless being.

#14 wins the day. She is totally correct. We can't have more than one good candidate in the race or Murkowski will win again. NO ONE else besides the current opponent should run. Pick some other slot to fill Sarah.
