Biden in Deep Trouble as Optimism About
Country's Direction Takes a Dive

Original Article

We reported yesterday on how Joe Biden’s approval is dropping and the honeymoon appears over. He’s at his lowest numbers now at just 50% approval and 45% disapproval. Of course, he started out with big media support so that drop is more noticeable. But now, there are more numbers to support that concern and they have to be worrying Democrats. After six months of Biden, sounds like people have started to figure out that it isn’t what was pitched to them and they’re not happy. Their optimism about the direction of the country has plummeted almost 20 points since May

The RCP average is 52.5 percent approval for Biden. A +9.0 point spread. The average includes a 59 from The Hill, who has never shown Biden below 58. The Hill “poll” is a consistent outlier.

Biden isn't in any kind of trouble. He will continue to occupy the White House for another 41 months. Unless he assumes room temperature or the 25th amendment is exercised first. Its the treasoncrat grip on power thats in trouble. And they still have another 17 months to muck it up. Is it any wonder they are desperate to stop election integrity laws, end the filibuster, nationalize elections and silence dissent?

The White House on Monday offered vocal support for vaccine mandates, arguing they were meant to keep Americans safe from the coronavirus. “I would say though that mandates, as is evidenced by the Hospital Association’s, those are meant to keep people safe around the country,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said. The American Hospital Association publicly backed vaccine mandates for hospital and healthcare workers last Thursday, an idea that over 50 medical groups endorsed in a joint statement Monday. When pressed on the idea of vaccine mandates for medical workers

C-Span is going to be running a series on the Capitol riot with interviews from 14 different members of Congress. They’re literally trying to stretch it out like it’s a TV series. I wonder if they have one for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and what she went through in her office a quarter of a mile away? The first clip that I’ve seen involves an interview with Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK). He explains how he hugged the Capitol Police officer who shot Ashli Babbitt and told him that he “did what he had to.” From a legal and factual point of view, there are big problems with that statement

We would not be having this conversation,” Kaplan said. Kaplan, who has launched an email list, set up meetings with state legislators

It seems as if every day we see another slew of headlines about the Delta variant and “resurgence” of the virus in this or that place. In reality, even some of these surges involve a number of new positive tests that are still vastly lower than during the height of the pandemic last winter. Still, there are cities that are bringing back mask mandates and complaining loudly about the slow vaccination rates. These complaints are being picked up in the liberal media, with the vast majority of the blame being cast at a predictable group: white, Republican Trump voters.

GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy may finally be fed up with the political machinations of Liz Cheney. Today, when asked about the situation involving Cheney joining forces with Nancy Pelosi for a January 6th select committee, McCarthy said he couldn’t remember the last time he had talked to her, and called her a “Pelosi Republican.” Apparently, he was also talking about Adam Kinzinger, but honestly, who cares? That represents another escalation between Cheney and the party she is ostensibly still a part of, and it appears clear that there’s no repairing this relationship.

Jen Psaki admitted today that they are in “active discussion” with states about the possibility of reinstating mask mandates because of the rise of the Delta variant. On top of that, she said that because of the variant, they would be keeping restrictions in place on people who want to travel into the United States, claiming there was a surge among the “unvaccinated.” That’s infuriating the Europeans who want or need to travel here, and Americans who have family there who are unable to come here. The White House is taking that position — talking about once again restricting Americans and preventing legal travel into the United States

James could release details of her investigation into whether Cuomo sexually harassed nine women before the end of the summer, something the governor’s office seems to believe is becoming more political by the day. Cuomo senior adviser Richard Azzopardi told The New York Times last week, “the continued leaks are more evidence of the transparent political motivation of the attorney general’s review.” A rather curious statement since Cuomo asked James to look into the allegations while promising cooperation

I don’t know. That covers a lot of territory. But if we limit the inquiry to very famous Democrats, the answer might be Andrew Cuomo and Hunter Biden. They have much in common. Both are sons of very famous fathers. Neither, in all likelihood, would have become prominent but for what their fathers accomplished. That’s certainly the case with Hunter Biden. Both are the subject of sex scandals, albeit of somewhat different sorts. Andrew Cuomo has been accused of sexual harassment by several women who worked in his administration. Nancy Pelosi used to point her angry finger at Donald Trump, but she leaves him for dust when it comes to busting norms, dividing Congress and causing mayhem. If anyone is to blame for the hyper-partisanship in Washington these days, it’s the spiteful House speaker. She behaves more like a Mafia don waging a gang war than a dignified, fair and honest presiding officer, which is what the speaker’s role requires. Pelosi abuses her power in ways that once were unthinkable. Her speakership has been the antithesis of Lincoln’s entreaty to “the better angels of our nature.”
