CBS News captured video of this brief but very bizarre and disturbing exchange between Joe Biden and a reporter. The reporter asks Biden if any Democrats support defunding the police, after he insisted that none do. Which is an obvious lie, since Democrats did defund police in many cities and many Democrats in Congress continue to support defunding the police. Biden’s response is attracting attention. A savvy pol who had his wits about him would use the opportunity to distance himself from the defund radicals whose policies are contributing to spiking murder rates across the country — actually killing people — and present himself as a sensible moderate

The woke NBCUniversal broadcasted a woke Olympics Opening Ceremony on Friday, and the verdict is in: the display was “depressing as hell,” a Daily Beast headline screamed.
Corporate media has been quick to trash the Tokyo Olympics opener as a somber production performed to a “sea of empty seats,” which is a striking departure from descriptions of colorful and bombastic opening ceremonies in Olympics’ past. The nearly four-hour long NBCUniversal broadcast leaned “chillingly more Death Star than Panhellenic” from a “virtually locked down Tokyo” which was a “made for TV event in almost all the worst ways,”
Hundreds of Japanese citizens furious that the Olympics are still being held despite the coronavirus crisis gathered to protest outside the opening ceremony in Tokyo on Friday.
According to the New York Daily News, the protesters paraded outside the Games about an hour before the ceremony kicked off and shut down a major roadway.
The shouts of “Go to hell IOC” and “Go to hell Olympics” were loud enough to be heard inside the National Stadium. The protesters waved banners and flags and claimed that the Olympics is a potential superspreader event.

Never mind that they precipitated a super spreader event – getting six of themselves sick with the Wuhan coronavirus and infecting who knows how many other people, but including at least one White House official and one Pelosi aide.
But what was actually quite humorous was how disturbed at least one of them was that Joe Biden wouldn’t meet with them.

He’s stumping with the Democrat candidate for governor in Virginia and joking (kinda) that the Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga “made it real clear” that he wanted Jill Biden, not him, in Tokyo. Joe thinks this kind of banter makes him look humble. Whatever. This is her first solo overseas trip since moving into the White House. Apparently, there are a lot of wardrobe changes.

A lifelong baseball fan, I abandoned the game this year after MLB sided with the Democratic Party in its campaign against ballot integrity in Georgia. It wasn’t just that: my home town team has put a “Black Lives Matter” sign and a memorial to George Floyd in right field. If I can’t escape politics at a baseball game, I’d rather go somewhere else. For the first time in decades, I haven’t seen a major league baseball game this year. Not only that, I haven’t watched or listened to a single pitch on radio or television.
Then there is football. Commissioner Roger Goodell is driving the sport in a “woke” direction.
One of Trump’s biggest achievements was shifting the balance of the formerly ultra-liberal 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. That’s paying dividends in regards to a ruling against California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who is facing a recall effort and has seen his star dim over the last month.
The court slapped down Newsom’s discriminatory and arbitrary shuttering of private schools, something he ostensibly did in response to the COVID pandemic. Oddly enough, rights don’t cease to exist just because politicians say so. This is a good ruling, in my view. No governor should have the right to shut down private schools, especially when the shuttering of those schools appears arbitrary
