Anticipating unrest after the jury delivers a verdict in former police officer Derek Chauvin’s trial for allegedly killing Minneapolis man George Floyd, Minneapolis Public Schools have announced that schools will return to remove learning at the end of next week.In an announcement on Friday, MPS Superintendent Ed Graff said that even though next week marks the first time in a year that in-person learning will be made available for middle-school students, schools would return to remote learning on Wednesday in preparation for the verdict.“Peaceful protests are one of the foundations of our democracy.

Just throw in the towel and stop pretending that you are in control. The mob has taken over.

I can then presume that closing schools for snow, sleet, hale, plague, pestilence & Global Warming will be a thing of the past.

A message to the jury: "Decide on the evidence and the law and YOU will be endangering our children. YOU will start a war in your neighborhoods. The risk of YOU not blindly bowing to our power is so dangerous that we need to close our schools to protect the children from YOU. PS: We know where you live. Now go pretend to be an impartial jury."

Somebody please ask Superintendent Graff, "If these coming protests are so "peaceful", then why the need to keep students safe"? Wouldn't they (and everyone else) be safe because everyone's so peaceful?

the "protesters" are, for the most part,
woke snowflake rich kids from the suburbs..

Well Minneapolis is clearly ALL about safety. It is so obvious; like one of those mostly peaceful protests they keep bragging about.

#7, the crime of murder requires intent, premeditated or otherwise. To establish that Derek Chauvin had intent, these questions have to be answered.
1. If this was an intentional infliction, what was Chauvin’s motive? Is there anything other than the reflexive cries of “racism!” that makes sense? And whatever his motive…
2. He was facing a large, hostile crowd. He could see he was being recorded from multiple angles. If this was an act of malice, why would he continue in front of so many witnesses? Did he seriously feel some sense of “privilege” that would let him get away with such flagrancy? If so…
3. He had to have known that the mayor was a spaghetti-spined liberal laddie, that the city council is a bunch of anti-police radicals, and that his own chief of police had to be a squish used to placating these bosses. How could Chauvin have expected to “get away” with any intentional or negligent deviation from procedure, knowing that these were the people who would be reviewing his actions?
Does it really make sense to assume he was inflicting intentional harm under these conditions?

This must mean that they are admitting that their peaceful social justice warriors are actually pose a danger to school children, and that those who are in authority will not protect the schools or students.

Gearing up for those wonderful summer time peaceful protests that feature Molotov cocktails, prestaged concrete objects for throwing at police on pallets, laser pointers, tear gas, and other objects for smashing business Windows, police
cars, and flammable materials to set businesses on fire with. Got to keep those kiddies safe.

When you let the racist thug mob rule the city, what choice do you have?!?!?!?
Whether the verdict is guilty or innocent, there will be rioting and looting and burning and general destruction. It's just a matter if that evil will be done for celebration or anger. So I know they don't have any choice but to protect the kids.
Until some Demon-Rat run city actually grows a pair of brass cajones and shuts down the racist thugs of BLM and Antifa, violence and anarchy will reign!!!!!
