Residents in a wealthy Atlanta community are trying to create their own police force as part of a push for secession as the city is rocked by a crime wave with murders up 80 percent so far this year. The Buckhead Exploratory Committee, made up of residents of the city's richest neighborhood of Buckhead, are looking to break away from the city in the wake of a surge in violent crime that has left people 'genuinely concerned for their safety.'(Snip) 'Residents must be wary and 'on guard' continuously, even when doing routine tasks like going to the gas station, nearby shopping mall,

President Joe Biden recognized the year-long anniversary of the coronavirus lockdowns on Thursday but urged Americans to continue obeying guidance from the federal government.“Put trust and faith in our government to fulfill its most important function, which is to protect the American people,” the president said.In his first primetime speech as president, Biden spoke about the punishing emotional toll of the coronavirus lockdowns but encouraged Americans to continue following all of the rules from health officials.“We need to remember that the government isn’t some foreign force in a distant capital,” he said. “No, it’s us. All of us.”

Joe Biden delivered his very first address as US President on the anniversary of the COVID lockdowns.Virtually no one tuned in to the White House’s YouTube channel to watch dementia Joe speak gibberish for 20 minutes.Joe Biden’s doom and gloom speech was not inspiring at all. He lied about Trump and threatened Americans with indefinite lockdowns if we don’t wear masks and maintain social distancing.Biden actually believes he has the authority to tell Americans who we can spend the Fourth of July with.

New York—For years, researchers have said a lack of diversity in Hollywood films doesn't just poorly reflect demographics, it's bad business. A new study by the consulting firm McKinsey & Company estimates just how much Hollywood is leaving on the table: $10 billion. The McKinsey report, released Thursday, analyzes how inequality shapes the industry and how much it ultimately costs its bottom line. The consulting firm deduced that the $148 billion film and TV industry loses $10 billion, or 7%, every year by undervaluing Black films, filmmakers and executives.(Snip) The BlackLight Collective, a coalition of Black executives and talent in the industry,

A former employee of Panda Express has filed a lawsuit against the company, claiming that it urged its employees to complete a training seminar in which she was forced to strip down to her underwear in front of other participants and subsequently hug a male participant who was also in his underwear, also in front of other participants. Panda Express has since issued a statement denying ownership or control of the seminar and insisting that it did not mandate attendance.
The lawsuit claims that some Panda Express employees were led to believe participating in the seminar would enhance their chances at promotion,

Joel Wertheimer took a job in Andrew Cuomo’s administration in February 2017, straight from his position in Barack Obama’s White House. He came on alongside almost 30 other new hires, many of whom had also worked for the outgoing president or on Hillary Clinton’s campaign and were seeking a progressive professional path through the Trump years. Some saw New York State government as a bulwark against what they feared Trumpism would bring. Others hoped it could be a laboratory for ideas that might become a model for federal policy.

Now that the implications of the Harris/Biden administration are setting in, my Democrat friends (yes, I do have a few) are becoming very embarrassed. They bought into the propaganda that all the turmoil in Washington was created by the erratic and immoral behavior of Donald Trump. Their vote for Harris/Biden was a vote to return to normal. They didn’t realize that the Democrats weren’t offering a return to normal, they were offering the establishment of a “new normal.” (snip) My friends are belatedly realizing that the turmoil was not created by Donald Trump. It was manufactured by the Democrats, simply to win an election.

Dictionary.com announced Thursday that it had added 600 new words to its collection, including many words relating to social justice preferences. The outlet’s article about the new words notes that it added 450 completely new entries along with 94 new definitions to existing entries, many of which have to do with the vocabulary surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.“Technical updates include revised definitions at acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS for short) and variants and strains, owing to new forms of the novel coronavirus. Modified social rituals like the elbow bump caught our attention, especially as the gesture evolved to include more forearm contact than the name implies,” the website wrote.

On Thursday night, a masked Biden tottered down a long, empty hall to a podium. He then gave the most bizarre presidential address in American history. After a grim recital of “facts” about the last year, Biden emphasized multiple times that Americans had better take the vaccine – and be grateful to him for his amazing ability to get the vaccine to Americans. He also insisted that, vaccines or not, the government’s in control and can lock all of us up all over again. (snip) Biden kept saying that he was going to tell the truth. (snip) Do you know who says things like that? Someone who’s lying.

Scientists have begun to lay plans for repopulation, starting with a sperm bank—on the moon. In what they’re calling a “modern global insurance policy,” mechanical engineers have proposed that humans establish a repository of reproductive cells—sperm and ova—from 6.7 million of Earth’s species, including humans. And the proposed bank, or “ark,” would be beneath the moon’s surface. As our planet faces natural disasters, drought, asteroids and the potential for nuclear war—to name a few troubles—scientists say that humans must set their sights on space travel to preserve life as we know it. “Earth is naturally a volatile environment,”

White and non-black people are being told not to share any of the numerous Oprah Winfrey memes from her bombshell interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle—because they are a form of 'digital blackface'. The Slow Factory Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to social and environmental justice, this week issues a warning about digital blackface, describing it as an online phenomenon where white and non-black people share GIFs and photos of black people to express emotion, and stating that it often perpetuates negative stereotypes that they are 'aggressive, loud, and sassy.'(Snip) Some praised the organization for raising awareness

Donald Trump has said he wants to settle political scores with the Washington establishment, and since he’s well-known among his supporters to keep his promises, it shouldn’t surprise anyone to know that he’s already hard at work keeping this one.Since emerging from the post-election, post-impeachment self-imposed exile, the former president has reentered the political field bigly with the intention of remaking as much of the political landscape in his image as possible. That largely means endorsing individual candidates for office, which we’re sure he’ll back up with personal appearances and rallies with candidates when the 2022 and 2024 elections draw nearer.
