Washington really is the last nakedly racist place in America. And the very face of this city’s institutional racism is President Biden himself.

Mr. Biden is living proof that no matter how dumb you are or how wrong you have always been or how many things you have screwed up, if you are just White enough and willing to wait around long enough accomplishing nothing, the kingship will eventually be yours.
This is a guy who had been rejected by voters — often in his own party — in his endless quest for the presidency many times during his five decades running his mouth in Washington.

The Wall Street Journal, owned by billionaire Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp., is banning its reporters from using the term “illegal immigrant” and “illegal” to refer to illegal aliens living in the United States.
This week, in an update its style guide, the Journal states that while it will allow reporters to continue using the term “illegal immigration” to describe the process of illegal aliens arriving and staying in the U.S., it will no longer permit reporters to describe individuals as “illegal” or “illegal immigrant” in an effort to stop “labeling people.”

I massively underestimated the impact of the Wuhan virus a year ago, both the health impact and more important, as it turned out, the consequences of the political response to the virus. This no doubt was due in part to the fact that I personally never had any fear of the Wuhan flu bug. So there have been a couple of times when I thought the Wuhan scare was nearly behind us. My track record isn’t very good, so you should take these comments with a grain of salt.

As we wrote about earlier, during his prime time address last night, Joe Biden thought he could tell Americans who could and could not get together on July 4th for a BBQ.
His Chief of Staff, Ron Klain, then doubled down on this goal, that the government hopes to let you gather, in small groups, by July 4th (despite having the other goal of having everyone vaccinated by May 1).
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) was among the many people who had something to say about Joe Biden’s suggestion that the government could tell us when and with whom to gather on July 4th. Or frankly, any day.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton threatened to sue the City of Austin Wednesday over the city’s continuation of a mask mandate. Governor Abbott removed the statewide mask mandate last week and his order went into effect Wednesday. Austin Mayor Steve Adler and Travis County Judge Andy Brown are keeping a mask mandate in effect until April 15 to “avoid another surge of cases.” I assume that the mayor and county judge (county CEO, not a judicial office) are concerned that newly free-to-be maskless Texans will throw caution to the wind. The Easter holiday is coming up and we are in the Spring Break season

On Thursday, a spokesperson for Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) told CNN and National Review that the moderate Democrat who has shown true fortitude in standing up to the radicals in his party will not be holding his own on one of President Joe Biden’s worst nominees. Manchin will support the nomination of Attorney General Xavier Becerra (D-Calif.) for secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).
This makes Becerra’s confirmation virtually certain, and that is a crying shame for America, on many levels.
First, Becerra has no medical experience and “little health policy experience.” This alone should raise alarm bells in a nominee for a key health position

On Thursday, President Joe Biden held out a promise of returning to normalcy amid the COVID-19 pandemic that perfectly encapsulates the depressing nature of his presidency. After meandering and dead boring remarks about the toll of COVID-19, the existence of drive-in vaccine centers, and the progress Biden’s administration has made in the past 50 days, the president got to the part of his speech that was clearly intended to be uplifting.
Instead, it will likely hit Americans like a ton of bricks.
In leading up to his grand vision of a restored America, Biden started to get a bit creepy.

As President Ronald Reagan famously said, “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the Government, and I'm here to help.” And yet that’s exactly what CNN and NBC praised President Biden for doing during his first primetime address on Thursday. Both liberal outlets showered the President with gooey adulations as they thanked him for the revival of their faith the twisted religion of big government.

Tonight, Joe Biden gave his first primetime address, and I could probably spend an entire article just riffing on his appearance. The man is not well, and that was once again obvious tonight. If one ever needed a visual for what being half-dead looks like, you got that in spades from this speech. Biden stood behind his podium, often slumped over, squinting to read his teleprompter’s massive font. He’s getting worse, and it’s a sad scene.
Regardless, there was also some semblance of substance to address regarding what he said. At one point, the president appeared to levy a fresh threat to re-lockdown the country if you don’t follow his rules.
