President Donald Trump announced late Tuesday night that he had pardoned and commuted the sentences of 143 people in the final hours of his presidency. The president issued 73 pardons and 70 commutations. The list included pop culture figures, including rappers Lil Wayne and Kodak Black, but also included many non-violent drug offenders. The president did not pardon Julian Assange or Edward Snowden, two whistleblowers that illegally shared America’s intelligence and national security secrets. The two individuals enjoyed bi-partisan support for a pardon as their supporters had hoped that the president would ignore the intelligence community elites and prominent members of Congress in Washington who were deeply opposed to a pardon.

Let be honest, not pardoning Assange and Snowden is a disgrace.

Fine with me. I trust his judgement and it's not like the Clintons didn't pardon criminals and terrorists.

If the coup kings and queens decide to prosecute these individuals anyway, who will stop them?

I thought President Trump would pardon Assange. I don't know why he didn't, but I trust President Trump and his judgement.

#2 it is my understanding that Trump wanted to pardon Assange and Snowden, but POS treasonous McConnell threatened him with conviction of the impeachment.

Tucker Carlson reported last night that if Assange and Kiriakou were not pardoned, Cocaine Mitch would not proceed with the impeachment. Kiriakou is still in prison. I'm not familiar with him or what he did, but Tucker said he and Assange revealed the truth to the American people.

From my point of view, I want to keep the President on the back burner for a 2024 run if he feels he is up to it at age 78. By pardoning people like Assange and Snowden, this would cause voters to take pause in supporting him again. As it is, the capitol building break-in would be warmed over by the left to further destroy him. However, by then, the dims will have created such a rage over the socialization of the country that many dim voter will turn on them that even 2024-vintage election fraud can't overcome. More importantly, the Aftershock will most certainly have stricken America by then and hungry out of work and broke Americans will be handing the dims their heads on a platter.

Assange was a bit of a creep but didn't deserve the hell he has been put through already. Snowden showed up the NSA for the perverted little peepers that they are.

PDT has been preceded and succeeded by criminal fraudsters. This is prudent precaution.

So many of these pardons and commutations were for the oversentenced and / or non-violent crimes where the person has genuinely repented. I noted the pardon granted to a group of WellCare executives who were hounded out on specious charges starting under Bush and then under Obama. And BRAVO to the two pardons given to Steve Bannon and the other witchhunted person.

Assange should have been pardoned but not Snowden. And it's not over yet.

At the end of the day....WE must trust President Trump's judgment...he always has a plan in place....I am reminded of what chuckie schummer said... when President Trump took office... about... don't mess with the intelligence community... they can get you in a hundred ways... or words to that effect... this list of pardons only proves that point...as to his family not getting pardoned...the lefties will be out in fresh air now if they persecute the Trump family...no amount of censorship of the news from obama/biden will be hidden...especially since the media has no one to torment now....whatever will they do?

There's a great (satire) post by Babylonbee criticizing Republicans as so dumb, they rioted in DC and didn't get any wide screen TVs.
I'll bet Trump is like that... 143 pardons and no big cash payouts in return.

Possible he left a letter with further pardons/actions in safe hands or location, to be opened after impeachment trial?

This goes against the grain, but the link between Manning (stole classified files in a theater of war).and Snowden (took USBs and laptops out of a SCIF and then defected to Russia) is none other than Assange. None of them deserve a pardon.
