President Trump on Wednesday fully pardoned his former national security adviser Michael Flynn, bringing to end a tumultuous four-year criminal case that felled the three-star general before prosecutors reversed course and declared they had improperly pursued his prosecution.(Snip)Trump informed the general and his lawyer Sidney Powell of the decision Wednesday afternoon, ahead of the Thanksgiving Day. Flynn was elated by the news and the two men talked "like they had never missed a day since the campaign or early White House days," an eyewitness told Just the News.

Why do I think this is about needing to lift Flynn’s gag order?

I understand the reason behind the pardon, but this should not have been necessary. "Judge" Sullivan was ordered by the appeals court to dismiss the case, but three months later nothing has happened. Sullivan should be impeached and removed.

The case still need to be dismissed, lest Judge Sullivan decides to jail Gen. Flynn for "lying to the Court." Only dismissal will deprive him of jurisdiction.

Good news for the general. He is wholly innocent. About time. But not so good for us. Trump and Flynn will move on. We are stuck with the rotten corrupt justice system that made this necessary. What if someone who does not have the General's connection gets trampled on?

Not sure that this is good news. It may preclude the massive lawsuits that needed to be filed by Flynn for damages.
I trust it was discussed with the appropriate civil lawyers to make sure it was the right choice for Gen. Flynn.
Nonetheless, having worked in the criminal justice system much of my life, I am very saddened at what it has become. The FBI and DOJ are truly horrific examples of justice lately. Never thought I would see the day...

It seems to me that President Trump can get a lot done during President-elect Biden's short term.

It was the right thing to do. President Trump doesn't need to be schooled on the right thing to do. He just does it!

That's great. Pardon Manafort next. Manafort didn't do anything wrong to the magnitude he has been persecuted. And there was no black book from Ukraine, other than the one made up by those wanting to do him in.

I know #5 but it has been clear for some time now that Judge Sullivan is protected by the Deep State. There was going to be NO justice by normal means for General Flynn.

Does Gen Flynn still have a civil case against a whole lot of folks who obviously acted far beyond their legal duties (for example, the civil suit of Flynn vs Comey, et al)? He may not have the stomach for it, but he deserves every dollar and pound of flesh he and his attorneys can extract from these criminals.

The full pardon was justified and President Trump displayed class by issuing it in the middle of the ongoing at attempt to steal the election.
The full measure of justice would be for General Flynn to be made whole financially. The despicable practice of using literally unlimited taxpayer funded attacks to force the accused party to bankrupt himself or confess to a "crime" he did not commit should be abolished.
Even if it means using taxpayer money to make Flynn whole, we should do it. It would be a drop in the bucket compared to the sums government wastes on far less important matter every day.
