Chuck Todd: The Michigan Supreme
Court Did Not “Cite Any Law” In Ruling
Whitmer’s Actions Unconstitutional

Original Article

Chuck Todd interviewed Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer this morning and turned to the recent decision of the Michigan Supreme Court that ruled that she had violated the Michigan Constitution in her extended pandemic orders. Todd did not challenge Whitmer stating falsely that the opinion was a “partisan” decision. It was not. The “Democrat justices” agreed that Whitmer violated the Constitution. They only disagreed on the remedy. However, that untruth was quickly lost in what was a flagrantly untrue statement by Todd himself. He told NBC viewers that the justices did not cite any law to support their decision against Whitmer.

Todd is a little man who thinks he is special. He never finished college but came ahead working for Democrats. How would he know the law since he is one of a few in Washington who did not get a law degree. His wife works for the Democrats and Progressives. He is a political hack for the Democrats. With that background, why would a smart man like Turley surprised at Todd's lack of knowledge or his bias.

Even when I vow to watch and listen to the opposition to understand what they are doing and saying, I cannot abide Chuck Todd for even a few minutes. That nose in the air persona is such a turn-off. Why does he hold his head in that way? And the smug facial expressions belie any pretense of fair commentary. He's a poseur and a liar.

Todd isn't a lawyer but he plays one (very badly) on TV. It is shocking how these media clowns declare ridiculous false hoods. Do they think the only people listening to them are Leftist fanatics who will believe ANYTHING bad about Conservatives and especially Trump? Most of those folks border on delusional. However, many others are listening as well, even though we KNOW they are liars and propagandists. What results is a complete destruction of their credibility in any reasonable forum. If they want to babble to Leftists, OK. Will NBC follow them as they flush themselves? That's OK too. There have always been kooks representing marginal thinking in the public domain. We have free speech and thought. The problem has been that the broadcast networks, cable news, and many newspapers have been masquerading as "main stream", "unbiased" reporters. It has become obvious, thanks to Trump, that they are anything but.

The Constitution is the base document upon all our laws should be founded. If an action by a government official is found to be unconstitutional, no other law is needed.

So, the question is, again, is he so stupid/ignorant that he actually believes his story, or does he know that he is lying and think that we are so stupid/ignorant that we won't know that he is lying? Always the way with Dems. Stupid or lying. It seems in many case it is both.

Paris climate treaty

Here we are in the midst of a once-in-a-half-century pandemic, with the economy flattened, millions of people unemployed, and unrest on the streets of our cities. And President-elect Joe Biden says that one of his highest priorities as president will be to reenter the Paris climate accord. President Trump kept his "put America first" promise and pulled the United States out of this Obama-era treaty. Biden wants us back in. Why? Paris is an unmitigated failure. You don't have to take my word for it. National Geographic, a supporter of climate change action, recently ran the numbers and admitted in its recent headline: "Most countries aren't hitting 2030 climate goals."

Teachers unions have been instrumental in keeping American schools online during the pandemic. But some have escalated their positions on reopening to include an array of social justice demands. A set of demands from teachers unions in July, which addressed how to safely reopen schools amid a pandemic, was criticized by The Wall Street Journal editorial board as “political extortion.” The board argued that unions were taking advantage of a health crisis to advance their own ideological agendas and to eliminate competition from charter schools.

Why do we do this to ourselves every four years? We talk incessantly about the latest poll in Florida and Michigan and Pennsylvania and Arizona until we are blue in the face. Then they turn out to be wildly wrong. When will we ever learn? It reminds me of that old saying which I think was from Einstein, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.” Polling, at least the old-school style, is over. Done. I don’t need to go through a long list of reasons why nobody should take pollsters seriously anymore, but a few data points are instructive.
Implications of the Flynn Pardon 11 replies

President Trump granted a pardon to Michael Flynn, his former national-security adviser, today. Flynn had pled guilty to lying to FBI agents about conversations, during the 2016 transition, with the Russian ambassador about sanctions. Flynn’s pardon should bring to an end one gross violation of the Constitution’s separation of powers, even as it gives rise to groundless accusations of another. Although Flynn had pled guilty, the circumstances of the case had raised serious concerns about whether the government had proceeded properly. The FBI, for example, questioned Flynn even though it did not appear he had violated any law. In May, Attorney General William Barr ordered the case dropped.

Minnesota is one of a number of states that are living under what amounts to martial law. Our proto-fascist dictator Tim Walz, in his latest edict, purports to ban traditional Thanksgiving get-togethers: Saturday, Nov. 21 through Friday, Dec. 18, Executive Order 20-99 requires all Minnesotans to: * Limit social gatherings to one household. * Not gather outside of your household. * Postpone all celebrations, events, receptions, and parties, including any social gatherings for weddings and funerals. So it is “illegal” for me to invite any of my four kids to Thanksgiving dinner.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday night blocked New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo from reimposing strict attendance caps at worship services in areas hit hard by the novel coronavirus. The court ruled 5-4 to bar Cuomo from enforcing his Oct. 6 “Cluster Initiative” against houses of worship that sued to challenge the restrictions. The order was also the first in which Justice Amy Coney Barrett played a decisive role. Barrett, who was President Trump's third Supreme Court nominee, joined the court Oct. 27, after winning Senate confirmation following the Sept. 18 death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
