The tables have turned. Amy Coney Barrett, President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, continued to impress Americans on the third day of her confirmation hearing. Even Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), who notoriously attacked Barrett for the “dogma” living “loudly” within her in 2017, said, “I’m really impressed.”
Barrett also deftly responded to Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), the Democratic nominee for vice president, when she tried to trap the nominee in questions about climate change.

A message to all the US senators who are considering voting against confirming Judge Barrett
(with apologies to Rogers and Hammerstein):
A justice with seven children
What's so fearsome about that
Oh you must stop these doubts all these worries
If you don't we'll just know you're a hack
You must dream of the things we are seeking
We are seeking the courage you lack
The courage to serve us with reliance
Confirm Trump judges with defiance
Show us you're worthy
And while you're voting
You'll show them!
A better lyricist than me can pick up the words from that point...we have "confidence" that ACB will become a truly remarkable justice.

I saw this exchange. Harris was unbelievably obvious and stupid. Barrett was smiling as she defused the bomb.

It has been interesting watching the dullards of the Senate try and match wits with one of the country's great legal minds.

Barrett is the smartest person in the room. Smarter by far, than any of the ones asking the questions!

Kamala was still reading her questions. She never looked up once to look Judge Amy in the eye. the Judge actually put her in her place. Kamala should have bowed out of the "hearing" because by going, she made herself look really bad.

whether you knew it or not, you people were watching a dishonest prosecutor yesterday in Kamala sutra, the big nosed broad from everywhere but the *USA.
dishonest prosecutors, with traps in their questions, can convict innocent people.
when I watch and listen to Senator Big Nose, I feel the need to take a shower.

Kamala's strategy of not attending the hearing in person definitely backfired on her. The fact she was nervously just reading a teleprompter and not able to engage in impromptu exchanges made her look even more unprepared and dumber than normal. Barrett clearly got the better of her and diminished Harris's stature even further.

Judge Barrett should have a tin of cookies on the desk. She can hand one to each Democrat Senator after their questioning. Have a cookie it will make you feel better Kamala.

Policy based on junk science-- one of the greatest answers possible!
"I will not express a view on a matter of public policy, especially one that is politically controversial, because that’s inconsistent with the judicial role, as I’ve explained,”
Heels Up Lala failed bigly with that line of questioning--

To say I was impressed with ACB is a huge understatement. She is probably the smartest legal scholar in the country. The buffoons in the Senate couldn’t even begin to conquer this extraordinary woman.

O'Neil calls her unflappable. That means she isn't easily upset. I would call her brilliant. She is thinking ten steps ahead of everyone in the room. There is no reason to be upset because she already knows what they are going to do and how to handle them. You can be sure she watched the Gorsuch and Kavanaugh hearings. She KNOWS these people and she has plans how to handle each one of them and all the questions they could possibly ask.
Many people this smart and clever would build up an ego. Yet she sits there composed and respectful. Once in a great while a smile sneaks out. Underneath the seriousness and tension, she is a happy person and is, by her nature, immune to their petty games.
She is going to make a spectacular justice and at her age she could be with us for 30 years or more. I suspect between Thomas and her, they may even drag Roberts out of the shadows and into the light. I don't think he will enjoy being a Chief Justice always in the minority.

Clearly, the same group of morons who prepped Harris for her pitiful debate performance prepped her for the Barrett hearings. Great job, idiots.

Harris pulled her usual rude “questioning”:
“Do you accept that smoking causes cancer?” Harris pressed.
“I’m not sure exactly where you’re going with this…” Barrett responded.
Harris cut her off. “The question is what it is, you can answer it… yes or no.”
“Senator Harris, yes, every package of cigarettes warns that smoking causes cancer,” Barrett responded.
The impatient cut-off. The demand for “yes or no”. About then I’d love to smack her smug, supercilious face.

Harris’s choice for how she attended the hearing really backfired. She looked awful. And she sounded as though she was broadcasting from inside a 55 gallon drum.

I hope Harris is a dirty footnote in US history, but she is a prime example of how absolutely insane rats are these days. Many of them will vote for anyone, ignoring the fact that if somehow Harris was a Republican, they would rip her apart and she would not be elected to anything.

In addition to being stupid, Harris was also rude. She had to read instead of asking the questions without looking at notes, then, when she couldn’t get the answers she wanted, she closed by not saying anything to Amy. She just cut her off without letting her reply. At least some of the other dumb democrats were a little more respectful.
