Sen. Mitt Romney is leading a bipartisan group of senators in an effort to curb President Trump’s ability to remove troops from Germany after the commander-in-chief opted to withdraw tens of thousands of US soldiers from the region. Romney (R-Utah) introduced a measure Monday alongside Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Chris Coons (D-Del.), Tim Kaine (D-Va.) and Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) prohibiting the White House from reducing the number of active-duty troops in the country below 34,500 without Congress confirming that such a move would not negatively impact European alliances or NATO. The butt hurt is strong with this one.
Trump played Mutt for an apologetic fool, then embarrassingly mocked and threw him away like a needle-tracked hooker fluffing for $10 and a bag of chips at a truck stop.
Mitt is scorned, and willing to discard his dignity in his quest for all-out sell-out. This will end very badly for this carpetbagging Judas

Former Manhattan real estate developer President Donald Trump is now offering additional rent free space in Mitt Romney's head. His listing notes that the space comes festooned with posters and paraphernalia from multiple failed political campaigns but is otherwise unfurnished.

Our military have been stationed in Germany since WWII paying for their protection. Merkel won't even pony up her 2% for Nato. It'll cost GE more than 2% to come up with their own military which is what she's whinning about. Enough of siphoning off our tax money for them. Bring the troops home.

Have the three stooges asked their constituents how we feel about their efforts? When the dragging takes place, please grab these three first.

Ridiculous that we have so many troops (any troops?) in Germany now. Germany has made critical energy deals with Russia and obviously does not consider it a threat. Germany likes the economic benefit of troops spending money in Germany. That's all that this is about.

This year would have been the year to run someone against Graham. Should have done that and put him out to pasture. Yes, let's reduce our military in Germany and place them in Poland. I'm all for it and I know that Poland will stand with us during hard times.

I know almost nothing about geopolitics, but when Romney, Rubio, and Graham join up with dims to oppose Trump, then I feel confident Trump is doing the right thing.

The beer is good, the schnitzel excellent, and the people are fun. I have a lot of wonderful memories there. The thing is, protecting Germany was just cover. The whole purpose of being there was to protect the world FROM Germany. Twice in 50 years they tried to take over the world. They believe it is their destiny and will probably try it again, but not soon. The German's have become as sissified as the Brits since they allowed the Muslim invasion. It will take generations to reverse the destruction of their culture and genetics.

If Coons and Kaine are for it, I am against it. Why Rubio and Graham want to side with those two Socialists is beyond me.

We don't have that many troops in Germany. There has been a drastic reduction especially in combat units. There is no point in keeping them there since the retiree homesteaders are moving or dying off. The only benefit to the US is to keep contractors at work and even then the numbers have gone way down. Nevertheless I'm sure General Dynamics, Lockheed and their subs want to maintain some cash flow. There are already temporary unit rotations to Poland and the Baltics so it's time to cut the cord.

#7, Graham had 3 primary opponents and I voted for one of them - Duke Buckner - who is super conservative and happens to be black. I guess that most people just automatically vote for the incumbent and don’t bother to look into who else is running. My own husband did that. Sad. Tragic.

How can a CIC be that, if the CIC cannot move the troops? Is there anything the Democrats do that upsets Romney? We have not heard of anything.

FTA: ''...without Congress confirming that such a move would not negatively impact European alliances or NATO.''
There you have it. Foreigners ahead of Americans. Taxpayers to continue funding socialist government's protection. Especially Germany, the country that cost Americans billions in treasure and tens of thousands of lives. It's about time we are repaid for rebuilding their economy and country since WW2.

#13 is on to it. Germany hasn't been a threat in decades. Since the 1970's its chief function is to serve as a possible perk for young recruits (you could be stationed in Germany - how'd you like to go to Oktoberfest every year?) like all the bases in Europe. If we left, Germany would be more like to at least try to build a real military. Bring 'em home!

Bring home the troops and attach them to DHS to protect our nation from BLM Marxist. Next close the door on Afghanistan the longest war in American history no more blood for mountain goat herders and Taliban rag heads.

Please look up "Commander-in-Chief" and if you don't get it, please look it up again. Mittens is not just an embarrassing disappointment, he is like that stone in your shoe that just keeps digging into the ball of your foot.

Another degree of distance from PDT. And if/when the time comes for an announcement from a certain Senator "drafted" to run a third party "moderate conservative" candidacy, don't be shocked when endorsed by friends and colleagues Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Chris Coons (D-Del.), Tim Kaine (D-Va.) and Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), among others.

Pierre Delecto, Grahamnasty, and gay hot tub Rubio....These three often show that they are not conservative, they only serve themselves at our expense. We must never forget...never listen to what they say...pay attention to what they do and have done. It is well past time to primary them out at the next opportunity.
