In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, libertarian superstar Clint Eastwood said he’s backing Mike Bloomberg over Donald Trump.
(Snip)
In a word, he’s uncomfortable with Trump’s temperament. (Snip)
As for the domestic political scene, Mr. Eastwood seems disheartened. “The politics has gotten so ornery,” he says, hunching his shoulders in resignation. He approves of “certain things that Trump’s done” but wishes the president would act “in a more genteel way, without tweeting and calling people names. I would personally like for him to not bring himself to that level.” As he drives me back to my hotel, (Snip) “The best thing we could do is just get Mike Bloomberg in there.”

You don’t think Clint would say this to draw attention to himself….. or do you?
He is a show biz guy, after all… And known for sort of swimming against the tide. The empty chair drew a lot of attention… Just a thought.

I really do not understand this. The reasoning makes no sense. We all know that bloomie is and autocrat and cannot be trusted . Bloomies temperament is that of a spoiled child. When Bloomie was mayor of NCY he paid off Sharpton to keep peace in Harlem. Which means that his leadership is built on sand. No solid foundation. He also throws fits and pays off people so there are no consequences for his actions. Those are not the qualities for leadership. You think Trump is brash? Yes, thats how he gets the truth out, playing nice with he media is a fools game.

Fuh-gedda-bowdit!
Don't forget, you Bloomberg, you get all the down ballot Democrats with him.
You get Nancy Pelosi back as Speaker and UpChuck Schumer as Senate Majority.
Even if Bloomberg tried to retain Trump's economic policies, he would be powerless and be overwhelmed by the Democrats to UNDO EVERYTHING TRUMP ACCOMPLISHED
Plus Obamacare For All, Green New Deal, Open Borders, Rescind 2A, Reparations, etc
Think it through, Clint. He's running as a Democrat and following the DNC platform
And he will take away your guns

He is entitled to his opinion. I disagree.
Nasty little Mike would be a horrible President. Now, admittedly, some better than many of the other Commies running on the Dem ticket, but a LOT worse than what we have.

Has dementia come knocking on the Eastwood door??? Bloomberg is a small man. The only thing that defines him is a big wad of cash that enables him to get what he wants by paying people off. None of his policies are even workable. He is a pandering snob who hates the working class people who he deems to be beneath him. It is a shame Mr. Eastwood is so offended by the President’s temperament. I thought he was much savvier than to fall for such claptrap. How genial would Clint be if he had to get up every single day and face vicious attacks from lesser men?

A man's got to know his limitations, Clint. Politics is beyond yours. By the way, you are no libertarian, if you vote for a Democrat.

An anonymous source sent in a covertly-recorded audio tape of the conversation Eastwood had with Bloomberg about his candidacy and here is the relevant portion of that transcript where Eastwood is saying to Bloomberg: "Uh uh. . .I know what you’re thinking. . . are the delegates gonna go with the popular vote for Bernie or can I buy the candidacy in a brokered convention. Well, to tell you the truth, in all the excitement of the debates, I kinda don’t know myself. But being that you’re going to have the spend the rest of your fortune and end up livin' under a bridge and poopin’ on the sidewalk if you lose, you gotta ask yourself one question. . . do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, Mike?

Clint, are you ok, bro? Old age taking its toll? This does not sound at all like the Clint Eastwood I used to know. Clint, study Bloomers record and politics before you utter stuff like this. Very very disappointing.

Clint is only human and also an old creature of Hollywood. He's not a real conservative and also leaning pro-abortion. His preference for Bloomberg is pretty much based on his ideology and his diminishing moral standard within the Hollywood community. Don't expect too much out of him for support.

Despite being heavily associated with firearms in his Westerns and police movies, Eastwood has publicly endorsed gun control since at least 1973.
In the April 24, 1973, edition of The Washington Post, the star said, "I'm for gun legislation myself. I don't hunt."
Two years later, in 1975, Eastwood told People magazine that he favors "gun control to some degree."
About a year later, Eastwood remarked that "All guns should be registered. I don't think legitimate gun owners would mind that kind of legislation.
Right now the furor against a gun law is by gun owners who are overreacting.
---------------------------------------------------
In an interview with GQ magazine, Eastwood criticized the Republican Party for its stance on gay marriage, saying "These people who are making a big deal out of gay marriage?
I don’t give a f*^k about who wants to get married to anybody else! Why not?!
We’re making a big deal out of things we shouldn’t be making a deal out of.
They go on and on with all this bullshit about ‘sanctity’ — don’t give me that sanctity crap! Just give everybody the chance to have the life they want.

Actually, he was the mayor of Carmel. It's a lot smaller than Montrerey. Clint's comments are either being taken out of context or dementia is creeping in. Mikey is a little tyrant.
